Welcome to my concept idea for Fa’e, a really great idea and one I’ve been looking to be a part of for a long time now. This is just a place to display my idea and is in no way asking for donations. Accepting them.. Well that’s a different story XD.
All critiques are welcome of course; I do not mind comments so feel free to leave them. Try not to ruin the thread or use it for your own amusement, thank you.

Name: Monkey Sun-Wukong Other Names: Měihóu Wáng: Meaning "Handsome Monkey King" Wùkōng : Meaning "aware of emptiness". The name given to him by his first master, Subodhi.
Bimawen : The title of the keeper of the Heavenly Horses, a punning of pimawen lit. "removing the horses' plague"). A monkey was often put in a stable as people believe its presence can prevent the horses from catching illness. Sun Wukong was given this position by the Jade Emperor after his first intrusion into Heaven. After discovering it was one of the lowest titles in Heaven, he became angry and quit the job. Qitiān Dasheng : Meaning "great sage equal of Heaven". Sun Wukong demanded this title from the Jade Emperor and was eventually granted it. Xingzhe : Meaning "traveller", a common name for a travelling monk in the old days. The name given to him by Sanzang. In addition to the names used in the novel, the Monkey King has other names in various parts of China:
Gou De Tien in Taiwanese Ma Lau Jing in Cantonese : Meaning "Monkey Deity"
Story:
Powers and abilities Legends tell that Wukong was born out of a stone and through learning from his master he was able to master an array of amazing abilities and powers. He knows 72 "earthly methods of transformations", twice that of Zhu Bajie who has 36 "heavenly methods of transformations" (Subodhi had offered him a choice between the 72 earthly transformations and 36 heavenly ones, and Wukong wanted to get the most out of his training), the pig that also accompanies and protects Sanzang, known in the text as Wukong's "shidi", or "junior fellow disciple". These transformations apparently cover every possible form of existence, since many times he transforms into specific people. At times he is shown to transform his hair into objects or even people to serve as decoys, or make copies of himself, for example.
Wukong began as a monkey born of a stone, and was extraordinarily brave and strong among the group of monkeys with which he lived. Having jumped through the waterfall on their home, The Mountain of Flowers and Fruits or Hua Guo Shan, and discovered the Water-Curtain Cave, he was recognized as the "Monkey King" for his feat. When celebrating, he soon realized that he was still a normal monkey and was saddened by the thought of mortality. Determined to find immortal beings and learn their ways, he traveled for a long time, finally finding the Patriarch Subodhi and becoming his disciple. The Patriarch rejected him at first, but Monkey's determination, and eventually his intelligence, impressed him. It was from him that the monkey received the name Sun Wukong (Wukong meaning "aware of emptiness"). Under the Patriarch's teaching and training, he acquires the powers of immortality, shape-changing ability, cloud travel skills including a technique called the "Somersault Cloud", where one can fly one hundred and eight thousand miles† in a single flip (In modern times, the saying of 108000 miles is used to describe something that is ridiculously exaggerated or far-fetched).
The Patriarch, who by the time they parted ways was certain Wukong would get himself into trouble, made him promise never to tell anyone who had been his teacher.
He eventually obtains a handy "as-you-will golden banded cudgel or staff" known as ruyi which he can turn into a needle and keep inside his ear but can brandish and resize it at will to be 20 feet long or the "width of a rice bowl" and subdue demons. The cudgel was originally the "Pillar holding down the sea" which Wukong swindled from the under-sea palace of the East Sea dragon king (who under-estimated Wukong and bet him he couldn't pick it up). It weighs 13850 kilograms, and can multiply, transform, and act intelligently. The Monkey King also forced the Dragon King to give him other magical gifts, including his golden chainmail, phoenix feather cap, and cloud walking boots.
Making trouble in Heaven Hoping that a promotion and a title would make him more manageable, the Jade Emperor invited Sun Wukong to the Heavenly Kingdom. However, this proved to be in vain. After the Jade Emperor excluded him from a royal banquet, in an act of rebellion Sun Wukong ate the Empress's Peaches of Immortality and Lord Laozi's Pills of Indestructibility. He later felt guilty about this, but only slightly so, and continued to be a headache for everybody in Heaven. Finally, the heavenly authorities had no choice but to attempt to subdue him.
