Every wanted to create your own tokusatsu character or even storyline? Share some with us! If you've made them for roleplays, written stories, art or just for daydreaming. They could be a new sentai team or new type of toku completely. I let my mind wander towards this kinda thing all the time but I'm curious at the ideas you all have ever had.

I have thought on this topic as well and have designed a couple. Will see about posting some of my ideas a bit later. for now I need sleep.

Cool I'm glad that I'm not alone on this. biggrin
Ok I'll kick things off with one of my Kamen Riders. I've used him in roleplaying chatrooms.
His name's Kamen Rider Hero though civilianwise he's 12 year old Kojiro Myamoto. Kojiro was always a big fan of manga, expecially his prized possesions(a trunk full of Kamen Rider manga he enherited from his late father).
The thing is Kojiro has an uncle that's an officer of a police task force named Kojiro Miamoto. Miamoto was busting up & shutting down the badguy's factories left & right so they saw him as potentially useful. When the badguy's went after Miamoto he was visting his cousin & nephew's the Myamoto's. Well the goons wasn't sure if it was Myamoto or Miamoto so they ended up kidnapping the wrong one. By the time any of the top officials from the villian's side knew of the mistake, the kid was now a cyborg. With the help of the scientists that were forced to turn him into a cyborg, Kojiro was able to escape.
Ok onto Hero himself. Hero's powers are from what's called Mach Power(mach is how speed is the speeds after a jet breaks the sound barrier). Hero is able to attack with the force of breaking the barrier but at more normal speeds for better control. Although he's never had any formal training, Kojiro fights expertly due to his years of comic book reading.
His main 3 finishers are Rider Mach Punch, Rider Mach Kick & Rider Mach Drop. He also has something over a super form & possibly an evolved form though I've never had really bothered to go into it(never had a RP where he was forced to unlock them)
His ride's the GL(Gravity Law) Breaker. It fires bullet shapped shots of energy. Also as its name suggests, it can drive up walls & on ceilings. It could also transform & attach to Hero as an armored mode of sorts.
Unfortunatly I haven't done too much detail on his enemy group as of yet. Just that one generay wear's an armored suit & tie in his human form.

Episode 4 is on the way? Kickass. Was working on Hero but I think I may delete it & start over...in the summer.

If I could draw; I'd probably try to create my own Rider or something... but as I can't, I've been toying with the idea of adapting my own version of Faiz or Blade.
I mean like, using the suits... but changing the characters, personalities and perhaps even the order of enemies. I've attempted to write bits here and there... but I've never really been able to settle in with something.

I hear ya dude. I gave up drawing many moons ago & I'm kinda on the lazy side when it comes to writing stories. That's one reason I liked RPing my guys, easy to just wing it storywise.
Wrote this before but got a stupid error & it vanished. stressed Ah well *tries again but rushes this time*
Another Kamen Rider idea I had for a mini-series or movie would be something I call Rider Games. It would be like those live shows at cons but mixed with gladiators & pro wrestling.
The performers would be dressed as the previous Kamen Riders & battle each other infront of a live crowd & on TV every week using special attribute enchancing suits for putting on a better show. Eventually the show's producer or something would mess around with genetic mutation or start turning people into real monsters for the Rider Games. You better believe the hero bug will bite some of those actors.

Think I mentioned this one to Itami before & he liked it. It's for yet another Kamen Rider idea. Yeah I do have other ideas aside from Kamen Riders but I haven't felt like babbling about any of them yet. =P
Ok this one would revolve around 3 high school(or college) students & would sorta have a Wizard of Oz theme(I dunno why or how I came up with this...all I know is that the idea hit my while using the urinal in the mens' room at my college one day).
One guy would be a star defensive lineman on his football team with a strong appearance but inside he's a nice & caring person:Kamen Rider Steel(would use a really big battle axe)
The next would be a shy & quiet guy that tends to avoid crowds & whatnot. He might seem like a wimp but would stand up to any bully that tried to pick on him: Kamen Rider Leo(his weapon of choice would be the fighting claw(s). Might also have a Lion's Roar attack)
Last would be a thin-built guy with generally low/average grades but is good with computers & is a champion chess player(only reason he even studies at all is to avoid being cut from the chess team). Outside the classroom he's considered a genius in other aspects in life. Haven't come up with a cool sounding name for him yet but right now his weaponry would be shooting needles & use of a robotic crow.
For some reason I pictured this would be a good American-based rider series.

The characters would probably work pretty well in a MMPR Season 1 kind of way. Somehow get their paths to cross... and expand from there or something.
Seriously though, for an American Rider series; that wouldn't be half bad.

Thanks dude. Of course if I had any say in such a series the action would be Japanese toku style. I wouldn't be afraid to air shots of teenagers getting beaten up & bleeding from their mouths.

ive made a few things up in my head, power rangers stuff... but only basic stuff like powers and wepons and Zords 3nodding
i would make them draw power from elements the first 4 rangers would have fire, air, water, and earth then the fith would come in a little bit into the story he would get ether (thats wiccan talk for spirit XD)

But it was more like a Dairanger or Gaoranger theme. While they had an element at their commend their power came from sacred beast gods.

I've been working on a comic forever. Not working on it actually, more like character sketches and lots of dreaming up characters and storylines. I don't have much to show for my work, other than a few sketches. Anyway, one of my characters is sorta Toku style. His name is Necromon. His costume looks kinda like a Kamen Rider crossed with Batman. He's a surgeon whose wife was murdered. Now he's all dark and vengeful. He's got her corpse preserved in some sort of tank of his own devising, and he's determined to reserect her. To do so, he studies necromancy. Using his knowlege of medical science combined with his necro magic he seeks a "cure" for death. His "mecha" is made of corpses and controlled by his necro magic.

oddly a what would you do question thread got me thinking about it.
A special secret branch of the World Government Called Elite is fighting aliens invading form another dimension. Five special people are chosen from a Vr Battle game and given special Crystals and morphers and are turned into Crystal sentai digirangers. Thats about as far as I got. I got the idea to maybe borrowing my villians from another failed rpg and make them like major villian leaders seeking to release their master who was imprisoned ages ago .

Damn that's dark, Tanuki. Does the mecha get stronger after adding new corpses to it?
Cirakite- Your digiranger plot sounds alot like the Megaranger story. The heroes had the top scores in a video game so they were chosen to save the world. If only life worked that way...
