The copper brown Kaa'Kingojo of the Mpinzani pack was now returning home from his ol' family den he left behind for his 'son' Yakuti. His mate requested that he go out to meet Raka, her brother, and Delu, her sister, however Jamaa had no time being the only guard of the pack he had to return to his duties. At least the journey was not fruitless. He and Yaku were able to talk for a good while even if "The Talk" was a failure, and the hyena was able to meet his son, Ryega. But all good times must come to an end.
The sun was setting down on the Pride Lands now as the two males made their way back home to their family. Jamaa smiled to himself, his golden eyes falling back to his son.
"You holding up, Ryega?"
He asked, taking small close steps to stay in pace with his son, actually he was ahead of his son with even these steps.

"I am....doing good."
He replied taking careful steps, his head down, and his ears up. It was hard to see where he was going, where his paws where, and what was in front of him. He was blind after all. One by one, he took small cautious steps behind his father. If it weren't for his father's swinging tail, he could not hear it, if it was not for his father's strong male, earthy scent, he would have not been able to follow. If it weren't for his dad, he would have already gotten lost. Even though he needed his father, he still disliked him some, then again he disliked many.
His paws rested on teh ground a bit and felt the vibrations of his father,
"H-hey, wait up!"

Mugen was leaping around somewhat, jumping back and forth from one spot to the next. ail high and wagging, from afar it would seem like he was trying to take flight, but indeed he was. He was caught in a daydream, everything looked different, he was within teh clouds, wings outstretched form his back. Life was grand, he wished Eira could see what he saw someday.
Something was coming.
Mugen stopped, his purple hues looking into the distance, something brown and something red were on the clouds...wait no, they were on the ground. The clouds and wings faded, darn, he wished to dream a bit longer. But there were others out here! How nice it would be to make a friend!
He began padding towards the two figures, one much bigger then the other, were they family? Seemed like it, teh red one had spots like the older one, "Hello..." his tail was wagging, so nice to see other friendly faces. Though Mugen wasn't quite sure where he was.

Ryega jerked around, his ears perked and his eyes wide. Who was there? Where!? Damn it, he can't see anything. Was it a danger? Was it a friendly face? No, its voice was unfamiliar to his ears. Who was it?
Carefully, Ryega scurred behind his father's large forlegs, hiding behind them. His ears stilled perked, but his head remained low, hanging.
"D-dad...?"
His voice quivering and scared. His tail tucked slightly.
Jamaa paused and watched his son move to him, sheltering himself under the bulky male, at least there was one use for it. The copper brown male sat down and pulled his son closer to him, a smile on his maw. His golden gaze turned up to the other male, strange markings....lately he has only seen those with markings similar to his or just a solid coat, but this male....was different.
"Hello, there, stranger."
He greeted, dipping his head in respect.
"My name is Jamaa, the Kaa'Kingojo of the Mpinzani Pack. And this is my son, Ryega. And you are?"

Mugen tilted his head, watching the younger one scurry between teh copper males forearms, was he that scary? He felt a little depressed in his heart, or perhas the child did not like his wings? He didn't want him to be scared, Mugen wanted to be friends.
Oh so they were related, Father and son, such a nice thing, Mugen bowed his head to Jamaa as well and sat down, a few feet from him though, to give Ryega some space. "Hello, its nice to meet you Jamaa, and Ryega," Mugen said looking down at Ryega and smiling. Such an interesting color on the child! So vibrant!
"The Mpinzani pack? Is that where I am close to? Forgive me, I don't know these lands well, been traveling with a friend, went out on my own today..." he wanted to fly today, and he did, which made Mugen happy. "It's nice to meet others, its been so long since I've spoken to anyone besides Eira, she's who I'm traveling with," he smiled, tail still wagging. Making friends seemd nice...why hadn't he tried before?

Ryega remained silent under his father, he just sat still and continued to listen to the two talk, familiarizing the other male's voice, Mugen's voice.
"It is nice to meet you as well."
Jamaa replied, rubbing his son's head under his paw. He smiled. His son was so fragile and so vulnverable at this stage of life. As long as Jamaa was around, he was safe, safer than anyone else.
"My son...is easily frightened. He can only hear, smell, taste, and touch. It's frightening if you think of it. Unable to know what is out there, no clear image in one's mind...and yet he still strives to live with him.
But yes, we are close to the Mpinzani pack lands. It's only a few moments away from here, beyond the mountains. That is where my family is, and that is where I am going. Are you going there yourself?"
He asked. His ears swiveled when he mentioned Eira. Where has he heard that name before? He knew he heard it before he was sure of it. But where?

