Have anyone of you ever had that moment...when your walking and your eyes lock on to someone elses.. and you too just stare at each other for what seems like for ever. That sense recognition over comming your mind, intill you both break connection.. and continue on to your destination?
If so, how were your experiences like?

Micheal Fitch (Wow I remember his name): I've known him from Preschool to eigth grade. One time in third grade P.E., when we were sitting in our two rows after attendance, I glanced over and I couldn't look away or anything until he tilted head down and his glasses slipped alittle in one of those confused faces.
Taylor Kimbell: I've only known him for a week or two, i don't have any classes with him, but he's in the orchestra above me. At our concert last week, I had his friend punch my time card for me. So Taylor and I were standing in the same corner where no one else was, and I was putting my shirt on over my dress and putting my shoes back on and stuff like that, then I looked up at him (I like him anyways, so I try'd to avoid eye contact) and he was looking at me so I looked at him. In my mind it felt like a whole three minutes of us just looking at eachother, but I know that I just looked up, grabbed my jacket, and walked over to where my friend was sitting.
There's some others, but their not really necessary.

I've had those with a few people, strangers mostly. Moments like that with those Im close to usually involve more proximity than gaze.
When I see someone and our eyes lock, There seems like a vast ocean or pit with no bridge across between us.

Normally when I make long eye contact with people it is when we're both doing a death glare stare down. It normally ends with laughter, or them looking away from me as a give a sadistic smile. But there are other times when my teacher and I lock eyes and he's trying to figure out what is going on inside my mind. He's pretty good at figuring out what's up with me.

My family is so oblivious. Unless we're talking about my half brothers, they normally see a lot that's going on with me.

O.o... hmmm *thinks* i don't think such a thing happened to me, ever. i take special care in not looking people in the eye unless they are adressing me or their presence is extremely annoying. the former spares me from possible social conflict and the latter results in either the annoying-thing leaving my sight or an entertaining catfight. win-win mrgreen

I've had experience like that... sort of. I've known a girl for fairly a while, and suddenly, one day I looked in her eyes and noticed... She had the prettiest doe eyes.

This is going to sound cheesy.
When I was sixteen I was sitting in Mark's house watching Tv while he and my friend were in the back room doing god knows what. Someone walked out from the hallway into the room and I turned to see who it was... I swear it was like time stopped. He looked straight into my eyes and stopped dead in his tracks. I had never seen him before but I knew him some how. To make a long story short, we're now married (for eight years) and have two sons. My aunt says that we knew eachother in a past life... although our relationship back then wasn't as amicable as it is now.

I've had several instances like that. Most of them were catching older perverted men looking at me, but there were some instances with others where there was truly a connection, and I walked away saying to myself, "I hope we meet again."

welllllll................ im kinda freaked out by staring at eyes. i always get the feeling that someone can see who you are by looking into your eyes. im not to good at handling the staring contets either... once a guy was flirtin(or just bein weird but i took it that way) w/me and we had a staring contest and i kept on lookin away or giggling all nervous like. although i like to give random people who when they see me brooding out in public a good constant stare until they get all nervous and walk away(when im in a emo/gothy mood or am just really angry 'bout something). i live by submission to the beleif that if you lock eyes with someone they see your soul for a short time as you see theirs. yes i know its stupid evil i dont need to be patronized thank you mrgreen
