really I usually don't go by bands, I just find a song I like and put it into my videos thread and listen to it repeatedly. But I go to the TSO concert every year, so there are a few that like. Basically, if I can remember the band and like more then three of their songs, I'll say I like them. Me even remembering them is harder than it sounds.
I like alot of DDR songs too but mostly just the faster ones.

They are great bands! Within Temptation is amazing, maybe you should try looking up Nightwish? I highly recommend it. ^^
