Hm... Does this break any rules? Meh...
Well, Aeris was a real inspiration for future characters, as were Tifa and Yuffie.
Did you know that Mutsumi Otohime from Love Hina was mostly based on Aeris Gainsborough? Especially in the final volume, she is dressed up as Aeris! I didn't notice it the first time, but if you reread it, you can see it! I swear to god!

So now i see why Mutsumi really reminded me of Aerith! They even have the same hair! And yep, Mimi is like a small version of Aerith. Only not as cool, obviously.

I saw it ever since I first started watching Digimon ^_^ I even think they act a bit the same
Hilarious tidbit: In issue 12( I believe) of Sorcerer Hunters a crowd of girls is running. One of them is Aeris, in a bikini xD
