[[A continuation of in inthread informal roleplay slowly turned formal. ^-^ Going from Enoa attached Chael's head for emo hair, to lovie dovies between Chael and Kiua. XD]]
She laughed. "Of course I can cook. What would happen if there was a horrid storm and all the ready to eat food disapeared?" She smiled and purposely bumped her shoulder into his. "There is one thing I can't do. I can't go North. Not without you." Thus far in the time she has been here, this was possibly her best day yet. She was doing something other than flying, and tending to all the green things. If she had tools for recording she would have explored the temple and recorded it. But those thoughts seem so far off now. Ever since this young buck entered her life, things have become much more exciting. The butterflies eagerly flapping through her stomach didn't need to tell her that. Something just felt so right with Chael. Chael...It was such a handsome name too.
"You'll love it then. I swear you can see the earth stretching out beneath you for miles, and the endless sky above..." She looked at him and watched him poofing out his fur and failing rather miserably. She couldn't help but laugh at the notion. "It's alright. You can be my scrawny ice lion." She laughed, and nuzzled under his chin to reassure him. "Besides, that coat will be nice and thick soon enough, then you can protect me with all that fur."

[ooc| XDDD!! I LOVE the poll. I was tor between the Mines! And YES . <333]
Chael caughed lightly, raising a paw to his lips as he muttered something along the lines of 'Ehhehe...One of us will live then..' Before a smile quickly took its place. He absolutely adored just how modest and serene she could be, it was something that simply made his stomach flutter. Like Kiua, he couldn't remember a day quite like this since his time here at the temple. Of course he did have a few amazing days with the likes of Loki and Thayne when he was young....yet it was like it was a whole different comparison!
Raising his brows, his eyes drifted down to her own as she spoke; the vision appearing in his mind. "Wow...That does sound amazing. I'm quite excited to go there!" He smiled, yet it was breif as his jaw dropped in a mock-shocked fashion. "Scrawny Ice Lion? I don't know wether to be insulted or be thankful I at least can attain a Lion status." That look quickly vanished however, when he felt the soft fur of her head nuzzle under his chin; replaced with a warm grin. "Well, looks like i'll have to take that as a compliment...at least till -our- fur grows out." He mused, his eyes however drifting up as he caught spheres of orange in his periphreal vision.
"Ahh, there are the oranges!" He exclaimed, trotting lightly under the tree yet patiently as always wouldn't go to fast for Kiua. "Anyways, reguardless....you do have the poise and grace of a Lioness. I like that...even if it makes me look bad." A soft chuckle escaped as his muzzle nuzzled against her forehead, although he did note to mind her hair and antler buds.

[[Thanks! XD Same here. w00t! Aww someone said they weren't cute. ;-; Oh well. The majority wins, their still really cute! XD]]
Kiua vaguely heard what he muttered, but didn't make any motion that she heard it. She loved how relaxed and comfortable she had become around him, like they knew each other much longer than they actually did. Her best times as a small child were nothing compared to this, completely different worlds almost.
"I am too." She walked calmly along side him. She laughed at his comment and his expression. She looked at the wall with a small smirk on her face. "You don't want to be my lion fine." And then she turned back to him grinning. "Yes a compliment indeed." She followed his gaze to the large full citrus fruits.
"It'll be like dinner and show." She mused playfully, trotting along side him having no trouble keeping the pace. "I do? Really now? I never knew. You could certainly be a lion. But you are not stuck up like they are. Which is why I would rather have you instead of the pompous lion. And we both know I couldn't possibly make you look bad." She lifted her head up into his nuzzling.
She began to walk through the orange trees, and they were slowly going up a hill. The grass was green, and the orange trees were heavy with fruit. There were several mango trees in amoungst them and like frangance of the two citrus delights lightly floated through the air, making it sweet and warm. "We'll be there soon..."

