Hello All.
I will be accepting pictures for the Halloween costume contest up until November 3rd. It has been brought to my attention that alot of people won't be dressed up till Halloween and my original cut off date for that contest was incorrect. Sorry for any confusion.

Yeah... that sort of makes more sense. whee
So my question is this: does the picture have to be of your own costume, or is it a contest for the photograph itself, where the criteria is that the subject matter has to be a Hallowe'en costume? Will the pictures be judged on the costume itself, or the quality/composition/etc of the photograph?

The contest itself will be judged by the members voting in a poll, so it's hard to know what they will look for. Either kind of picture is fine though.

I just want everyone to be aware that a great costume would not automatically make a great photograph, and that an amazing photo of a simple costume could win over an unimaginitave and boring shot of the best costume evar. Rawr.

I do those! whee Ooo, fun fun I stood in my college with a camera on that setting and just took the picture. Held it for ages. It should be okay, unless I jittered and the light got screwey. But it was very cool wayching people try and not get in the way, when in fact, I wanted them to walk past. xp But then, they had no idea I was on that setting. lol

I do (understand what he meant). I think that's funny that people didn't want to walk by when that's what you wanted them to do, but when you're trying to take a picture of a specific thing/person people just won't get out of your damn way. rolleyes It's like they're subconciously spiteful or something...
