A massive mansion owned by Lord Evanescere Purgier, with a few acres and large garden surrounded by giant iron gates in the Nobles' Section. There's always the lingering smell of incense (and possibly blood) in the mansion's premises. It holds 4 floors and a basement, which door is locked tightly.

The petite "princess" smiled triumphantly as she noted the surprised and disgusted face from her captor. Pearly whites were exposed widely, though the look fell away at the treat to her owners. Her lips formed an angry little pout as her head fell towards her chest in a form of submitting. She couldn't let anything happen to them...No she couldn't. Her water coloured eyes looked back up at him, brow furrowed in helpless loss.

"I...hate you," the captive muttered, letting her head fall to the floor.

"You...you can't be human. You're cold...sadistic...I hate you...I hate you...I hate you," Her musical, flowing voice spoke, voice laced in a slightly melancholic note.

The submission after the threat made the lord of the mansion smirk...which slowly faded as the wish-granter continued to speak. I hate you, I hate you, I hate you...

"I can assure you that I'm human, wench." he replied, suddenly cold. Oh yes, he knew very well that he was human...A flicker of pain flashed through emerald hues before turning malicious and hateful once again.

"And I hate you. I'm glad we're on mutual terms on that subject." Lord Evanescere added, elegance and grace that he was well known for returning after the sudden coldness.

He had slipped too easily...The man would make sure that would never happen. Again.

She knew all too well he was smirking at her. Just absolutely adoring her instant submission. But there was nothing she could do...

That thought faded off sharply at the sound of an tone that would make an arctic blizzard seem like a heat wave. Furrowing a brow in curiosity, one brow leaned upward even as they knitted. The wish granter looked up if only slightly, silver tresses hanging about her.

"And I hate you. I'm glad we're on mutual terms on that subject." That elegant, cooley handled tone returned, and there seemed like she had nothing left to really spectate. What was that voice, though? Was that really Lord Evanescere Purgier, the one she had come to know and despise? And if it was...what was he hiding? Where had that biting cold come from?

With a light, breathy little sigh, the captive let her eyes flutter shut, red-faded lids lying gentle on top of the other even as crimson lashes intermingled. This was going to be a rough stay, and something in her stomach told her that this was but the beginning.

Seeing the wish-granter move into further submission made him satisfied. He patted her lightly on the cheek with a surprisingly warm hand and offered a mocking smirk before turning to leave. The lord's mind travelled back to what had happened earlier...Currise had died, hadn't he? A frown formed on his lips at the thought, though he could shake the feeling that he had felt quite different after that event. At times where he couldn't place a finger on something, he felt the urge to wrap all of his fingers around somebody's neck, cut into their skin, and draw the crimson liquid he so desperately needed.

Lord Evanescere felt the tips of his fingers, small cuts purposely there. He exmanined his fingernails briefly, sharp as needles and as long and thin as them too. This is why the lord never felt the need to use weapons. The blood that pulsed through him was more powerful than that of a gun. Or a whip, for that matter.

Cur-ri-se. The events that took place in the room with cages replayed in his mind once again as he now found himself sitting on his silk covered bed.

What to do, what to do?

The wish-granter felt a warm hand pat her cheek as her head hung low. A feeling of disgust and burning rage bubbled throughout her body. A pale nose wrinkled in utter revulsion as the sight of a smirk settled into her colorless eyes. Her fists tightened in fury, rattling the chains on her wrists slightly. White locks engulfed the captive's vision as she let her head slip.

Down, down, down, until her chin touched her collar bone.

Just submit. Submit, and maybe you'll get out of this alive.
The thought sounded in her head.

Goodness. Evanescere just couldn't keep his mind off of him, could he? What a pervert. He snickered at the thought. The man had no room to be talking, did he? Well, no. Of course not. A smirk brushed against thin lips as he cocked his right leg over the arm of his chair, which was more of a dias than chair, body sprawled over it. Arms and legs hung carelessly about as the blonde fiddled with a stray lock of hair.