"Two of my favorite things..." Chael smiled lightly in comment to the dinner and a show they would be viewing soon. Sighing softly in content as he took a deep inhale of the citrus breeze, the skies were already gaining soft hints of colours as the sun fell. Even if the weather wasn't as cold as he liked...he felt as if he could stay here for hours relaxing in this grove of trees.
"Lion's are stuck up?" A brow raised as he questioned Kiua, tilting his head slightly as they walked. He had never seen a lion before, only heard about them from others. "Well, I have to say I wouldn't know....I would rather not go up to one and ask." He chuckled faintly, yet then seemed to have remembered something. "Well actually, we do have Cougar's up north which are similar to Lion's....yet they're quite agressive. You don't want to meet up with them."
As they began their incline up the hill, Chael spotted one tree that he thought would do the trick and slowly as if dreadingly removed his wing from hers. Stepping over to the tree, his eyes wandered along the trunk of the tree, gazing at the bark. He took a few steps around the tree, and placed his head on the trunk lightly and pushed; causing it to rustle slightly. Seeming satisfied, he turned around and gripped his paws into the grass before kicking his hind legs up and thrusting them against the trunk of the tree. The vibration from the kick had quickly crawled up the trunk and shook the branches till a few ripe oranges fell from their stems and onto the ground.
"Might as well pick up some dinner now...since we're almost there."
Chael grinned lightly, walking back over to Kiua as he adjusted his wings on his back to sit like two pouches. Since his wings were slightly more solid than her feathered ones, he figured he would carry them up the hill. Besides, something in his mind told him that she shouldn't have to carry them, and that it simply felt right to do so himself. Leanding down with his muzzle he grasped the orangeds and tossed them one by one into the air, catching them in his makeshift baskets with a few moves of his body. Turning to her he smiled and bowed his head slightly, "Shall we be off, M'lady?" He grinned, pressing forth up the hill with her by his side.

"Indeed." She loved the current weather. She was used to the warmth, but longed for change. Wanted weather she never experianced before, and to do new and wonderful things! She certainly had to say, this was one of them.
"Oh yes, lions are very stuck up. The males anyway. Like mormons. My mother used to know this one lioness and she spoke of her three past husbands. Each was stuck up, pompous and had to be fed like a king each night. Thus why she left them all." She nodded almost in matter-of-fact way and continued up the hill. "The ladies are fine though, so long as they aren't hunting or have starving cubs to feed." She nodded. "That sounds about right. I suppose not." She wouldn't want to meet up with Cougar's either. She could only imagine what harsh cold did to them seeing what harsh heat did to lions.
She let him pull away from her, sad he was leaving, but content knowing he'd be back in a few moments time. She watched him with interest as he got the fruit. A lovely manuever that was. She felt it was almost show offy in a way but put so beautifully that it drew her in and made her admire it. What she loved was how he didn't brag about it though. She had seen a malu courting another not long back, and he bragged about everything. She couldn't understand how the girl put up with him.
"Would you like some help with that love?" She went over to him to see if she could take some of the burden off of him. "But by all means, we should most definately continue M'lord." She smiled and wiggled her nose at him playfully.

"Huh. Well, I suppose when you really don't have enemies it can go to your head." He pondered for a moment as he picked up the remaining oranges and tossed them onto his back. Glancing up to Kiua, he smiled and shook his head lightly. "No no, I'm fine with these. Although if we do want some Mango's...perhaps you could grab two?" He offered, seeing as she did want to help out.
Chuckling lightly at her nose wiggle, Chael lifted a paw and poked her with a smile. "Cute." He said simply before continuing to walk through the grove in search of a Mango tree. It wasn't hard as one was simply a few trees away from where they were.
"Did you know....that some trees are more vulnerable than others?" He questioned, moving closer to the tree. "Trees with bark which grows on a slant, like this one, can bend easier than ones which bark that grow vertical. Which is why when you kick it in the direction of the slant, it causes more vibration as its bending which can cause the fruit to fall. Just to let you know if you ever can't reach fruits, or don't feel like jumping, unless you already knew then I appologize."
Chael said sheepishly, remembering back to the many times he wasn't able to reach objects untill he had seen an older Malu do what he just explained.

"Very true. Lions are normally always on the top of the food pyramid." She stuck her tongue out at 'them' in distaste and in doing so crinkled up her nose and shaking her head sarcastically. She turned back to him, suddenly concerned and smiled. "You sure? Yeah, mango's sound look a good idea. A little variety." She smirked and went over to a tree, listening to him describe how to do it.
If she did indeed already know how to she didn't say so. She faced away from the tree and lifted her hind leg and trust it back. She didn't put too much effort in it, as she didn't need that many. Sure enough 3 mangos fell from the tree. She watched them begin to fall as though she was hypnotized by the movement. As they fell she stretched out her wings. Each fruit rebounded off her left wing, it looked as if they were about to fall down her back and onto the ground, but as they began their roll, her right wing cupped under them and held them in a cradle of dark feathers. "How was that?" She smiled cockily and then just returned to her simple smile and trotted over to him. "And I think you explained it just beautifully." She looked at his sheepish expression felt the fluttering in her stomach float all the way up to her heart and receed back down again. She felt the light tingling heat rise in her cheeks, and continued to smile, trying not to smile like an idiot.

