I see... Edging near the water, Langdon deftly sniffed at it, and dipped a claw into it's depths to see what it felt like. Snorting at it, he looked back at the dark pidgey. Doesn't it make it hard to fly, then?

Cauchy fluffed her wings some, they were still drying. At first, but I eventually dry out. She stiffled a small laugh at Langond's behavior toward the water, it made sence he wouldn't like the water all that much.
((thank you for keeping this going so well, I'm wraking my brains to think of "conversational" things...))

((*no clue how long it'll hold out*))
Licking at stinging skin, Langdon retreated once more to a sitting position. Wagging his tail, while attempting not to set anything on fire, he wondered where his trainer went off to. Are you a wild pidgey or...? He left the sentence hanging, not wanting to offend the pokemon.

((Like that! I completely had no clue how to get that question into the open. *sigh*))
Cauchy had actually started preening her front feathers and had a glossy black one in her beak. Hm? Fluffing those feathers into place she answered, No, I have a trainer. She's... somewhere... Cauchy wondered how long Poet planned on being gone actually, she hadn't said for the first time. Maybe this was new trust? How about yourself? she asked.

Likewise, I have one...I just don't know where she wandered off to. Truthfully, he was rather surprised to find another trained pokemon roaming freely. There aren't many trained pokemon in this place, I've noticed. More out of a force of habit, he glanced around nervously at the surrounding foilage.

Oh... Suddenly Cauchy wondered if she should be worried as well. She was after all still a smidge wet and could probably fly just not well. So much for the things that relax... Do you think there's any real danger?

I havn't heard anything unusual lately. So...no? sweatdrop If there were other pokemon around, they were either asleep or waiting. ... Then again, perhaps it was best not to think about such things...

Cauchy relaxed a bit, realizing that Langdon probably had more experience in such things as wild pokemon.
But then a sound was heard, something larger than either pokemon moved through the trees, coming closer until... Poet appeared! "Oi, Cauchy, making friends I hope." She was older than your average Trainer, 22 years old. She knealt down on the opposide side of the small pond to give the pokemon some space, she wasn't really here to bother Cauchy yet, just to relax after a hard day. She moved from kneeling to laying on her back and gazing at the sky, her hand closest to the water skimming the top of it.

((XD))
Startled into silence, Langdon stared at the sudden appearance of the human. Judging by how calm Cauchy had become, he guessed that the human was her missing trainer. Attempting to appear non-threatening, he waved at the human meekly.

Her head turned to the side she spotted the Charmeleon's small wave and gave a slight wiggle of the fingers back, truly wishing not to intrude much but thinking to herself what a strange coloration the Charmeleon had. It seemed many of the Citrus Island pokemon came in alternate hues.
Noting Langdon's odd responce to Poet's presence Cauchy tried to put the pokemon at ease. Yes, that's Poet. I guess she's tired, I don't really know what she does when she's not with me. Cauchy gives the bird-equivalent of a shrug.

I think my trainer just sleeps all day, aside from training exercises. Speaking of his trainer, he should go find her before she wandered into any beedrill nests. Are you her only pokemon?
((*may have to go soon* @_@))

((OK, I'll probably leave just after 2k hits))
Yes, for now. She has hopes of getting a few more. THis actually worried Cauchy, she feared being replaced by some pokemon that was flashier or could use strong elemental moves.

I see. He fidgeted, My owner has four other pokemon. It gets rather hectic at times, but you get used to it... He trailed off, nervous that he was beginning to sound as though he was bragging (which he certainly hoped he didn't).

Marginally. Most of them go off and do their own thing. ...Though, there are mornings where I wake up and expect to find myself in the belly of a Seviper. It was a wonder it hadn't happened already, really. Probably the only reason it hadn't was because a) he was too large, or b) said Seviper was too lazy.
I'm fortunate that my owner isn't very fond of water pokemon, else there would be much more fighting and injury.