"My, my, Evanescere. You really should stop thinking about me. It's rather disgusting, are you aware of that? My stomach's turning already," The voice sounded out smoothly in the feminine Lord's head. Maybe he could have some form of pleasure in taunting Evanescere. It wasn't like his son was nearby.

And, after all, Lord Currise absolutely detested boredom.

After hearing the snickering echo in his mind, Lord Evanescere began to wonder if he had reached the limit of insanity.

Not that it would cause him to panic in any way.

Of course, when he heard the smooth, taunting, all too familiar voice of the supposedly dead Currise, the noble nearly tore his silk sheets with his nails in surprise. His emerald eyes widened momentarily before everything clicked. How could he be so ignorant?

"You're such a depraved man, Currise. Only you would think of something like that." he replied with a scowl, then a sudden smirk. Was he relieved that Currise was alive?

My, the questions just kept piling up over the years, didn't they? He didn't have an answer for that one either.

Was he worried that the blonde wasn't really there, and that he was simply hearing things due to his mental unstability?

Possibly. Not that he'd admit it. Dignity always seemed to blur common sense.

It always had.

Currise snickered again. It was amazing how shocked Evanescere could be sometimes. Rather amusing, actually. The words of Evanescere's response flooded into his mind. They rang hollowly in his head. This was Evanescere's voice, then? He shut his eyes, trying to take it all in. This is what it was like to hear something, even if it was anything. Even if it was only one single voice, it was a sound. One he would probably always remember. That voice rang into his head again.

"Were you expecting something else from me, Evanescere? Oh... and by the way, I'm not just some pigment of your imagination. I'm here just as much as you are."

The voice from Currise's lips was slightly disappointed that Evanescere even thought he was a byproduct of his insanity. What nonsense. Utter bull. A scowl formed on his thin lips.

The reply had caused relief to fill his mind, thoughts echoing all at once. But the calming relief was corroded by another realization.

Currise could hear exactly what he was thinking and see every memory in his mind.

The noble's soul spiked and jerked in protest, and Evanescere focused to clear his mind. The first thing he needed to do was...

...build mental barriers and walls in front of his memories' doors.

There were too many things in his memories that were the last things he wanted the shrewd blonde to see. He could hear the mental walls close tightly in his mind, probably only providing three or four rooms for Currise to wander around in. Anywhere else was locked.

And they would stay that way.

Emerald eyes closed gently, the image of the man he was still connected to appearing immediately. A sigh of both irritation and hidden relief escaped slender lips.

This was going to be hell.

Currise raised a thin, near white brow as he heard doors locked, positively forbidding him entrance into any of the places. A sneer set onto his lips.

Well, well, Evanescere. Seems we all just have our little secrets, now don't we. You hid your's with locks and keys, I hide mine with... multiple things, I suppose. It's harder to decipher them all, and then break in, than to simply pick a lock, now isn't it? Currise thought to himself, his own voice echoing throughout the inner chambers of his mind. A vague thought meandered into his head. Could Evanescere hear his thoughts, just as he could hear Evanescere's? Possibly. Quite, actually. But not definite. No harm in what he'd thought, however. Simple hints, but nothing the overly-beatiful lord didn't know.

Speak of the devil... Currise raised an eyebrow as the familiar form of Evanescere graced his eyes. The other man sighed with irritation. The blonde let a smirk touch his thin lips for a second, before flicking it away. The usual simplicity of reading lips returned to him. Evanescere... spoke too fast for easy comprehesion. Currise, who was accustomed to translating lip movement's into words, found it very difficult to translate sounds into the words he knew. It was a wonder that he could speak as a normal noble at all...

... No, not really. After all, he was shrewd, intelligant, and perceptive. With those qualities, why wouldn't he be able to speak like everyone else?

"Why, hello there, Evanescere. I see you're simply that excited to see me."
PostPosted: Sun Nov 19, 2006 5:25 pm

Malicious emerald hues set themselves upon the familiar face of Currise, instinctively avoiding eye contact like usual.

"But of course." he replied, a smile appearing to match the elegant and sarcastic tone.

The lord crossed his arms loosely, lengthy sleeves hanging as his brow creased suddenly. Thoughts of the blonde in front of him soon became audible for him, a smirk soon sliding onto his lips.