Standing like a fool, Chael has his muzzle partially open as he watched in utter fascination. It wasn't untill she had approached and spoke that he snapped out of it with a quick shake of his head. Spotting her faint glow under the fur of her cheeks, a smile spread on his lips as he took a single step forewards.
"That was...amazing. I might have explained it well, but I wished I looked as good as you did when I did it....stunningly beautiful..."
Wasting no opportunity at such close proximity, Chael leaned forewards and placed a kiss upon her heated cheek. Since he was already there, he nuzzled softly the spot he had just pecked before pulling back slowly. Turning around he took a few steps up the hill before looking back quite calmly.
"We should get going, I really do not want to miss a moment of the sunset. I'm very excited."
A serene smile overcame his lips as he continued to stroll up the hill with the oranges at his sides. The night was young, and for some reason, he almost wished it would never come so that the sunset would last all night. It wasn't possible, yet he cherished wishful thinking.

For a moment she wondered what she did to get a stare such as that, but it disapeared and she couldn't help but grin about it.
"You give me too much credit and not enough to yourself!" She teased.
Her cheeks became more heated and she stood struck dumb for a moment when he kissed her cheek. For a moment she completely forgot what she was doing and nearly dropped the mangos from her wings as she was almost sure the wings had turned to jelly along with everything else. By the time she realised she was infact solid and still standing stupidly, she turned and noticed Chael a few steps away.
Making sure she had the mangos she trotted after him to catch up. "Neither do I...!" She was just as excited too, still a little dumb struck and warm in the cheeks.
She watched his smile and couldn't help but think, that smile was for her. She too wished the night would never end and, knowing it wouldn't happen, merely wished it felt like it would last forever.

As Kiua caught up to his side, his own head turned to look ahead as a distant look overcame his features. It was strange how things had shifted from the time he had first met her back in the temples. Going from a shy young adult who could barely stand without falling around the opposite gender....he now felt as if he would go any lengths for her. Was this that....love, he heard the other older Malu talk about? Wasn't it too soon for that? What if this was something else...and he was simply mistaken? From what he had seen from everyone else...
this sure felt like the real thing.
"Nahh. I think my Credits are in order. It's only the truth I speak."
Drifting off once again, Chael also found it odd just how, well mature he had become because of her. He remembered an incident back in the spring when he was a child, he had almost felt this feeling, yet did not find anyone to share it with. Later he was told this feeling happens naturally in the spring to Malu....yet now, it was fall - nearly winter. This wasn't just hormones, as he did feel connected to Kiua....it seemed she too in a way accepted his own god....as Snow originated from the skies above, and fell to settle on the earth.
Tilting his head up, he noticed that the plateu was just up ahead as his ears perked up in excitement. Leanding in to gently n** her ear and pull slightly, Chael let go and bounded up the hill. "Come on Kiua! We're there!" He called back in joy, taking the last bound up to the top as his eyes immediatly turned to look back at the temple in the distant down the hill, turning to look to the desert. It was vast, amazngly so as it stretched out for miles. The skies were just as she described them, endless, as colours began to shift from blue to an assortment of pinks, oranges and reds. It was then Chael became rather still, as his eyes held still staring off into the north, almost gaining a lost feeling within them. It was there, almost beyond the horizon that he could tips of White mountians hiding behind the desert's distant sands. That was home....that was where he had been forced to leave it all behind.
"Beautiful..."
He whispered softly, feeling his heart swell at the sight of his homelands in the distance. So desperately he wished to run down from this hill, through the jungle and across the desert back home...yet reminders of what kept him here reappeared in his head. Memories of Thayne, Loki, Enoa, Amadeus....and more importantly, the Malu right here with him. It was due to them, that his feet remained planted on the ground below him.

