I was thinking, Lee does has some gen justsu and ninjutsu chakra he can use in him, so I'm sure that Lee could probably (IF he took courses or somthing) develop some nin/genjustu. I actually think it would be a really good plot twist or somthing.

"Actually I know why he can't do ninjutsu or genjustu, it's because his main chakra system is closed up, so no chakra can get to the rest of his body, without this he can't use chakra to do any ninjutsu or genjutsu, buts thats why he can use the eight gates. The eight gates give him the ability to open those chakra systems and give him a greater amount than anyone else can throughout his body so thats where he gets the aura and the great strength, but if he did learn how to use ninjutsu or genjutsu then he would'nt be what he is today."

Except that Gai, who can obviously use Gen and Ninjutsu, is also able to open the gates. And Lee later gains the ability to use Chakra, but he sticks with Taijutsu.

In the manga? No he can use it now. He used the gates in his fight with Gaara. Oh well, I knew that.

I mean, was it official, or was it in someone's fanfic, or did you just figure it out on your own? it is not fanfic; you can see it in the ; they actually said that some where between vol. 9-12. I just can't remmeber where, but it was gai saying it. But later where the Gai's sensei's group went to help Gaara-sama lee was STANDING ON WATER! That was like amezing!! eek
