...Almost.

This particular parade (Sycamore Pumpkinfest, if anyone cares) is one that I have marched seven times. Seven. That's a lot.
It's also a competition for the bands- and we've finally moved up a division. For the longest time we were a Div II band and we would easily clear the board and get not only first for Best Overall Performance, but Best Guard/Auxillary (4 years in a row), Best Drum Major (3 years), and Best Percussion (4 years).
But, as this was our first year as a Div I and we were easily the smallest band in this division, we didn't do as well. No Best of anything, but we placed third in Overall Performance. So it wasn't a total bust, but plenty of kids were still bummed.

Me? I'm glad it's over. It's my last parade this year, and being a senior and not planning on marching in college (colleges in Chicago just don't have marching bands xD), it's my last parade for like, ever. It was a good one though. So it ended on a good note (no pun intended >.>).

So. Anyone else have a story about their last parade?