Mugen lowered his violet gaze upon the child, so sad, to not see exactly was out there. But to make images of his own, represent things in his own way of imagination must be fun. Mugen knew of those sorts of things, he did them constantly, even though he could see the real world.
Honestly, Mugen liked his world much better then real life sometimes. In his world, he could fly.
"I apologize then, Ryega, do forgive me if I frightened you before," he smiled at Ryega, hoping that somehow the child would know he was a friend, not a foe. He raised his eyes to Jamaa's now, listening to teh words of the Mpinzani pack.
"Honeslty and truthfully Jamaa I do not know, Eira and I, we're bet friends, been wandering, we don't have a set course as of now, is it nice there?" Mugen someday wanted a home, wanted to start a family of his own. But he was still a pup at heart, he couldn't escape that fact.

Ryega simply nodded and remained under his father. He knew Mugen was a friend, but he still felt uncomfortable. At least he knew his father would not let any harm befall him.
Every image he saw in his head were just blurrs of those he knew. THeir voice distorted and their moments strange. He had no clear picture of anyone he knew, no one at all. There was one blur that was much more solid than anyone else, that was his brother.
Jamaa smiled, at least the red pup showed a sign of approval. He had to make sure he had manners, or at least some respect to others around him, he was his son and he was gonna raise him a good life, one that Jamaa never got to have when he was young.
"I see, vagrants then? Well, I am sure you will find a place to go. Mpinzani is a nice isolated place. Only one way in and that is through the mountain pass. Inside is a large jungle where the pups and the pack could venture around. It's a nice place if you want to raise a family safely."

"It sounds quite nice, perhaps I will bring Eira that way sometime, she would probably like it," Mugen always tried to have Eira be happy. Tried to be good around here and not talk about 'his wings' and the 'flying' he believed he could do. But to visit a friend in another place would be nice, see new places, meet new wild dogs, make new friends.
It all sounded thrilling.
Mugen still looked at Ryega, wished he could show Ryega the wing markings on his back, perhaps that would cheer the child up, but he seemed so close to his father, perhaps that would not be the best thing afterall. Then Mugen thought of something, perhaps Jamaa knew where Eira would have gone, "Jamaa, do you know of any areas around here with water out here? I'm not sure which way Eira went, so she might've gone to get a drink but I'm not sure which way to go..."

Jamaa nodded to the other male,
"Yes, the pack lands is a wonderful place. I am the one who makes sure it is safe for the pack and the pups. I would not mind seeing you again there, I could introduce you to the rest of my family."
He replied, it would be nice to have some more familiar faces around. The pack was relatively small for a wild dog pack, most of the pack consisted of Temari's family and Kengee's family. So the pack would need some more diversity. He smiled and shrugged. No matter, a friend is a friend, and Mugen was one.
"Well, the only two I know of is the one close to my den and the one in the pack lands. The one in the pack lands would be closer, but do you think she would head there?"
He asked, curious. Maybe she had, there was always that possibility.
"But if you go back a little ways, you would come to an underground den, from there you will find a dirt path with a log on it, that would lead to the watering hole. I would check there."

Mugen's tail was still wagging, he was so glad he had run into Jamaa and his son and not another wild dog that might have been hostile towards him. Mugen knew all too well that in the rogue lands there could be dangerous lions or wild dogs and more when you're all alone.
Mugen tried to make a map in his head, he doubted Eira might go into someone else's packlands for water or a place to rest, he didn't think she would trust them very well. But who knows. But perhaps that place Jamaa said that was back a little ways, yes, that might be a good spot to look.
"I will check there then, the place by the log," Mugen stood up and stretched his legs, tail wagging happily, "Thank you so much Jamma for your help, it was also nice meeting you too Ryega," Mugen said smiling down at the child. Perhaps he and Jamaa nad Ryega would play someday, or meet again, that would be nice too.
"I must go see if I can find her, I hope to see you again," with that Mugen smiled and began in the direction of the place Jamaa had said, hopefully he could make it there soon. He wanted to tell Eira he had made a new friend.

Ryega nodded his head.
"Bye...Mugen..."
He spoke before getting up and got a head start to home, hoping it was the correct direction. Ryega's tone then was not one of sorrow or shyness, it was just a friendly one rather.
Jamaa watched his son start off, he wasn't going to get far, that was for sure. He turned back to the other male and nodded.
"That would be the best idea, my friend. Many gather there so you are sure to find her nearby, hopefully. And I am sure Ryega would say the same."
Jamaa eyed his back with a smile, wings, strange. He shook his head and got to his feet, it was about time he got back to the pack, slacking on his duties again. The male padded to the pup's side, his tail held up and smiling.
"Good-bye, Mugen, maybe we should "fly" some time."
He called back. What he meant was run.