"I'd positively love to see you attempt to pick those locks, Currise." the feminine noble purred before his eyes wandered and examined his surroundings silently. There were hardly audible murmurs that echoed and reflected off the walls of his mind, all familiar voices and accusations.

One of which he despised just as much as adored.

One stood out above the rest, and it kept every ounce of self-control to keep his heart from bursting in sheer fear and not fall to his knees.

"The child is corrupt by Satan! Drown him in holy water--" The soft voice broke off as Evanescere cut off more memories, the sound of walls pounding against the floor in forbiddance eagerly.

He was thankful Currise could not hear his heart beat too.

Currise's rounded off nose wrinkled in disgust at the sarcastic voice that escaped Evanescere's lips. What a shame that he had to hear it now.

"I'd positively love to see you attempt to pick those locks, Currise," The man in front of him purred, the blonde's eyes laying on his lips for translation. A sneer settled onto his lips, but was soon wiped away. Evanescere was acting oddly, and he recognized it immediatly. Midnight eyes narrows suspiciously as he watched the mere moments that noble was acting so oddly, quickly memorizing the incident. The faint, inaudible whisper that accompanied it was at fault. But, almost as if set off by the rememberance of memories from Evanescere, some of the least pleasant memories were set off in Currise's head.

A fire raged in his skin, trying to tear his flesh again. The desperate whimpers of a beaten child. The feeling of blood on his skin, drenching him. A shiver ran down his spine at the flood of words that rang in his head. A single, soft, voice rang above all else.

"I love you, Currise. I'll cherish these moments for all my life, my love. I would die for you."

"As would I, Clelia. You are my life; you are my soul."

Moments sped through his head, only to be cut off by a barking command in his mind, one Evanescere could undoubtedly hear.

ENOUGH!

Currise looked at Evanescere after the sheer second his memories had run loose, then smirked the same smirk as ever.

"I never said I would attempt such a thing, Evanescere. I simply was thinking that it would be easier to break down that door, than face other trials and then the simplicity of a door. I believe it makes sense."

Now, the only thing left to do, was see how Evanescere responded. He'd started acting like normal, time to see if the lord would fall for it.

A narrowing of eyes, for Evanescere, always meant something accusing or suspicious. The dignified noble was currently narrowing his malicious emerald eyes at the man in front of him.

To take the bate, or not to take the bate?

He cleared his throat, mask calm, before quirking one, slim eyebrow at the blonde.

"It seems, Currise, as reluctant as I am to admit such an abhorrent fact, that our own sons are better off in this situation than we are ourselves." The tone was clearly laced with the utmost distaste, and yet, as per usual, graced with the elegant pitch he was known for. The truth of that statement nearly made the lord contort his feminine countenance into an expression of raw loathing, but he held it behind a serene mask.

"Wouldn't you agree? I think it's best if I keep out of here until you return your body." There was no detestment in the motion he suggested on his part. It was established long ago that Evanescere would not allowed Currise to even come close to him. And yet, after all these years, it only caused their soul connection to scream and long for atleast a simply shred of physical contact.

But the lord wouldn't even allow eye contact.

Hm. That was odd. Currise had expected at least some sort of reaction from Evanescere. He just barked “Enough” in his mind, but maybe that wasn’t enough to stir the man. Pique his interest, probably, but not stir him. He’d remember that.

A smirk settled onto his lips. Of course their sons were handling the situation better than them; their sons weren’t shunning the soul connection for years on end like they had been doing. They had both gotten used to it, though. The screaming of their souls, the lack of eye contact, it had all become routine, but it wasn’t like Currise didn’t, at times, want his soul to just stop screeching and give him a moment of peace.

But it was of no matter.

“But of course I agree that our sons are handling their present situation better than we are. They always have. But I don’t have any control over whether or not you come here. It’s your mind, last I checked,” His voice was cool and even as always. The topic of his son didn’t bring a dripping tone of detestment to his voice like it did with Evanescere. After all, he thought it would be perfectly enthralling to have his son back. Ah, the wonderful times of old.
