As this seems to be the currently ongoing RP in MK, I feel it deserves a spot in here, in it's uninterrupted glory. In the start, the various opponents attempted to coordinate the attacks. As of now, it's developed to "reply when you see it" with nearly everyone joining in. For those unwilling to dig back to the beginning of the story, here it is from start to whenever I last update it.

Please do not post in this thread about the RP. Please post in the official MK thread if you'd like to join in. This is merely the story to date, without interruptions.

The setting...a train grave yard. It looked abandonned and devoid of all human life. The rusted and twisted frames of engines and frieght cars cluttered the expance of cement and cobblestone. The only sign of warmth were the few functional street lamps - on this cloudy night they were the only light source in the yard.

A man walked amidst the wreckage and decommissioned trains. He pulled a crumpled note from the pocket of his long coat and read from it. "Meet me here...yaddayaddayadda...I'm a woman. I'm hot. I have what you want...bring cookies."

Who the hell actually writes 'yaddayaddayadda' on a letter? Something really didn't seem right about this. It could be a trap - and he had no cookies.

Delven was of a lean figure, and stood at 5'9". He wore all black, except for a long white coat that came down to his knees, but down to his ankles on the left side and a red tie down his front. On his head he wore a tall, black hat, which was tipped downward so it's rim partially covered his eyes. On his nose sat dark sunglasses, which reflected the eerie orange light from the street lamps as he passed them by.

Delv stopped and looked around him, his dark red eyes scanning through the darkness.

Crim` Skylicker
Crim` sniggered from the dark recesses of one of the busted traincars in the cluttered mess of the trainyard. The butt of his cigarette would drift past the very feet of Delvenerrim. Crimson Skylicker knew that the man's senses were quite intuned with his surroundings, and he believed that he would pick up even the small brown object rolling past his boots.

Crim` grabbed the top of the traincar and pulled himself above it. He wore a black jumpsuit, a red scarf around his face that fell past his knees, and on his back he had a large BUSTER SWORD strapped to his back with bandages wrapped around it.

"YOU ARE NO MATCH FOR THE OMNI-SLASH!" he would scream in an overly dramatic tone, brandishing the huge sword which apparently wasn't real cuz it kept flopping around everytime he moved it.

Did Halloween come early this year or had he just lost hat little sanity he had left?

Delven looked down in time to see the glowing butt of a cig roll past his feet. His eyes narrowed because at that very moment he knew who it was. Who else could it have been. Delven looked up at the shifting movement, and the sound of steel-toed boots on rusted metal. He frowned a little.

"Damnit Crim, I should've known. YOU ARE NOT CLOUD!" Taking a rock from the pocket of his coat he checks it at Crim's head. "Dodge this, poser!"

And so it begins.

Crim` Skylicker
The badly diguised Skylicker would swing at the oncoming rock with the fake buster sword, the hollow plastic bending a bit as he batted it back, only a few feet away.

Soon Crim' jumped down, landing with knees bent, then standing. He reached around to his left shoulder with his right hand, and in one pull the costume was gone, revealing the man in his normal attire as the costume was tossed to his right. He wore a red leather jacket, his sheathed combat knife strapped to the outside of it on the right side of his chest. He also wore dark blue jeans, a pair of studded gloves, a black bandana tied around his head keeping his long pink hair out of his face and black boots.

"So, what do you think of my costume? I wanted Vincent Valentine but they were all out." he said, a confident smirk on his face. He'd scratch at the scar beneath his right eye.

Delv didn't expect the rock to hit - he would've been disappointed if it had. At least after all this time his reflexes hadn't dulled. Raising a hand Delv awkwardly scratched behind his neck. He shook his head and grinned. "It's not bad, but I've seen better costumes at conventions. Did you make that sword yourself?" He motioned toward the crumpled plastic thing on the ground with a gloved hand. "I would've gone for Sephiroth, but with that pink hair...probably wouldn't work."

His grin turned into a smirk.

"Heh... heeh... That's funny."

Crim` reached in his pocket and pulled out a small button-like item... With a button on it.

Click.

Soon the wall of trains behind Delve went off in a loud bang as the small device triggered the previously planted explosives. Flaming train parts flew at Delve from behind. Let's get this party started

Crouching atop a lamppost behind Crim, Kat closed her eyes as a rush of wind passed from the explosion, whipping around her orange hair. Suddenly grateful she'd followed the trapper, and not the victim, she smoothed out her black dress and watched the scene below. Her tail wrapped about her waist, she was counting on the bright light below her to blind anyone casually looking her way. But just to be on the safe side, she drew a Magnum from her bra and waited for the best time to enter the battle.

A cheshire grin spread accross Delv's face - he didn't suspect a thing. "What is this, sarcasm?"

