This is my first time I'm makin a thread(with a discussion inteadend), so don't flame me that much... sweatdrop
So if you watched then news you probably saw that my school (Jackson HS) has some people infected with tuberculosis, and alot of people are gettin tested to see if they have it. But the stupid thing is that they won't tell us who has it because it's confidential. Which I think is b.s. cause I, or other people, could be the persons friend and get the damn disease.
Discuss: Tuberculosis: Confidentiality: Anythin else:

whoa, just saw a commercial about your school, and now i know what it was all about. and i'm sure they will tell you if you're at risk. i think they'd have to. besides, if they were your friend, they'd tell you.

I can't remember whether or not TB is contagious(is it?). The only experience I've had with or related to TB is recieving shots for it...I really don't like getting shots(who does?).
It's probably best that the infected people's identities aren't revealed, imagine the sort of teasing(or exclusion) they'd get from people, and if there's any risk of infection, they can be taken out of school temporarily.

I heard about that a couple days ago. Kinda scary actually. Glad it's not in our school, especially considering the size. But with today's meds, I dont the TB would be too hard to get through. Hope you have a strong immune system.

TB is an airborn thing. and there's no doubt they would be excluded, even though it's totally curable. my grandma had it once when she was a kid, and things are better now. and yeah, our school would practically have to be shut down and everyone tested it's so crowded o.O

Perhaps there'd be other kinds of medication available for it?(pills?)

Saying I'm from Berlin would be "Ich bin Berliner." When I went to Germany, I bought a shirt that said Ich bin ein Berliner... in Berlin. It was great.

Munich is the best, then Hannover. Berlin is prolly 3rd.
