 Will stood beneath the towering willow tree, his eyes closed and his tail swishing slowly. All was peaceful, and for that, he was happy.
A strong sense of foreboding suddenly filled his body, and his eyes opened quickly. He sniffed at the air, and only smelled a faint scent of squirrel. No big deal.
He slowly closed his eyes again, breathing out a long sigh.
What a perfect day, he thought to himself. Absolutely nothing could go wrong to make this day bad.

 A cold wind whipped at NightShade's back as she moved through the open fields, sparkly ghost flames danced aorund her hooves setting the ground ablaze where they hit but the flames didn't last long for the fizzeled out with her passing.
Glowing eyes scanned the land aorund her as she sniffed the air for the scent of another. The twin tines of her horns protruding form her well formed head gleamed dealy in the sunlight. She was a beautiful female nightmare offset by the cold darkness ragging within her.

Will sniffed at the air every few moments after that, the squirrel having set him off.
A strange scent hit his nose. Was it another squirell? No, that wasn't it... perhaps an eagle? Not that either.
It smelled of fire. Burning. Female.
Female. Female? Female! Will was excited at the prospect of meeting a female. The flames scared him a bit, but the female was exciting. Now, where was she?

Shade spread her opaque glittering wings slightly her nostrils had coughtt he scent of another, a male. Her braids shifted slightly when she tossed her head. About then was when she saw him standing beneath a willow tree. Her eyebrows raised as she looked him over form a distance liking what she saw she started to approach him.
Tilting back her dainty head the mare let out a whicker in greeting, she had a strong german accent to her voice but it rang clear like a bell, bright and crisp in the chilly air.

Will's eyes grew wide. The dark female before him, with her sparkling wings catching his attention at first, then her beautiful features.
"H-h-hi..." he mumbled hoarsely, his voice refusing to work correctly. "I'm Will Turner. And you are?"
He looked to the ground, found an apple that he had brought over, and picked it up to offer it to the strange female.

"Goodday to you, I'm NightShade may i know your name sir?" She watched him with her glowing eyes drinking him in even more now that she was clsoe, yes he was handsome indeed. The mare flciked her tail back and forth lazilly her ears swiveling as she listened to the sounds around them.

"It is good to meet you as well, NightShade," he said, dropping the apple out of his mouth and kicking it in her direction. "And I believe I have already given my name."
He scanned over the mare for a moment, then said, "Are they sharp? Your horns, I mean."

She ate the apple in one bite and lifted her ehad at his question, "indeed they are though i rarely use them for anything more than to hunt down food." Her twitched her tail and it snapped slightly like a whip being cracked.

Will quirked his eyebrow. "Hunting? You mean that you eat meat?" He swallowed. She was a nice enough mare and all, but if she was going to eat him, he was going to have to fight back as much as he could.
If that was called fighting at all.

She laughed "oh dear that look in your eyes, don't worry Will m'boy i only eat deer and maybe the occasional smaller game, I find Soquili meat to be quiet disgusting." She shook her head making a face of disgust for a minute before returning to normal.

Will breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed a little. So far, this mare seemed okay, but there was something about her that unnerved him a little.
"So do you graze at all, or just eat meat and apples?" he asked tentatively, his shoulder muscle twitching a bit.

She smiled slightly "i graze sometimes but only one i cain't find anything else to eat." She tilted her head this stallion he was odd but she liked him well enough he could make her genuinly laugh and that was a rare thing.

Will smiled. "It's not as good as most think, I have to agree... I prefer the fruit and sugar my human gives me. Sweet and juicy."
He bowed his head, took a big mouthful of some sweetgrass growing near his feet, and chewed it up.
"Sweetgrass isn't that bad, but regular grass is boring."
Then he thought to himself, Wow, I must be really boring, talking about grass.

She sniffed the grass near his hooves and raise dher head again "smells interesting enough but i'm not a fan of grass."
She smile donce mroe at this stallion, he was abit interesting and she felt a strange closeness to him, who knew maybe in time that clsoeness could grow into something stronger and more powerful but with Shade one never knew.

Will shrugged. "Nobody said anyone had to like it," he joked, quirking his brow and trotting around Shade a little.
Shade, in Will's impression, felt like one of the guys at the present point in time. She made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside, of course, but she also made him want to dunk her in the lake (( if he wasn't worried about her eating him. ))
