My section calls me the girl with the 3rd lung. Because I'm the loudest clarinet player there is. I'm loud when I have to be and soft when I have to be. The others you just can't hear them period because they ALWAYS play softly.

I am G2 because of a kid in orchestra. My friends got so into it that they said I should legally change my name to G2. Then the trombone section leader changes my name to H3 because it is the letter after H and the munber after 2.

My friend has been known as Jazzy Yazzy for about two years. Myself, I've been called Loser, Ugly, Stupid, Retard, Fat, and Dork. Note, these were all given to me by my band director. Yeah. She's one of those sorta tough love characters.

Ever heard of jazz names? You take a disease or condition, and a fruit. We all got T-shirts with our jazz names on them for jazz band last year. My name was Dyslexic Mango. cool

I've got hundreds of nicknames, because of my size.
The two major ones are: 1. Kaiser Farukhi (I am section leader and I control the trumpets in my section) 2. Family of four. (It's a long story involving my own stupidity and a Taco Bell. If you want to here it, then PM me and I might be willing to tell it to you.) mrgreen

I was the "Blue Berry Girl" in sixth grade because our band was doing Willy Wonka. I became Cutie that same year given to me by Dustin, then my 8th grade year after AIA Finals, Dustin started calling me Little Nancy... I'm "The Oboe" because I'm always playing my oboe. My BD started calling me "Pencil" because I always had a pencil handy... I can't think of any others... But for other people...
Moose, Master P, Streeter, Bambi (gaurd person), and one will answer to Dork because he's always wear a DORK shirt or a DORK hat.

It started off on our trip to New York for festival. A flute girl said I reminded her of her grampa. Then, because I had failed a year. Yes, I admit it. I didn't do my homework. and had to repeat and be stuck for a 5th year, I became known as the band grandpa. As far as I'm concerned, if you want to call me that too, feel free.
