I can't find a thread for the october 06 book. I'd like to try to read it before the end of the month. Any help?

I think since Halloween is next week already maybe we should try to plan a November book instead. That way we'd have plenty of time to read and discuss it. I'd like to do something with family since it's the season of Thansgiving and all, but I'm open to anything.

Guys, I'm sorry there haven't been many updates lately. I don't know about Katane and Melian and Ari, but I am in my senior year of high school, so I'm really busy. I'll try to get one up for this coming month.

I think it was more of people wondering when the next monthly book was going to be announced that's all. I didn't mean to put any unnecessary pressure on anyone. I think we just wanted to put it out there that we were unsure of what was going on.

Anything would pretty much work for me. I'm getting ready to finish a book, and I'd love to start my first Book Club book next. So hopefully we can pick a book soon. biggrin

I actually just bought some at the bookstore over the weekend but no of them really seem like ones we could use for book club. I saw "Marley and Me", "The Thirtheenth Tale", "For One More Day" and "You've Got to Read This Book" on Barnes and Noble's gift guide stuff. All of them sounded good to me. "Marley and Me" is about a dysfunctional family and their dog that holds them together. "For One More Day" is the latest from Mitch Album and has gotten great reviews. "The Thirteenth Tale" is about a bookstore owner who is charged with writing the 13th story in a series of stories where there was supposed to be 13, but only 12 were printed. And "You've Got to Read This Book" is a collection of anecdotes telling of how various books have shaped celebrities' lives. They aren't like Britney Spears though, Kenny Loggins is in there. All of these sounded good to me and I know peoples' lives are hectic, but I just wanted to throw some titles out there that sounded good to me. And if anyone has read one of these already if you could tell me whether it was good or not. I plan on reading all of them with or without the book club. Thanx and hope this helps you guys plan the next book.

Someone posts about it, then everyone can start suggesting? And a bit later one of the wonderful guild mods can make a proper one? Think we could?

Works for me, do you have any suggestions on books, like any you wanted to read? I'm working on one right now, but it's not a real commitment or anything.

Hey guys. I've had a lot of IRL stuff to deal with lately, and now i'm working full time. But things are calming down now so I should be back to being active here again (yay!) Since we're so late into November already I think we should go right into suggestions for December's Book. Primrose777's idea was pretty appropriate what with christmas just around the corner. So christmas themed it is. whee

Is there a specific Christmas book you had in mind or would you like suggestions? I don't really have one off the top of my head right now, but I can look if you want.
