Thought we could start this off with something simple like numbers! I've given you the basic readings, along with each kanji...and the stroke order! A few notes...

First of all, it is important to know that the Japanese don't really use numbers in kanji when just writing plain numbers. They do use the numeral kanji when it comes to things such as counting words, months, etc. Examples of such include hitori (一人), [One person], or rokugatsu (六月), [June].

Another thing to note is the different readings of the different kanji. When counting (one, two, three etc. as NUMBERS, not as counting objects), the Chinese reading is used. The Japanese reading is generally used in counting different objects. (Japanese has different suffixes used when counting people, buildings, long, thing objects, liquids, etc.)

So...here's a little key for you guys.

Red=Chinese origin.
Blue=Japanese origin

One last thing...

Everything written in brackets {} are to be written out in hiragana, or could be replaced with different kanji.

I think that's it...so, lets get started!

It's good minus a few things:

It's best if you use on'yomi and kun'yomi instead of chinese origin/ Japanese origin.

Plus you should say that 'itsu' in 'one' is "i" with a small "tsu" because small "tsu" doubles the following consonant.

ps: look at paragraph one for the spelling mistake. It's hiori. Plus you left out some readings but other than that, Awesome job! smile 3nodding

I didn't say on yomi and kun yomi because it just isn't necessary, and I'm sure it would just lead to further confusion. xP

I did spell itsu like that...? sweatdrop

And, yeah, spelling mistake. Well, you know. 人間たったです! domokun I left out any readings that just aren't that common, since this was just a basic thing. Thanks, though! 3nodding

lol No I meant イツ is what you said but it's イッ. Same for いつ いっ .

Little tsu doubles a following consonant like in "sexy" iroppoi (色っぽい)
I see, lol sorry then sweatdrop

I see, though I think it would be best to include all readings in case people are learning like "seventh day" is nanoka 七日 but you never wrote "nano" for seven. I didn't look over them all but yeah.

Sorry though about being mean sweatdrop I'm just learning kanji (and japanese razz ) and I have a kanji learner thing in this guild and The Japanese Student Guild and so yeah.

I know about little tsu, as well. The only thing that threw me for a loop is the fact that...well, I didn't write it in any form of kana. So I'm still a little...confused. x3

I understand what you mean about providing other readings :3nod Just for the sake of a basic introduction to numeral kanji...they aren't here xP If you would like to post them, feel free! :}