She followed after him. So many changes had occured throughout her life, her home, her family, friends... But of all the changes.. She wanted this one to stay. She wanted it to always feel like this. Love must surely feel this way, she thought. Is that what this is though? Love? It had to be! What else could it be? She wouldn't want to be running around if she felt sick even though her stomach had something building up. She was happy, but almost over whelmingly so.
She heard him speak and turned to him, cocking her head to side. Her expression was a tad more relaxed, as if she came to terms with something and perfectly fine with it. "Than your truth must surely be twisted."
She never had someone to love back in her old home on the Eastern plains, as it was often too dangerous for Malu to live there due to the lion threat in that area. Her family could sort of fly, though it was more like a glide, so they were safe there. But she always felt rather lonely having few friends. She longed for others to play with, but her mind never really slipped across the subject of love and finding someone you wanted to be with forever. She used have this thought that, it just happened, as if someone was assigned to you. But it didn't work that way. It was much more exciting this way. She was so glad it didn't work out the way she had always thought it had.
She looked up and found again that she had day dreamed off, coming back after he nipped her ear. "We are?" She looked around and realized they were. The sun was near setting too! She almost galloped after him, but restrained herself to a canter. She reached the top of the plateau with him and looked at him, as the sun was hitting his face. She followed his gaze out to the scenery at took it all in. It was always breathe taking inspite of the fact this was were she spent all of her evenings. As close to sky and earth as one could be and feeling small and so happy and great at the same time. Feeling and knowing that you were at the place with reason but always knowing that your home seemed so simple as, 'just over the hill'.
She longed to go home in many aspects, but she knew in the corner of her heart there was nothing for her there, and why should she want to leave this place? She had only been around for a short while and she as finally making friends! And of course, there was Chael. She felt she couldn't go anywhere without him at her side. Or at least, without knowing he wasn't far away.
"Isn't it?" She let the mangos roll off her back form her wings next to them and let her wings relax as she stared out at the mountains, and the sand dunes, the nearby jungle, and even allowed her eye to glance across the orange tinted air of the sun to see the path that would undoubtably lead her to her old home. She then turned her back from the plains and let her eyes rest on where they were going to go in several months time. Away on a trip to see the gorgeous lights of the winter land Chael called home. She was excited. She leaned her body against him smiled.

Unfolding his wing, Chael allowed the oranges to gently fall down beside the mango's on the grass. Turning his gaze back to the vast world before them, it brought upon a mix of emotions...some which he would have preffered not to remember. Glancing back to the temple, he smiled as he thought of his numerous friends wandering the corridors. Shifting to the mountians ahead, his mind drifed almost bitterly to his Mother....was she still there? Did she not care what happened to him down here....and more importantly....why did she leave him here? Shaking his head lightly as an angry look had almost spread on his features, he quickly left that behind as he felt the warmth of Kiua's body leand against his own. Smiling down at her, his eyes softened as they almost always did when she came into his sights.
"No...I think its pretty straightforeward.."
Musing, Chael turned his attentive gaze back to the sights as the sun began to sink below the mountians. The sky shifted its hues to autumns and pinks, which Chael took the opportunity to sit down slowly onto his haunches. It was beautiful, calming and everytime he saw the sunsets it was just as breathtaking as the first time...in all truths, Kiua shared the same description as Sunsets in Chael's mind. Gazing down at her he noticed the warmth in her eyes as she too looked out onto the world, which made his heart quicken in pace. Taking a breath, the male weighed his options mentally, could he do it..? Or would this be another awkward moment for him? Somehow...he just couldn't keep quiet any longer...
"Kiua...I...I know it may sound weird..but i've come to feel differently about you. I don't know how to explain it, you see...but I'm going to give it a shot. Since I first met you, I felt like i've swallowed a mass amount of butterflies....and they won't leave. My heart quickens when you speak, and nearly stops when you look at me."
He breathed softly, closing his eyes for a moment to try and controll his instinct to stutter and stumble on his words.
"I can't stand being silent about how I feel when i'm with you...yet its twice as worse when i'm not with you. I...its selfish, but I hate it when you're not around. In short...I don't want to leave your side...you mean too much to me.."
Opening his eyes once more, he took a shy glance to Kiua as his face appeared slightly redder than blue. Be it from a heated blush or the sun's setting rays...he would never tell. Finally able to breathe semi-normally, Chael was curious what was going to happen...perhaps he shouldn't have said something..?

