good news, it's not me this time! it's a current friend who I've mentioned in this guild before in another subforum, but who shall still remain nameless.
basically, her period started the 28th and she had sex today, the19th. basically, her boyfriend was dumb enough to do it unprotected and "accidentally" came while the tip was inside.
i told her what i was once told by nikolita, that if you ain't ready, you shouldn't do it, but she still insisted i post this. so what do you think? good chances? bad?
also, do you think i should stop doing this, i'm noticing this is like the third of these I've done. maybe i should charge.... or something.
EDIT: if counting from the end of the period, that would be about day...14 in a i guess, 21-29day cycle? i have no clue.

I'd advise talking to a doctor, since I don't know when she'd take the pregnancy test to find out whether or not she's pregnant.

i just noticed something. she counted from the day her perios STARTED, not ended. isn'it supposed to be from the end date?and i also read somewhere in here that the pregnancy rate even when TTC is like 30%? wow. i never knew. so if it all didn't go in, then maybe the chances would be lower than 30. well, that's what i told her to calm her down, but i really do need at least an educated guess.
wait, why am i acting like this is a big deal for me?

No, you count from the first day of your period. She probably also needs to worry about potential STDs, she needs to see her doctor anyways, ask THEM the questions and get some education, can't hurt. This statement bugged me: Quote: her boyfriend was dumb enough to do it unprotected and "accidentally" came while the tip was inside. She is just as dumb for letting him anywhere near her without protection or not getting contraception for herself. Both parties are equally dumb and responsible for sex choices.

If he is dumb, then she is equally dumb at least. Also, you don't "accidentally" have an orgasm during sex. You pretty much know that it is coming at some point. "He planned on pulling out" is no excuse because pre-ejaculate can cause pregnancy too, so pulling out does not really work. (Edit: I am not saying that you said that, I am just saying I can't imagine how someone could "accidentally" ejaculate inside a v****a unless they planned on pulling out). And luna is right, you count from the first day. So if it had been about 14 days since the beginning of her last period, she was pretty much at peak fertility when she had sex. I am trying very hard not to preach.....If she is old enough to have sex, she is old enough to know where babies come from and to get birth control. Maybe she should look into the Depo shot if she has issues with using birth control regularly. You only have to get the Depo shot once every three months.

If she wanted him to use protection and he forced himself inside without it, that would have been rape. You are right, the symptoms of an oncoming period are the same as signs for early pregnancy.

Ugh you know what, she's an idiot.
I'm sorry, but if she refuses to go to a doctor, she has no business having sex. I can understand the whole not wanting to tell your parents,b ut the VERY least she should get to the doctor. Of course, too late now, they've all ready been stupid. It depends if they're going to have some semblance of intelligence and maturity and do the responsible thing. There's planned parenthood clinics and a thing called "doctor/patient confidentiality." Besides, what does she plan to do if she's pregnant? Put the baby in a dumpster? Try to abort it herself?
I hate to be blunt, but it's the cold hard truth. She thought she was "mature" and "adult" enough to handle the responsibility of sex, well, here's the consquences.
We're not psychic, we can't see into her body or her uterus. Obviously ti doesn't matter WHAT we say because when told she NEEDS TO GO TO A DOCTOR, she's going to not listen anyways. I just hope she doesn't continue to do something stupid, like risk her health (which she's all ready doing).
Uh, if she wanted him to use protection, like stated, she shouldn't have let him near her without a condom. Unless he forced himself, but it doesn't sound like it judging by the lack on intelligence in this situation.

Her not wanting her parents to know has nothing to do with anything because Family Planning and Planned Parenthood do not tell your parents, they do not make them come with you, and they do not make them sign anything. They have a lot of teens who go there for that reason. So she could go to a doctor without their knowing and even if she does not have any money. She'd just being stupid, which does not sound like anything new for her. She needs to stop having sex until she takes a middle school level health class at least because she sounds clueless. Edit: I should point out that there is a big difference between not knowing a lot about sex, birth control, or pregnancy and just being stupid about it. It does not sound like she is even making a decent attempt.

eek wow. and although i don't want to be as... well, blunt about it with her, i do agree.
it was incredibly foolish of her to do that, and she should really tell a doctor or something.
i mean honestly. no offense to anyone here, but who'd be more reliable, a doctor or some strangers on the internet?
i'll break it to her gently that she's being foolish, then let you know how it goes.
and as for Si's and My situation (almost a year back), we were completely ready for whatever happens. She'd have the baby, and i promised i wouldn't run off. and i never break promises to people i care about.
which makes me realize: broken condoms are scaaaaaaary...... gonk

which is why its a really good idea for BOTH parties to use birth control. Nothing is perfect trust me I know. We only used the pill and now we have 4 year old. I have been prefect with my BC since that and havent had any problems. My husband and I are quite ready to except the consequences should somthing happen. Actually it really doesnt matter anymore we are planning on starting to try in febuary. At the planned parenthood places they will give you condoms and talk about birth control and explain the risks and percentages. Even if she isnt she should go there and get educated.