The glint of a small metallic object caught his eye. Now what could that be...then he heard the click. A mere two seconds seperated the sound of the click, and the deafening explosion behind him. Time seemed to slow down in that two seconds. The night seemed to light up in bright orange and white as the shock wave of the blast created a wind that swept through both of them. His coat moved in the wind, twisting around. A black shadow erupted from around his neck, surrounding him. A particularly large slab of steal hit the shadow - it bent down the middle and skidded off to the side.

As the dust settled Delv turned back to face Crim, the tendril of shadow lashing behind him. "That was a nasty trick... " Drawing his combat knife from its sheath Delv launched at Crim' with suprising speed. His knife flashed, arching downward diagonally, going for the neck and shoulder.

Crim` separated his legs a bit, his knees bending. He raised his arms, his left at his side bent at the elbow, hand relaxed and slightly open. His right hand was raised in front of him, elbow bent and hand open. He would step back on his left leg slightly, bending his knees more to allow a bit more balnce on his part, and attempting to grab Delve's right wrist mid-swing with his right hand, and quickly raising his left hand from his side. His left hand would jut out towards Delve's shirt, grabbing at it, and he'd shift his weight to his right so as to try and take advantage of Delve's momentum and send him into the ground at Crim's left side with minimal effort on his own part. It was supposed to be a simple defensive faceplant.

Crim`, if the 'attack' were successful, would simply bounce away a few feet aftwerward kind of like Muhamad Ali, looking down at Delve.

He saw Crim' taking a defencive posture as his knife arched. After years, Delv knew many of Crim's moves, including his defencive throws. Being this commited to an attack, there was little to nothing that he could do besides mittigate the damage that would be done, and set himself up for a counter-attack.
Crim's grasp for his knife-weilding arm took hold, and he soon felt himself being pulled down by his own momentum. While he still had some control he jumped into it, towards Crim' giving him enough additional momentum to land on his back instead of his face.
As Crim' jumps away, Delv rolls to the left in a crouch while the tendril of shadows whips out from the side, using the shadows of night to cover itself and its approach. It whips past Crim and then wraps around, trying to get around his legs and trip him up as Delv made another run with his knife.

Crim` would stop moving, taking a defensive stance again. He narrowed his eyes, watching Delve but he heard the familiar and always-creepy swooshing noise of the demonic scarf. He crouched, quickly grabbed the handle of his knife and drew it downward from it's sheathe upon releasing the button that kept it secure with it's thin strap but also reached behind him with his left hand and quickly drew a throwing knife from a small holster at the back of his belt, throwing it at Delve's torso area while leaping to his left using the power he had built up in his legs.

He would avoid the scarf for now, but land some 6 feet left of where he was previously standing, first rolling on his back and ending up on one kneefacing Delve, leaving him a bit open but at the same time in a better position than he would have been in if he had been tripped up by the scarf.

From atop her perch, Kat watches the battle intently. Delv's scarf would be an issue, her only means of neutralizing it, MiniKitty, was off on her nightly feasting and nowhere to be seen. Perhaps Crim would take out the scarf, at the least.

A spot of white near the scene caught her eye then, and she turned to look. Was it MiniKitty, coming back from her hunt? But her heart fell as she realized she was not that lucky. PrettyKitty, her Kiki Kitty? What was she possibly attempting to accomplish? Likely she was looking for someone to pet her, the little softie, and would destroy her cover. Well, there was nothing to be done about her but to hope, since any attempts to retrieve her would definitely destroy her cover. Supressing a groan, Kat turned back to the battle, keeping an eye on the small white kitten also following the battle.

The scarf doesn't react like it usually does to try to save its wearer, but continues snaking past Crim toward a train engine behind him. The scarf seems to have a plan of its own.

Being left to deal with the throwing knife on his own, Del's reflexes kicked in. His upper torso seemed to twist out of the way, and the knife sailed past. Delv watched, not really knowing what his own demonic scarf was up to. Figuring it knew what it was doing, Delv looked back at Crim and motioned a 'come here' with his fingers.

Meanwhile his scarf snaked inside one large, round tanker. Moments later an explostion again rocks the area as the scarf sets off a fire inside the gastank. Brilliant flames erupt, sending shrapnel and large engine parts at them.

Crim` widened his eyes. He didn't expect any explosions tonight, aside from ones he set off himself. He noticed a small cat, but what he also noticed was a large piece of shrapnel flying upwards which would probably land on said cat. Crim` dove at the cat, switching his knife's grip to a reversed one so as not to skewer the seemingly innocent feline, grabbing it in cupped arms and rolling to a run, the large heaping hunk of flaming metal landing violently only a few feet behind him. He took cover behind some of the still undamaged wrecked trains.

He would set the cat down and remain knelt, looking out over the wreckage, scanning the area and wondering where Delve was.
