Hey I just got this crazy thought when in the Gaara vs Itachi Thread... I thought hey what if Gaara had joined the Akatsuki back when he was all evil and s**t I mean I know he has a Bijuu but if he joined them they would use it to their advantage... Its a crazy thought buts its sorta funny.

It would be very difficult though because Gaara's raison d'etre was simply to kill others whereas the Akatsuki [Highlight to read. Spoiler Alert --->] simply want to take other the world. Gaara would probably get angry at some of the Akatsuki and try to kill them and the Akatsuki would try to kill him because of the whole jinchiruuki thing.

Yes it would be strange but think about it if they had taken his demon back then when his intent to kill was like high then the demon would just flip out once taken out of Gaara since it was a part of him it would go crazy and Kill Akatsuki anyway they would have done better to just have him as an Akatsuki.

I don't think that would work out...at all. Sure Gaara's all evil in the beginning, but he would still see that the Akatsuki didn't want the same things he did, plus as a member he wouldn't have been able to kill all the time, like he could do as a shinobi. Akatsuki was a secret, they couldn't just have one of there members go on a killing spree.

It would be pretty awesome if he joined Akatsuki... we'd be hearing alot more about them if he did.
