Ok, I know a lot of really good poets get writer's block. I don't, but then again I'm not that good. But for the people who do get writers block, this is where people can post a cure, and what works for them.

You never get writer's block? Man, I always get writer's block when I really want to get something down and I have yet to find any cure other than waiting it out.

metocloud You never get writer's block? Man, I always get writer's block when I really want to get something down and I have yet to find any cure other than waiting it out. I wouldn't say I can't get it, it just hasn't happened yet

I get writers block when I am trying to make my stories better! crying I also can't find a muse and I get bored and stop writing sweatdrop

You can sometimes cure writer's black but just writing anything. A friend of mine (what had actually written an entire book) told me that sometimes, you just gotta write. I tried it, totally thinking that it would not work, but it did.
Also, the best time to write, at least for me, is when I am experiencing an intense emotion. That's when I find that the Lord works through me the most, read that as "when I don't recognize writing what I wrote." It's pretty cool when that happens ... and kinda disconcerting.

See, I'd go to just write and come out with something along the lines of, "Can't think of anything to write, which sucks, so I'm here writing a bunch of lousy sentences on this piece of paper trying to somehow come up with this great idea so that I can get back to real writing in the story that I need to get something posted in, only I can't think of anything to post, the whole reason why I'm in this mess, and this really isn't helping me do anything except maybe create the world's longes and most worthless sentence in the world, bested only by the first sentence in Charles Dickens' Tale of Two Cities, not that anyone cares that his entire first paragraph is just one sentence, but referencing something like that makes me feel smart...somewhat." And so would continue the torture for who knows how long. Finally I'd get so sick of writing I'd give up and read a book. Then I'd be reading and go , "Hey, that would work!" and log away the idea until the next day. Trust me, I've done it.