She looked over the vast aray of colors and land soaking it all in through her eyes and letting the warmth fill her to the bone and relax her love-struck muscles. She gave a content sigh.
"If you insist."
She felt so good, so comfortable. Things were starting to make sense, and the butterflies that ceased to leave her stomach began to calm themselves. The sunset was truelly gorgeous and she didn't want to spend it with anyone else. No-one would be more perfect to share this moment with than Chael. Inspite of the fact his fur resembled the cool snows of his homeland, his personality was everything in the sunset. Warm and kind, and at the same time it reminded her of the Earth, being strong, kind, slightly clumsy in some cases but over all good natured and forgiving. His eyes reminded her of the sky, blue and forever going on, letting her become lost in them. It felt like the moment would never end as she stood next to him, and then sat, cuddling closer to him. Her thoughts willed off happily to far of places and dreams, and she was soon pulled back by a melodic voice. She turned and looked at Chael.
Just when the butterflies had come down, they rose once more, taking flight within her stomach. It was...exactly as she felt! She didn't say anything but rather let him speak and get everything out before she went into her own little montage(sp?). She watched him close his eyes, and take a breathe to sort out his thoughts, and listened. Finally when his voice stopped, it took a moment to realize he had stopped and the words sunk in. The toes in her front paws squirmed, fidgeting occasionally retracting in and out. She knew she wasn't going to be able to get everything out, because she felt it was going to burst from her lips if she didn't talk immediatly.
"No! I-It's not weird at all. I... I have too. All your symptoms I share them as if they were unintentionally contagious. Butterflies cease to rest, and just when I think they might calm, they are flustered up once more."
She took in a deep breathe before continueing.
"Nor can I. I feel as though, everyday in the past was simply a step leading towards this, and at the same time as if I've just been born and there was no yesterday. I can't.. I can't even really remember what my life was like here before I met you. Like I've finally left a thick sea and am now soaring above it in the clear sky...I-- What I'm trying to say is...I hate it when you aren't around either, and... I don't want to leave you side."
Her face was blushed and she noticed the blush of his own cheeks, or of the sky, she didn't know, nor care. She took in a deep breathe and leaned herself against him letting his sturdy frame support her as she nuzzled her muzzle into his soft blue fur. "I've never been so happy....."

Rejection. Chael had heard of such a word, and often related it to his abandonment in the temple by his own flesh and blood. It wasn't something he was used to on a level like this, and wasn't sure how to act if it arose. His eyes had closed a moment before her lips opened to speak, almost fearing the worst in that instant. It was amazing how fast he had fallen for this Malu beside him...although some might have said it was rushing, he felt this was not the case at all. The heart had no concern for time and social normalities...it was spontanius and pure in its actions. This prooved correct as he felt it pause for a moment before resuming with a quickened pace.....an acceptance.
Shifting his deep blue orbs onto the hazel femme, as she confessed of her mirrored emotions to his own. It was what he had been hoping to hear, no, what he had been desperately wishing would flow from her lips. In turn his body leaned against her frame, yet only slightly as to stablize before his head moved to nuzzle the top of hers; paying heed to her horn nubs of course. Stretching his wing out, the appendage wraped about her own shoulders in a gesture to keep her close to him.
"Kiua...Will you be mine? If you accept...I will always be by your side...no matter what. You will be the keeper of my heart, one to which I protect with everything that is me.."
Chael spoke with a rather strong, but gentle tone as his muzzle moved down to her cheek. Nudging her muzzle faintly so she would turn her gaze to him, the soft smile returned as he pressed his muzzle to her own in a soft kiss before adding one more sentence to what he had said before.
"You make me happier than a freshly powdered, clear sky morning sunrise up North... "
...And there was nothing Chael loved more than that, untill now.

She felt so good now. Now that she had finally gotten everything she had building up inside of her out and relaxed. The butterflies now though ceased to stop, but they became almost a secondary feeling. And the fact that everything was so... clear was amazing for her. Almost as though it was the first nice day in spring and the air is just right and everything is in bloom. But it wasn't spring. Which told her that these feelings were true. There could be reason for doubt if it was the spring. She was glad that the seasons played no part in these feelings that they came solely from her.
She snuggled next to him, enjoying how close they were as the setting sun ushered a slow and cooler temperature to start setting in. She felt secure and content as his wing was draped around her. The moment was so... perfect. Exactly as she imagined it heading up the hill and going through the temples. She looked at him as he began to speak.
She was soon over come with the desire to laugh and cry with joy all at the same time. Her maw curled into a grin and her eyes were wet with tears. She felt as though she didn't know what to say. She knew what she wanted to say, but no words seemed adequate enough to express her joy.
