Hello and welcome!

Channeling is basically speaking to the souls of the dead, and/or the spirits of nature. Channeling can be done using Ouija or pendulums, which are quite easy ways for beginners to start out, though I must warn, without proper trianing and protection Ouija can be pretty dangerous.

As far as direct channeling, which is channeling without the use of anything but the mediums mind, that can be difficult for some to learn, yet easy for others. With proper understanding of what you're doing it can be extremely effective, and for some a good way to start off.

First, learn to meditate and focus your mind. This may take a while to learn, but before you move on to further matters you MUST get this basic concept down pat, seeing as how so much of chanellling relies on it. Take as much time as you need, this isn't somthing learned in a day, but learned over an extended period of weeks, months, maybe even a year. I had learned to meditate far before I had gotten involved in channeling.

once that is down, one point, whilst meditating, focus all of your energy, all of your heart and soul, into calling upon your 'spirit guide'. Remember, during this time let no negative energies or thoughts enter you, and wait as yuou silently, yet with all your soul, open yourself and cast out your message to the universe. Envision a golden light flowing from you, protecting you, as to notr allow any negative energies to yoyu. Eventually you should feel a presence, kind and loving, of great good, come to you. When they come you'll just know. This is likely your spirit guide. If you feel any negative presences, then that is not your spirit guide, stop channeling immediately!

Repeat this exercise several times, and you will improve at doing this. The first several times you channel you may feel extremely tiered after it, yet this is normal. As you channel more it will take less effort to channel (I can now channel near effortlessly), and you will get to know your spirit guide better. They may eventually begin to speak to you, a warm kind message. From there they will likely guide you in your pursuit of mediumship.You may gain more spirit guides along the way, yet that takes time. I had only one for my first two and a half years, and have had only two guides for the past year and a half. More guides will come to youas you learn more, not only about channeling, but about yourself.

As for me, one of my first channeling expierences was a total disaster. It was late one night, and as usual I was watching the colorful hazes and statics dance across my room. I had just recently begun to study the matters of mediumship, as I had realized that seeing these forms, and oftentimes seeing people whiom no one else could see, was abnormal and either indicated insanity or a gift (or a bit of both). I had decided to set my mind to communing with one of these spirits, and as it turns outy I came across a not-so-gentle spirit of a long dead plesisaur, and it scared the hell outta me, so I mentally cried out for protection, and thats how I met Emma(one of my guides). However, since I have taught all my pupils what I have written above, none of my pupils have encountered any negative expierences as of yet. I was just young and stupid when I first tried to channel.

I've been channeling for about three years now.

One time when I was meditating on The Fool Card, I got in contact with the energies behind the card, and let me tell you what a ride! The Fool like to talk in rhyme and riddles and none of it seems to make any sense at first, but then when you think about it - it does!

Thing about the Fool though was that he had a lot of wisdom, but he wasn't goign to tell you about it for free. You had to work out what he was saying in a round about way. AND he wouldn't shut up.

He kept going and going and going... LOL.

i agree with the whole "clearing ur mind" bit being kind of hard, but its preatty simple for others. if you have ever just had one of those moments where ur mind completely shuts off and u think of nothing, then u know what it feels like.
on another topic. does anyone know of a way to get back into channelling? i havent done it in about 4 months,an my mind cant seem at get re accustomed to the whole concept. I dont want to go through all the exersises i did in the beggining, and can someone gve me a bit of advice? and yes, i am mad at myself now for stopping in the first place.

eek Oh my gosh, I would have been terrified! That's why I'm sort of scared to start getting into mediumship... sweatdrop And I thought mediumship was for seeing the dead, and that channeling was for channeling energies into or out of yourself from the earth and that spirit guides were animals?? Ah!!! Confused!! gonk

Your spirit guides will not leave you in this life, no matter what the circumstances.

And it's quite understandable why you havn't been able to squeeze attemoting to channel into your schedule, you're balancing school, a job, and a relationship, and of course you need time to rest and relax too! 3nodding

o.o;; i contacted Tara... I dunno, but everyting was all White, and there she was... long curly Blond hair, a long blue dress, blue eyes, beautiful smile... she took my hand and spoke to me... She only said one thing, she said "She loves you..."
i dunno, its just... I feel so much better now. I now know she's there, i can sorta sense it, i always have, but now i know what it is, and not my imagination... this is all very new to me, but its progressing......