He fought and defeated the Army of Heaven's 100,000 soldiers, then went on to defeat the Four Heavenly Kings, Erlang Shen, and Nezha. Eventually, thanks to the heavenly forces' effort and teamwork, including the contributions of many famous deities, Sun Wukong was finally captured. When several more mundane execution attempts failed, Wukong was stuffed into Lord TaiShang's eight-way trigem cauldron to be distilled into an elixir by the cauldron's sacred flames, which were thought to be hot enough to consume him. After cooking for 49 days, however, the cauldron exploded and Sun Wukong jumped out, stronger than ever and possessing the newfound ability to recognize evil in any form through his "Huo Yan Jin Jing", or "Golden Fiery Eyes".
With all their other options exhausted, the Jade Emperor and the authorities of Heaven finally appealed to the Buddha himself, who arrived in an instant from his temple in the West. The Buddha bet Sun Wukong that he could not jump out of his palm. Wukong, knowing that he could cover 108000 miles per leap, smugly agreed. He took a great leap and landed in what seems to be a desolate section of Heaven. Nothing was visible except five pillars, and Wukong surmised that he had reached the ends of Heaven. To prove he'd been there, he wrote "The Great Sage Equal of Heaven was here" on the middle pillar , and marked the space between the first and second with his urine. Afterwards, he leapt back and landed in Buddha's palm. Smiling, Buddha asked him to turn around. Wukong looked back and saw that the "pillar" on which he had written was actually Buddha's finger. Wukong had lost the bet. Immediately, he tried to escape, but Buddha turned over his palm and pinned the Monkey King under a mountain. There he remained imprisoned for five centuries until he offered to serve Sanzang, the Tang Priest, who was destined to make the journey to the West to retrieve the Buddhist scriptures for Tang. The bodhisattva Guanyin helped the priest by giving him a magical headband which he tricked the Monkey King into wearing. With a special chant, Sanzang was able to tighten the band and cause the Monkey King unbearable pain, which he would do whenever Wukong disobeyed or displeased him. Under Sanzang's supervision, the Monkey King was allowed to journey to the West.
As a disciple to Sanzang Throughout the epic Journey to the West, Sun Wukong faithfully helps Sanzang the Tang High Priest on his journey to retrieve Buddhist Sutras in (India). They are joined by Pig (Zhu Bajie) and River Demon (Sha Hesang/Sha Wujing), both of whom are ordered to accompany the priest to atone for their crimes. The priest's horse is actually a dragon prince who has been defeated by Sun Wukong and tamed by Guanyin. Sanzang's safety is constantly threatened by supernatural beings, and Sun Wukong often acts as a bodyguard. The group encounters a series of eighty one tribulations before accomplishing their mission and returning safely to China. Sun Wukong is granted Buddhahood, for his service and strength.

The Death of the Great Sage
( This is my Story/plot idea for why Monkey died)
Monkey had it all, he had power, he was feared, he'd been given so many titles and he was very happy. Though one thing tugged at him as the eons passed. He had conquered everything that had been put in his path, everything but death. Sure, he was immortal, but even a god can die. It was his fear of death that started his journey to his current place, and well, Monkey was so great, why should he have to fear anything? So Monkey set out to conquer death, not by outliving it, but by dying, and coming back.

Stone Ape Reborn
Name: Chen
Meaning of Name: Great, Tremendous
Gender: Male
Guardian: Captain Graydorf Griffon
Appearance: (Any of these can be changed, this is just an example of how I see him) Height: 5 feet as a teen, about 5 foot 6 inches when older. Thought he tends to slouch alot. Build: Skinny with well built muscles Eyes: Sky blue Hair: Long spiky bright red, long sideburns to his chin Skin: Sun tanned bronze Features: Monkey like tail that grow out from over the top of his backside. His feet are much like an apes, and the tops of his feet and hands grow small patches of fur, the same colour as his hair. Chen has large monkey like ears instead of human like ones. Markings: Several small scars over his back and chest. He has several tattoo's over him, four of them happen to be unique. These tattoo's include: A spread pheonix on his back, a spiralling green snake going down his right arm, a spiralling navy blue oriental dragon down his left arm, two blood red bear paw prints on his chest. These four tattoo's were created when Monkey was reborn as Chen, put upon him by the four dragons of the corners of the world. Seeing Monkey in a weakened and unawakened state, the dragons decided to make sure Monkey could not repeat what he had done to them in the past. So each left a mark upon the child, with the magical ability to limit the childs power. As Chen grew, so did the tattoo's, and will continue to do so as he grows, spreading over his body like living artwork. This is a payback for his past behaviour. He also wears a skull and crossbones on his stomach and a black spiders web running up his inner right thigh, these he had made on his own accord. Clothing: Usually Chen is seen only in a pair of boots and some variety of pants. Be it tight blue jeans, torn old trasers or long legged cargo shorts. He rarely wears a shirt, even when he's told he has to. On those occasions, he wears cotton button up shirts with the buttons and cuffs undone.
