By now i'm sure at least 75% of the loyal Negima fans world-wide witnessed Episode 1 of Negima being reproduced on either torrents or the infamous YouTube site (For the record, i saw it on YouTube and it had great quality). In fact Episode 1 with english subtitles is now available after checking and noticing that only the raw version was available just last week.

I don't know what is going on an AQS or Mahora Academy but i'm sure that the feedback for the viewing of episode 1 of Negima!? are dropping in every minute. In fact i got irritated when everyone in this guild started saying they have just seened episode 1 of the Negima!? TV and it was like no one could shut up about.

So what did i do? I saw it myself. 4laugh

So what did i think?
1. Very good opening and closing. I did notice that both Negi and Nagi had a bracelet. That something that is not seened on the Negima manga. I'm guessing Nagi passed on the staff and the bracelet to Negi in this remake.

2. The art is amazing. Every single character that debuted so far shined like Hollywood stars. Although i disagree with some hair color schemes such as Hasegawa being a brunette and Sakurako being a blodnie. confused

3. Already it's only episode 1 and the storyline is already catchy. When the original Negima TV series started, it didn't have the same feeling......it didn't have the same vibe or did it seem like there would be any interest for it. Negima!? Episode 1 was great in terms of the storyline......so imagine what else it's gonna deliver in the future. 3nodding

I did notice a couple of other things that caught the fans eye for example like someone said before in this guild, Konoka and Setsuna are talking to eachother. Unlike the manga Setsuna didn't need Negi to make her friends with both Asuna and Konoka.

Each character was promptly introduced. Unlike the old Negima TV where they didn't introduce a character until the last episodes, this new TV series has given you the names of all 31 students that will be apart of an amazing journey. 3nodding

And by the way the classroom looks like a college classroom with rows of seating that get higher as you walk towards the back of the room.

I give Negima!? a 5 in the poll. This new TV series definitely makes up for the horrible TV series previously released. Negima TV is now at it's prime.

You must mean the first Negima shows... those sucked bad.

Anyway, to the topic.

I definatly see this new Negima series to be something to look forward to. I've heard rumors that Negima?! is supposed to shorter than the first series, which is very disappointing, but the overall story thus far makes up for that. I think what Negima?! has that the first series lacked is the right kind of comedy. Note, for example, the little sign beside Fei-Ku when she nears the end of her little segment, that's showing the old Akamatsu-sama's style. So, yeah, while it's been heavily revised, this time it's for the better.

And yeah, I noticed Zazie in the back, juggling and what-not. That made me laugh whenever I saw it.

I actually like Chisame as a Brunette, but I hate the fact that Sakurako has blonde hair it's disturbing, and Makie has green eyes, It just reminds me too much of Sakura from Naruto (Who I hate) but I love Makie she's cool.

Still happy that Mana and Zazie makes an appearance though! heart

In my opinion, Studio SHAFT totally flipped the can open in the good side of the fence for sure. I mean, yeah, they might've changed some details here and there, but in the overall sense of how the show moves, the storyline flows and all that, I think it's quite good. It's definitely something worth the attention of Negima! fans everywhere, but it's a shame that a rumor even exists about it being short. crying I wonder how the more heavy battles in the manga will play out? (Here's hoping that they get far enough this time to show the battle between Takamichi and Negi! wink )

I give the new series a 5, and another 5 if the next episode is just as good as the first one.

Episode 1 was very enjoyable. Even if I had to rewatch it over and over in the subbing process, I'm still able to enjoy it. We're also releasing some translation notes on the Mahora Academy forums for those curious about some references and whatnot. If we left out any references, we just don't know where it came from. All these references are pretty much a test to see how otaku the viewers are, so we leave those untranslated to give those people who understand it a better laugh.

And I'm glad Chisame's hair is not green. But they gave her green hair to Natsumi. D:

is kotaro gonna make an appearance? because he didnt in the precious one. tho i gotta agree the first series sucked and nobody is actually introduced. you gotta memorize the names. for example, lets say konoka talks to asuna. konoka says asuna's name, *bang* asuna is in your head now, asuna says konoka's name, *bang* konoka is in your head now. the only real way you'd know 'em all before the first episode would be to confront the manga. which is a drag...
