I was wondering if any one knew any good drama or soap operas that I could get? I read that those are good for learning every day Japanese.

hmmm I would suggest watching anime in japanese. That's what I do. and it does help alittle bit. I also watch interviews of my favoutite J-rocker (gackt-san^-^) and that helps. To be honest it may not improve you japanese but it will get you use to hearing the language being spoken. Ha ha I find after a day or a few hours of listening to japanese straight all I can hear when people talk is Japanese. ha ha mind tricks. that's not to say that'll happen to you though.

Shall We Dance? It's the only one I know. If I can get my mom to find more for me (she's better at finding things than the rest of us) I'll tell you what they are. 3nodding

I was wondering the same thing, but I think children's shows might be more educational to me than soaps would. Aiko-sensee, you've already provided us with those toilet training shows, can you give us any more?

There's a sort of old game show sort of thing called SanMan that my mom likes to watch. I'm not sure if it's still running, but we loan them from a Japanese library and foods store near to where we live.
There's also this mythbusters show I watch when I go to Japan, I don't remember the name of it though.

Hermonie Urameshi Anyone know where I can find Japanese shows to watch? Youtube? That's all I know. You could see about buying some on EBAY, though you should be careful there.

youtube is your best bet. I know that it maybe a pain in the butt to download part by part and also it may come across as being just plain lazy to go out a buy the tv series, but when under some circumstances you have no choice but to run to youtube. rolleyes like me... we don't get Japanese tv shows where I live... well none of the ones that I like anyway.
