Personally I really Elanor Daley. I've sung so much of her work and loved it all. Most of it's hard at the begining, but once you get into it, it's fn and rewarding. I know I sound like a text book, but truly it is.

And of her songs I have to say I love "Child with a starry crayon". It's damn hard, but so much fun in the end. My choir did it last year for nationals.

So what are your favorites? Who's songs do you like to sing the most? Or even what songs do you like to sing the most?

Mozart. We did a Mozart program last year, and I just fell in love with his songs. Espicially the 'Requiem'. That one kicked BUTT.

Personally, I'd addictted to Gwyneth Walker's stuff right now. We're singing "i thank You God" in chorus this year (the lyrics are by e.e. cummings) and it's absolutely amazing. She also did "How Can I Keep From Singing?" which, um, is kinda my theme song. lol.

I've only ever done one piece by her....
" The Stars are with the Voyager"
I didn't care for it....

The hands down greatest composer of the modern era has to be Moses Hogan....
I like "Hold On"
but his that most people recognize is "The Battle of Jericho"

I'm doing that one this year and I don't like it much, but her other sings are really good. Liek child with a starry crayon, it's all about this little boy who goes and sits on the moon and draws in teh stars each night. Challenging and very rewarding in the end.
