"Come on, sis!" he called back over his shoulder, his short tail wagging back and forth furiously. There had been one thing on his mind, and that had been to get out on an adventure. But he knew that his parents wouldn't approve of him going out on his own, so he had brought his sister Nasrin along with him, leaving Kaede, Rei, and Leith back with Taima. He just hoped the two 'sisters' didn't fight or anything.
Stopping for a moment, he tilted his head and glanced back at his sister, waiting for her to catch up. Was he going too fast?
"Hey, wanna go hunting?" he asked excitedly, his mind not on pretty females for once. Damu had taught him some tricks for hunting, and he was eager to try them out. Plus, he would make his parents so proud if he brought back a mouse or perhaps even a plump, juicy rabbit! Oh, he could taste the delicious meat now.
"Dad showed me how to stalk and stuff. It's really easy! I could teach you if you want.." he offered, not quite sure if Taima, their mother, had taught the girls anything.
His tail still wagging, Darius, looked forward again, searching the area around them. They were still in Hige's packlands, he knew, and so he wasn't afraid of danger or anything. Not that he would be scared of danger anyways. He was proud, strong, tough. He could defend his family, no problem!
His nose twitching, he thought he smelled a small mouse. Not worth his time. That was barely a meal for himself! A rabbit would be better, if only he could find one..

Nasrin had come along with her brother for one main reason-she hated being left out. She didn't care what it was that was going on, she wanted to be part of it. And there were plenty of things she didn't like to do...but would be determined to do anyway just for the sake of being in on the action. And this was one such time. Hunting did not really apeal to her-it seemed rough and rather boring to the little pup. And it wasn't because she thought she couldn't do it...she just didn't want to.
Her big ears perked at his question and she wrinkled her nose thoughtfully. She would have said no but...then she'd be missing out. So instead she murmured, "Yeah, okay!" She grinned and trotted after him, not really paying attention to what she was doing. Despite agreeing, she didn't seem very focused on the task.

Darius was oblivious to his sister's lack of motivation for hunting. He was too busy thinking about how he would bring back this fat rabbit for his family and how they would all be so proud of him. Then he would grow up and become a great wolf like his father, hunting and bringing back bigger and better game for his parents and siblings.
"Alright, come on!" he yipped, the scent of a rabbit having drifted past his nose. He wasn't all that experienced with tracking, but he was sure it couldn't be too hard. All he had to do was follow the scent right? Heh, easier said than done, he thought, as he padded forward. He had trouble telling which direction the rabbit scent had come from. A little furious with himself, he stopped momentarily to look back at his sister. He wanted to ask her if she could tell which way the rabbit scent came from, but he didn't want to sound like he couldn't find it.
"I smell rabbit. Can you tell which way the rabbit scent is coming from?" he asked, acting as if he were her mentor and was testing her or something. It was a nice solution to his dilemma. And if she couldn't tell where it was coming from, then well... he'd just have to wander and hope he found somehting.
But in the meantime he perked his ears forward and twitched his nose, trying to figure out which way to go as he waited for a response from his sister.

Narsin looked at him as if he was crazy. Sighing as if she had been asked to do something that required way too much effort on her part she sniffed at the air. The scent of the rabbit reached her nose and she could sorta tell where it was coming from if she concentrated really hard. But once she noticed she could find it she stopped trying and glanced at her brother, "Of course I can! What? Can't you?" It was a harmless enough question, since she hadn't picked up on his "mentor" attitude and neither had she assumed that he couldn't do it by himself. What was worse was just because she could find it didn't mean she had-she really hadn't paid any attention to where it was. She was just doing it because she wanted to do something and she didn't want to get left in the dust.

Darius narrowed his eyes innocently at his sister. His plan had practically backfired when she had asked him if he couldn't locate the rabbit. He still wouldn't admit that he couldn't, so he tried his best to seem proud and mentor-like.
"Of course I can!" he retorted, perhaps with too much feeling than would have been necessary if he was really just mentoring her. "I was just seeing if you could. Sheesh, can't help it if I want to teach you something," he sighed, though there was an affectionate gleam in his eyes. He really did love his sister. It was just his pride getting in the way this time.
"Anyways, since you don't seem too interested in the rabbit, why don't we just do something else?" he offered, finding it useless to try and track down this rabbit now. The scent was already becoming stale, meaning the creature had most likely moved on by now.
"How 'bout we go to the river and maybe get a drink and swim?" That seemed much easier than trying to teach Nasrin something she wasn't interested in.
