User ImageThe land itself seemed almost too good to be simply found. It had many desirable traits despite its former inhabitants. Meskeet had interest in many gnarled things, but bears were not among them. While convincing them to flee wasn't as hard as she'd originally imagined it was still bothersome none the less. There seemed to be many redeeming qualities to her seer abilities.

Good.

With life going as it had been the earth colored female was glad to finally see things begin to go her way. The initial appeal to the bears and the frightening scenerios she'd worked up and sent their way had left her rather drained for a few days. A few easy days atleast.

Smoothly she'd slid from sleep this morning and began to thoroughly investigate the lands while she still felt fresh. Malady had become a wreck resently. Meskeet supposed it was destined to happen sooner or later. Puppies, a new sleep schedual, and being screwed up to begin with didn't bode well for her older cousin.

Oh well. No chip to her.

Padding distractedly along the female ignored the various rodents she saw dart busily amongst the trees. Game was far better here. If only it wasn't so mucky in some parts. Quick sand patches and easily flooded paths around the edges were only slight dampeners. But to someone like Meskeet they weren't really that bad. Mud. Just like her. Perhaps she would blend in nicely with these surroundings.

Thankfully Xipetotec did not blend so well. Checking up on him every few minutes had become a boring chore, but to keep him under her control and out of trouble at the wrong time it was necessary.

There were so few willing slaves these days.

How long had he been traveling these days? Everday more and more ground was covered as his legs carried him even further and further each passing moments. His body was sore, but he didn't acknowledge the pain at all. Pain was for the weak, only the strong survived. Croanyl would make sure one day, one day he would get his revenge.

It would be sweet.

Sweet as the taste of freshly flowing blood.

It made him shiver with delight, seeing bodies around him, that wretched wolfess of a black pelt and red markigns, the great black oaf that dare attack him. Phib. Yes, that was his name. One day, yes, one day he would go back for them all. But first, Rage would fall, then everyone after that.

Croanyl had no where to go, but he was tired of wandering, but also didn't want to be part of a goody-goody pack either. He wanted rage and anger and blood. He wanted it all.

But where would he find it?

Who would udnerstand him?

Sunlight sliding off her back the brown female ventured off the path and down into the brush. The shadows cast by errant trees made it appear like a stairway to another level of earth, but it was only a short cut to one side of the packland's outskirts.

But the best side was much farther behind her. Where trees dwindled until they disappeared all together. The ground cracked stiffly and jutted towards the sky here and there. Old bones lay like guardians before the caves. A waiting wasteland.

Arguin had been troubling her as of late. Not by physically bothering her, but because he had one of the pups. She didn't like the pups, of course not, only Dorian. But still. Arguin had Leslie or whatever his name was, and that could cause problems later. Especially if Arguin was raising him. Arguin. Ick.

It didn't matter at the moment anyway. She needed to find someone to keep her mangy pack in line. She would do it, of course, but she was busy with other things. Successful murder didn't just happen, in Phib's pack that is. No. She needed a bit more for that to happen.

Coming out between two trees Meskeet stood atop the slight slope and stared unblinkingly out at the freelands that skirted her new territory. Not Xipetotec's territory, hers.

A grey form caught her eye.

Croanyl kept going, huffing to himself, reminiscing about the old times. When he could do what he wished, when there weren't any others who could get in his way, they would all leave him alone in fear of what he could do. But then he lost everything, stripped of his seer powers, well, he was bitter from it, which was what drove him to do the same to Arguin.

Arguin, that little twit.

And that stupid black pelted girl.

Damn them all to hell, thats what he wanted to do and wished would happen. But unfortunately, not many wolves dropped dead of natural causes, their throats had to be ripped out for anything like that to occur. No, so he was here, hoping for a new start, wherever here was. He wanted blood now, the smell of it and the taste of it...

Who would understand him?

((Sorry it took so long
No one, exactly his thought.

Standing visibly agitated Meskeet stood amongst two trees and directly in the Croanyl's path. Body stiff and fur slightly raised she regarder the strang wolf with a lowered head. Not of submission, but ready with a bite waiting.

She couldn't have this. Not today.

"Who're you too have such loud thoughts?" In this area it was difficult to avoid the wandering thoughts of those near by, especially so if they called out points of familiarity.

"And how do you know Arguin?"

That blue idiot. She was doing her best to forget him. Dorian held no blue, thankfully, so she atleast didn't have to stare directly at an image of Arguin every morning.

But the pups were reminder enough. The seer wasn't sure how many more of his influences she could take.

Croanyl tilted his head at the female, so, she was a seer was she? He grinned satanically, all too perfect. But, on teh other hand, she was female, he hated the idea of harming females who didn't deserve it..no wait, he did. But not this one, seerism was a special quality which Croanyl acknowledged.

"I am sorry my thoughts bothered you my dear, I will try to have it not happen again," he said in a gentlemen-like voice and bowed his head to her. "My name is Croanyl, and Arguin, is a bafoon, I took his gifts from him, just as his mentor stole them from me. He adn his brother, I know them quite well, would like to kill them both soon and taste their blood on my tongue. The darker one is the one I would like to kill second, Arguin is first in line. He couldn't even steal a mere child from a pack and bring her to me, that child could've given me everything back," he said with a harsher tone.

Damn that female to hell.

"What might be your name miss?"

Meskeet had her doubts. A child, holding all that was necessary to make one a Seer? Ridiculous. What such child could do that? Rage? ... She would have to look into that female more than she had originally assumed.

But his nice act annoyed her. "You play nice awefully well. But I don't fancy an actor right now."

Unfortunately she saw things in the male that peeked her interest far too much to just chase him off with rude remarks. "Meskeet."

More importantly, "You'll be after Arguin then? And I assume by pack you mean the Outriders?"

They silly questions she already knew the answers too. But she felt compelled to voice them none the less.

"Well then Croanyl, what would you say if I said I could help you get your wishes?" She raised her head and regarded him with curiosity, sizing him up.

Croanyl grinned, so she knew, caught on, very nice, very nice indeed. Oh, so this Meskeet hated the blue wolf and his brother as well? Wonderful, truly wonderful. He was beginning to like the company of this she wolf.

"Yes the Outriders, the damned child lives there, I want to kill her too of course, perhaps all three in the same day, yes, would be very nice, veyr nice indeed to create more havoc over there..." he remembered his invasion, fighting Phib, oh yes, in his mind those images stuck. Yes, always there for him to feed his hatred off of.

"Really then? Do tell Meskeet, I would love to hear your offer, I would do anything to see those three laying dead as corpses upon the ground, drowning in their own blood..." his tail swayed behind them. Perhaps this stop would prove to be a good choice he had made.

Never one to let her guard down the brown female watched him carefully. Taking a few steps to the side she paused a few moments as if finally deciding on something.

"I could bring you Daemon and Arguin, both in no condition for a fight. But the girl I gain nothing in killing, while I have the world to gain from Arguin. Her you'll have to get on your own. But Arguin I could give you easily. He'd never suspect you being about. The filth."

He had to be atleast. She was having difficultly when it came to him. He was one of the few things that confused her, being hard for her to sort into enemy or allie. Flushing him out didn't necessarily mean she would be the one to kill him.

Besides, he'd fooled her. And he never would again.
