I'm having another indisicive moment on choosing which elf doll I want on my birthday in the year 2008. I'm such a perfectionist I've made a huge plan on which doll to get once a year... gonk
Dream of Doll DOT Ducan or a Volks Inc. FCS SD13 elf doll.
Ducan is to die for, with his gorgeus nails and everything else. I would like to adopt a Ducan rather than get a Homme Ducan and have someone cut his ears stressed . I also love his outfit! But by 2008, I assume his price WILL rise up a large amount.
A FCS is self-explanatory. I can choose the ears, head, hands, etc. I also love the newest head choice and it's perfect for an elf doll. By 2008 the head will still be available but I dont know how much the price will rise.
So I decided to make a poll to see what you guys think! My decision of whichone to get will change over the years, I'm sure, but I'm ever so curious on people's opinions. Also, the poll results wont be my decision either sweatdrop . Plus you get some gold!

I voted FCS just because I don't like DoD.
Although I personally like the option of FCS sunlight skin. Oooooo~~~
It's all up to you though, as you'll be his owner.

Oh jeebers.....decisions.
Im a bigger fan of DoT Ducan( though Im definately confused as to why you would cut his ears( that would ruin his value in resale....? Why not get the Homme, sell the outfit and commission a copy of the ELF version with that money? I got the Elf one and it really isnt all the special....easy to make and the material it is made of sucks...Shirio_Yukiko on DOA is a fab seamstress and makes great stuff for DoT. I bet she could do it great)

Ducan. Though, I gotta admit, I'm not a big fan of those nails. I'd be getting him different hands if it was me. But then, it's not me! biggrin

I personally don't like Volks dolls..
And the fact that Ducan's got those amazing nails.. I'd go with him. XD
But uhh my opinion is really nothing to go by so.

I personally don't care much for Volks, and I do like Ducan, but I voted FCS because you'll have more options and it'll probably be fun for you to customize your own doll if you like Volks.

I'd stick with FCS. I've seen the Ducans in real life, and I really don't think that they are as attractive as in the pictures on DoD (of course, I feel this way about MOST of their dolls). Plus, by then he should be rediculously expensive, and paying that much for ears and nails just seems silly to me. It'll probably be nigh impossible to find a fullset by then, and you'll end up paying $200-$300 just for the outfit.
FCS is a lot of fun (I've done one for an F-31 biggrin ) and the price SHOULD stay the same. Plus, you get a pair of Zouks which you can sell for $100+ if you don't want them, a wig, and you get to tell them exactly how you want your faceup.
Besides... Volks is awesome and their dolls just have a great feel to them (very fun to shake >>).

I would go full choice...My sister has the regular Camine(which Ducan is the tender of)and though perfectly beautiful....he doesnt tend to look particularly smart.If you want a older wiser look,the F31 is a very lovely mature mold(Volks does very good in the smart looking mature male department and DoD boys are either sweet faced teens or in Ducans case,snarky teens)I personally love DoD the best(every one of their dolls Ive seen are gorgeous when painted and posed right) and I love Ducan(esp Homme) but they miss the mark on the wise part of things.
