Amaterasu finally had a meaningful stride. She had an idea of where to go to start her new life out. She glided across the savannah with a smooth uncharacteristic confidence since she had figured it out. Her meeting with that stranger last night had helped her too, he had lifted her spirits, and killed off her insomnia, which meant she was well rested. With a couple of feild mice in her belly from breakfast, and a nice day to travel in, she truly felt alive like she hadn't felt in a long time.

A slow yawn exploded from the end of a muzzle as Akamichi stretched out his stocky body until he heard his spine crack one happy moment. A squeak came from his back and Isis was thrown onto the ground, the little meerkat was a heavy sleeper, so it was easy to scare her.
"Silly thing." Aka stated simply and stood up, walking out of his den slowly and blinking his two toned eyes groggily as the sun hit them. "Another day, another trail."
The husky marked maned wolf grumbled and started his walk down towards the watering hole nearby. He needed to eat or he'd get grumpy, but then Aka was normally silent even when he was grumpy so it was okay.

She continued onward through the beautiful landscape surrounding her, daydreaming about anything that could enter her mind. She was snapped out of it at the smell of water, and she was quick to head off in that direction. As she approached she could see another wolf. She padded up towards him respectfully, and dipped her head in a slight bow, "I hope I'm not intruding, I'm just here for some water, and then I'll leave. My name's Amaterasu, by the way," she said, waiting to see the wolf's response.

Aka had just started lapping up the water when a white and black female came up to him, making his ears p***k forward. It wasn't as if there weren't other wolves that came to this watering hole, but because it was so secluded it was rare.
"It's a pleasure to meet you then Amaterasu. My name's Akamichi, it's certainly rare to meet someone so named after a goddess." He chuckled and sat down quietly. "What brings you this way then?"

She smiled at his point of the rarity of her name. It hadn't been the first time she heard it. "I'm on my way to a certain somewhere. I don't know the name, but I'm certain I'll know it when I see it. My mother told me about it when I was just a pup," she said, letting him know of her plans. Since he didn't seem to want her out of his land, she might linger here a while longer than she had planned.

One of his ears pricked up brightly as he wagged his two colored tail brightly and chuckled. "Is there any way that I could help you then?" Akamichi leaned his head to one side and smiled gently.
He heard a noise behind him that could only be attributed to Isis and flinched as the little black meerkat zipped under his feet and into the water.
"Isis." Aka said with a huffed sigh. It would have been best if he could just bash his head into a rock or something, but the maned wolf just didn't care about it anymore.

"What was that!?!" Amaterasu yipped, surprised at the critter. In all of her wandering, she had never seen such a thing. Its scurrying had made her want to poke at it, but didn't get the chance; it had reached the water too quickly. She shook her head to clear her mind, and she didn't wait for his response, "I don't think you can help me... I only need to rest for a short bit and then I'll be on my way," she said pleasantly, hoping she had not intruded on the male.

"That would be my little charge.... Isis." Aka dropped his ears to the sides of his head and shook his red and white head softly as the little meerkat popped up of the top of his head from his mane and waved to Ama with her small paw brightly.
"Helllllllooooooo!" Isis crowed brightly and skittered down Akamichi's leg to sit before the white and black female brightly. "I'm Isis, who're you?" The little meerkat leaned her head to one side and suddenly got hefted up by Aka.
"Sorry about that."

Ammy chuckled at the little furry ball of energy. Never did she imagine such a small creature could be so full of life. "Oh, it's fine," she said to Aka, wishing to answer the little creature's question, and still wanting to simply poke it. Ammy gave her head a quick little shake to get the thought of poking the meerkat out of it, and continued, "I certainly hope I didn't disturb your daily norm. I know how much that can mess up a day..." Ammy chuckled with some fond memories. "If you need me to head out, I can do that. The more I move, the sooner I'll get there. But I would prefer to rest for about an hour, if you don't mind..." Ammy asked, hoping the male wouldn't mind her having a break.

"It's a free watering hole, stay as long as you want. If you need some shade you can always use my den for it." Aka pointed over with his white nose to the rise out of the ground, it was nice and dark and cool in there, nothing like it was out where they were. "And go ahead and poke her, trust me it doesn't faze her at all.
Isis cast a glare up at her prospective caretakeer and frowned a little before crawling back up his neck and chewing on his ear lightly. Aka rolled his two-toned eyes and looked back at Amaterasu.
"So where is it that you're headed?"

Ammy reached her paw up and poked the meerkat. She smirked at the simple pleasure of such an act. "Like I said,I don't know the name of the place, but I know it has big rocks. That's how I'll find it. I knew it was north of home, but I'm not sure which direction to head now. They're supposed to be really big rocks though; visible from a long ways off. You wouldn't happen to know the direction, would you?" Ammy asked the male.

Really big rocks? Akamichi knew only the Pridelands that had rocks that big, but he didn't want to say that and seem an idiot before her, so instead he nodded his head and smiled slightly.
"would you like me to take you to the ones that I know? At the very least I can escourt you that far." Aka said as he smiled at Isi's pleasant squeak to being poked.

"I'm not sure," Ammy said to his offer to help. She was amazed that the wolf knew where she was talking about. She didn't expect anyone to know about it... "The rest of the way I feel like I need to do on my own. A sort of personal... achievement... thing. You know what I mean?" Ammy asked, upset at her tip-of-the-tongue moment. She hoped he wasn't upset that she didn't take him up on the offer. As a compromise, she said, "However, I could go for a hint as to which direction it's in."

"A spiritual goal in other words?" Aka allowed slightly, his tail wagging slightly above his back and his eyes half lidding gently to show her it didn't matter to him. "Well, what you do is up to you, that's your business."
Sniffing a little and then taking a slurp of water and blinking his two toned eyes faintly. "okay, look that way, towards that cloud with the grey bottom to it. If you go straight as the crow flies in that direction then you'd make it there in a couple of days time."