Language: Chen speaks a very bastardised version of english. It is hard to place which accent he has as he's adopted many from the people he might call family. A sentence like: " Would you like another slice of cake my dear friend" From Chen would sound like " Ya wanna nudder bit a cake me mate?"
Hobbies: Pranks, collecting underwear, getting into trouble, stunts, fights, cooking, swimming, streaking, perving on people, dancing, getting people to smile.
Likes: Girls, their underwear, the ocean, food, alchohol, cigarettes, giggles, being noticed, shocking people, being naked, parties, music, danger
Dislikes: Rules, his bandana, prudes, silence, boredom, old age, upset girls
Favourites: Book: Penthouse Film: Pirates of the Caribbean Song: Reel Big Fish ~ Take on me Colour: Red Food: Cream pies ( For many reasons)
Personality: Chen is like the hyperactive class clown, always on the move and always looking for trouble. He loves to pull pranks and get people riled up, he especially loves to shock the heck out of people. Chen is almost always grinning, and in any situation.
There is a rare time when Chen will have a serious look on his face, it's moments like those you know something is truely wrong. Chen tries to find the lighter side of things, or at least joke at the situation, to get others to smile with him. He believes the world should be fun, and what limited time their is for mortals, they shouldn't be sitting around moping on problems.. He loves anything dangerous or fun, to him the more dangerous, the more fun it is.
He likes to push the limits and see what he’s made of, never giving up an opportunity to get off his butt and do something. Chen does not believe in personal space, as will often like to hug people just to feel the closeness of another.
Powers: Endurance: Immortality and invincibility have long left the monkey king, but that doesn’t stop Chen. The hyper Fa’e seems to keep going and going and going, with out tiring in his enthusiasm. He also doesn’t seem to stay down when hurt or injured; he just kips back up and keeps going. Chen's tolerance for pain is also extremely high.
Klepto Tail: Chen’s tail has a mind of its own, and is prone to thieving anything not nailed down and sometimes things that are. The tail has stolen Chen's tattoo's from other people, placing them on Chen when he hasn't noticed. Chen will often put his hands in his pockets and find things he never put in there.
Agility: Chen is fairly nimble and dexterous, much like an acrobat. He’ll be prone to flips and jumps and rolls that he can seem to pull off with ease.
Cloud Walking: Chen can stand, sit and run along clouds in the sky, the only problem is getting up there in the first place.
Lost Powers: Immortality Invincibility Cloud Flying: The Monkey of legend could call the clouds to him, in which he could fly on Monkey Summoning: With a pluck of his fur, Monkey could summon his simian subjects to help him in dire need Tranformation: Monkey possesed the ability to shape himself to look like other people, animals and make himself shrink to the size of a berry or grow to the size of a mountain.
Weakness:Headband/bandana: It seems even being reborn; the Irrepressible One cannot escape his fate. Chen’s bandana is actually his old golden headband of legend, the one that caused him many a headache. This time no sutra chanting is needed. There is one specific word that will set off his headband, that no one, not even himself knows. Can you guess which one?
Upset Girls: Chen cannot stand to see a girl cry or look sad. He will go to impossible lengths to stop it from happening, even if he has to run away.
