My roommate in the dorms first year (2 years ago) showed me how to make cooked brocolli with cheese in the cafeteria microwaves (using brocolli from the salad bar, lol). It didn't catch on with me at the time, but for the past month I've been eating this stuff non-stop. I am addicted! So yummy :X
Have you ever gotten any food/cooking addictions from your roommates before? If so, what were they? Are you still addicted? After how long?

Edit: Cataclysm gave the idea of changing this to a simple recipes thread smile So share all your simple recipes biggrin

Hmm, No, I don't think anyone has started me on a different food, But I've gotten other people to eat strange things! Like top Ramon with Mustard, Thats teh yummeh! 3nodding

Mustard??? Do explain! I eat my ramen with egg (like egg-drop soup). I like the shrimp Ichiban + egg the best. Mmmmm ramen.

Its Ymmy. ^.^ but my mum doesn't buy Ramon anymore, so if I want it I have to get it myself gonk but its only 1$ for like 10 things of it, so its not bad. 3nodding

How about we call this place a recipe exchange for easy to make foods? Gives it a little more structure, and I'll refer people here when they have recipe's.

Has anyone tried slicing spam really thinly, then dipping it in egg, and frying it in cooking oil until it's kinda burnt, crispy. Have that over rice. YUMM!

Everyone should know how to make Teriyaki chicken.
Grill chicken breast, slice into strips or leave it whole, however you like it.
Heat up teriyaki sauce in a sauce pan, make sure to have it on low heat until it warms up to a simmer.
Pan sear some vegetables with a little bit of garlic. (green and red bell peppers, summer squash, sliced carrots, zuchinni, broccoli) or whatever combination you prefer.
Serve the chicken over rice and the teriyaki sauce on the chicken, with greens on the side. Good eating right there!

i don't live in a dorm or anything sweatdrop i'm @ a junior college crying but i shall move out by next fall xd but i do have some recipes for starving students living by themselves xd
- corned beef(make sure to get the cans that cost between $3.50 - $5 for the more expensive it is the better it tastes but there's fat in it xp )
1 - chop up 1 onion, 2 slices of ginger and cut those slices lengthwise, and dice up 2 little pieces of garlic, get 4 cherry tomatoes and cut them in half
2 - toss all of that in the pan and let the juices of that stuffs sizzle a bit
3 - add the corned beef
4 - add about a 1/3 - 1/2 cup of water
5 - stir occassionally and simmer
6 - EAT WITH RICE 4laugh
- egg
1 - take one potato and chop it into small fries
2 - add vegetable oil to pan
3 - scramble some eggs in a bowl and add a dash of salt for every egg added
4 - add a little bit of milk to egg to give the "fluffyness" (you can also add milk if you're going to just cook regular scrambled eggs)'
5 - fry the potato thingies in the pan for a little bit
6 - add the eggs and just cook like you would a regular scrambled egg
7 - EAT WITH BANANA KETCHUP OR REGULAR KETCHUP
8 - EAT WITH RICE mrgreen