To help correct some misunderstanding on what channeling is.

In my own expreience:
I have a friend who is a deep trance channel and has been channeling primarily his own spirit guide Eyes of the Sparrow. I have been involed with and know the spirit Eyes of the Sparrow very well. I was part of the Sioux tribe that Eyes of the Sparrow walked into physical as shaman durning that time.

In this life I came arross and Mark at a psyhic fair and started attending weekly channeling sessions with Eyes of the Sparrow channeling though Mark Jennings Reese. His website is here:

From what I have been taught there are diffrent types of channeling. Not all channeling is from deceased people. There is lite trance channeling and deep trace channeling.

The diffrence between the two is in lite trance channeling the meduim is half way out of the body and in deep trace channeling the meduim is off still present and off someplace else in spirit while the enity is channeling through them.

People can channel beings that have never been physical and have been always in spirit.
In addition they can also channel beings that have only walked in for other people to take over that physical beings lifetime as the previous occupant needed to leave the physical plane.

It is true that the information/wisdom/universal tools, which are spoken of, have been

disseminated through a deep trance channel, a physical human man who had no

training, preparation or plan to be a deep trance channel.



Everyone channels information/energy...one cannot exist without channeling/directing

energy/thought. The human brain channels information through the body, it is critical

to human existence. A human being channels his or her own spirit. Ones spirit is

composed of many layers of experience, the human spirit exists for the higher levels

of ones own spirit has directed thought into a physical experience.



On and in rare instances one may channel information/thought from a source outside

their own spirit, most however channel information/thought through their own spirit.

Which leads us to a place of understanding that most of the channeled information

identifying itself as spiritual/inspirational/from the Masters or God above is interpreted

through the human spirit and thus lends itself to misinterpretation, manipulation. While

this information may be helpful to some to dismantle/change ones beliefs, ultimately it

is a stepping-stone to the reality and truth that each is responsible, capable and just as significant as all others. There is no one more powerful than yourself. There is no hierarchy,

no one outside of yourself controlling, manipulating your existence, or that will judge you

and your experiences. Humanity has mastered judgment and has reinforced it by creating

belief structures based in hierarchy with singular entities and gods to control and instill

fear. Fear is a negative, it builds walls and separates humanity from their truest desire.

To live, to express, and experience LOVE!

What is Trance Communication?

Trance mediumship or channeling, like so many other forms of spirit communication, is very much misunderstood. In recent years, a number of mediums have called themselves "trance" channels, when, in fact, they were not working in a genuine trance condition. This has been a source of great confusion for many people.

When spirit links with a medium, the spirit communicator exerts various degrees of control, or overshadows the consciousness of the medium to a greater or lesser degree. This varies, depending upon the intent and conditions of communication, as well as the ability of the medium to lend himself or herself to be overshadowed or controlled.

Trance is considered the strongest degree of control. Yet, even here, there are various degrees of trance control: from light trance to very deep trance. Deep trance is used primarily in physical mediumship.

Furthermore, because in the trance condition the spirit communicator is speaking directly through the consciousness of the medium -- rather than the medium relating what is being mentally given to him or her -- the voice pattern, inflection, and general manner of speech differ from that normally exhibited by the medium.

Finally, much research has been conducted around the language patterns of dialogue exhibited during trance communication. There is very often a broken speech pattern, a reversal of sentence structure, and an overall change in grammar usage. This is very evident in the Cayce readings, the Seth material, in Eileen Garrett's trance communications, and in our own Rev. Stephen Fulton's trance communications.

One final point needs to be mentioned: that of control. What does it mean to be controlled by spirit? First of all, it does NOT mean that the medium is, in any way, possessed by a spirit personality. Possession -- or attachment (apparently a new and, in my opinion, disturbing buzz word) -- is extremely rare. Nor does it mean that the medium leaves his or her body and the spirit enters therein.

Mediumistic control means a sharing of mental and physical energies between the medium and spirit communicator or operator. Control signifies a telepathic rapport between the two. How strongly en rapport they are determines the degree of control. Control can range from inspired thought, to conscious control, to light trance, to deep trance, to very deep trance. It all depends upon the work at hand and the mental and physical energies available to the spirit communicator or operator.