Claustrophobia: Chen has an in built fear of being underground and in very small tight places. Being under the mountain so long as Monkey, Chen has kept the instinct that being under ground is a bad place to be
Weapon of choice: Broom Handle: Chen is not seen without a bo-staff that looks much like a wooden broom handle with bandaged hand grips. Is this the Magic Wishing Staff? Or just a pacifier for Chen for loosing the one great object.
Fighting Style: Chen likes to use both Drunken Boxing, and Monkey Style Kung-Fu

Monkey in the Media
The Story of Monkey has inspired many songs, TV shows and games. Here are some of them.
In the manga Demons of Shanghai by Hiromu Arakawa. Sun Wu-kong is causing havoc in a tourist attraction called the "Pearl of the East" in the near future of Shanghai, while looking for his Ru-Yi Staff (which is being used to hold up a ceiling). Son Gokū, the central character in the Japanese manga Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z and anime Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT, is largely based on Sun Wukong. "Son Gokū" is also the Japanese pronunciation of the original character's name and is used in the Japanese translations of the original story. The character Son Gokū in the manga Gensomaden Saiyuki, is partially based on Sun Wukong.
The Monkey King played a role in the animated and manga series Naruto, as the summon Enkoo: Enma.
Mushra, a character from the anime Shinzo bears many similarities to Sun Wukong.
"The Ape" by Milo Manara retells the story of the Monkey King with humor, sexy artwork and political overtones. It ran for several months in issues of Heavy Metal, in the early 80's. Cogo, a character from the 80´s anime Starzinger, is partly based on Sun Wukong.
Uproar in Heaven or The Monkey King, a Chinese animated film released in 1965, was based on the story of Sun Wukong.
The Monkey King has made an appearance on two episodes of the Jackie Chan Adventures as Jacky Chan's foe.
Sun Wukong appears as the Monkey King in the 1983 movie, Big Bird in China. He helps Big Bird and Little Xiao Foo on their way to find Feng Huang, the phoenix.
The Xbox game Kung Fu Chaos, features a playable character called Monkey, who is referred to as a god, and uses a staff as his main weapon.
Sun Wukong is one of Chinese deities that can be summoned for assistance in the city building game Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, published by Sierra.
The Playstation 2 role-playing game Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne features Wu Kong as a playable character.
Sun Wukong's weapon is shown as the Monkey King Bar or MKB in a Warcraft 3 custom map called Defense of the Ancients. It is one of the most powerful weapons in the game.
In Halo 2, the BR55 Rifle has the "Monkey King" written on the side in Chinese.
The Microsoft Office XP Multilingual Pack provides a version of the Monkey King as one of its Office Assistants.
Sun Wukong makes an appearance in Mark Salzman's The Laughing Sutra, a modern retelling of Journey to the West.
Sun Wukong was the inspiration for the trickster Monkey character in Laurence Yep's Dragon of the Lost Sea novels
Sun Wukong has been an important reference point for three major American novels in the past few decades: Griever: An American Monkey King in China by Gerald Vizenor, Tripmaster Monkey: His Fake Book by Maxine Hong Kingston, and Monkey King by Patricia Chao. None of the novels are retellings of the Monkey/Journey story, but instead use the characters from the Chinese tradition to comment on both American and Chinese culture.
A variation on the story of Sun Wukong and the Buddha is told in the final issue of the Vertigo comics series Lucifer written by Mike Carey
Monkey Magic – Modernised cover of the theme song from the series “ Monkey”

Chen's Guardian and Family
This is a little about his home, past as well as his guardians and family
Home: Unlike most homes, Chen's home actually moves. No it's not a R.V. or a house on legs, Chen's home is a ship... A skyship. The Skyship Shooting Star, a vessel that sails the skies as much as it does the oceans beneath it. She is streamlined and fast, and the pride and joy of her captain.
Reference Image: [X] [X]
Guardian: Captain Graydorf Griffon, Gray, Sea Dragon, Ol Man Griffon ( Chen's name for him)
Graydorf is the captain of the Shooting Star, and no one handles her better. He is also the leader of a bunch of misfit pirates, which together have become the scurge of sky and sea. Graydorf is a charming man, rather dashing, polite and curteous. It is often said that he is a ladies man, and in the process of relieving them of their valuables, he charms their hearts as well. He weilds a sword as good as he captains the ship, but his greatest threat is his ability to weild magic. Graydorf also holds a strict policy on his ship with his crew, no one kills unless they have to as a last resort.
Reference Image:[X] [X]
The Finding of Chen: The Shooting Star and its crew had just flew off on another successful looting run. Taking into the clouds, as Gray had ordered, the crew muddled over the stash and chuckled over the ease of its capture. It was then that Slippers, the lookout heard a strange sound, his fork tongue tasting the air for anything different.
Sensing heat in the distance, Slippers expected a rocket, but it didn't match the sound, the sound of crying. Slippers shouted to Gray about the sound from his look out and the ship turned to investigate. They drew closer to the crying, all looking around the edge of the ship to see what could have been making that sound.
It was Slippers again who was first to spot it, a child, a baby, with a bandana around his head, laying on top of a cloud crying his little lungs out. The crew was in shock, and Gray had never seen anything like it. Gray took the child on board and immediately the boy stopped crying and tugged on Grays beard with a giggle. Gray soon grew a soft spot for the boy and took him on as his own, naming him Chen and making him a part of the crew.
Other Crew Members/ Chen's Extended Family:
Slippers: Slippers is a muscular yuan-ti, something of a snakeman, with a child like mind. He is very shy and easy to hide, something that the crew pick on him about. He was given his name as a young boy. He joined a pickpocket gang, and they were impressed with his ability to move silently up to people and pick them. Slippers is the ship's lookout as his senses are inhumanly sharp.
Reference Images: [X]
Thoughts on Chen: " He'ssssss niccccce.. and funny...He bringssssss me eggsssssss. I like eggssssssss"
Drakkon: He may look devilishly handsome and young, but Drakkon is centuries old. He is a half demon, born from a prince of the hells and a mortal woman. He is very evil, and enjoys messing with the crew and Graydorf. He serves under Graydorf as the captain knows Drakkons true name, giving Graydorf the power to have Drakkon do what ever he asks of him
Reference Image: [X]
Thoughts on Chen: " That flea bag of a abomination? The day will come when the mortal captain fades from this life. And on that day Chen's head will be on a spike"
Sparks: Another veteran of time, Sparks is an old gnome and the ships engineer. He is the heart of the ship, making sure everything is kept together. He has a cranky attitude, always muttering about something being wrong. Sparks is also an inventor, and hides himself in the bowels of the ship, looking to not be disrupted from his work.
Thoughts on Chen: " Chen who?... gah blast ya.. go away.. I'm busy"
Gagorion: A huge man, and the muscle of the ship, Gagorion likes to push his weight around, and has alot of it. He is a half giant, and likes nothing more than picking on the little guys. He became part of the crew when Gray beat him in a fight, he's been impressed with the captain ever since.
Thoughts on Chen: " God that bugger gives me the sh*ts somedays, but he's alright, specially in a scrap, taught him everything he knows"
The Other Crew: Mostly a bunch of misfit male humans, nothing hugely note worthy about them as yet.
The Lost Child
Chen had become part of the crew and grew quickly, at somewhat alarming rate to Graydorf. He kept Chen safe from the crew, or tried to, but Chen had a liking for trouble. Gray would keep him in the lower parts of the ship when they went pirating. Chen would always sneak back up and watch the battles and swooping in, he fell instantly in love with the life style.
Chen picked up what he could from the crew, from ship matenence from Sparks, to fighting and cursing from the crew. That was about the bulk of his education, it was more a life education then a shooled one. Chen still felt a little empty inside, he always wondered where he came from. Little did he know that the answers where trying to find him, but it's a bit hard trying to find a flying ship.

(Am I allowed to post? >> << If not, I'll delete! :3)
Anywho, I love how you're doing Sun Wukong! xD My concept is Kuan Yin (or using your spelling, Guanyin. I really don't know a lot of ping ying) who shows up in Sun Wukongs story quite a bit (from the version I was told as a child, at least). :3 If we both manage to get a fa'e, it'd be interesting to see how they'd react to each other! xP G'luck and all!

Accepted ^^ Also just a warning that Ao Kuang, one of the four Dragon Kings, is an upcoming NPC for Roth's adult quest (he should appear before the contest begins). Because it sounded like you were going to use them all as NPCs.
