((you should know the rules by people))  Zira prowled the long grass feilds in her territory. She fur's color hiding her in the fall's golden grass. It was the first time she had been alone in awhile and though she hadnt thought much of it before she truly hated it. She wanted to be with Rahu again she had been with him so long that she could even smell him on herself. Which was comforting and at the same time only made her miss him even more. Her red and yellow eyes scanned the area for intruders she hadnt had time to gaurd her home with Rahu around so she was catching up on it now. She had already chased off a bear and one soquilli she had met on an unfriendly bases once before.

She thought herself lucky to have the green colors and brown coat on her--she blended in fairly well. Rahu had told her he'd be around this area, but he'd also forewarned her of Zira, this mare that he had been hanging around with lately. Sharp golden eyes scanned the area for any signs of an agressive looking mare, but finding none, she carefully made her way into the area. She was thinking of paying Rahu a quick visit since there was something she wanted to tell him (of course, she was being forced to since Mocha wasn't able to actually come and do it herself... her niece was so strange.)

Zira stopped in her tracks and lowered her head twiching her ears as she heard a sound near by. She hoped it was Rahu so she snuck towards the sound only to find a mare. She growled slightly flicking her tail she crept closer.
"What are you doing in my territory?" Zira growled her red and yellow eyes glaring with a glow through the grass at Aruna.

Already disliking this mare that had suddenly appeared, she gave a retort. "Who said this was your territory? I don't see anything that says it's yours." As soon as she finished speaking, it clicked that this mare must be Zira... her scent certainly matched the scent that had lingered on Rahu, and she narrowed her eyes. Well, well. So we meet, Zira. She didn't like this situation. Not at all. But it was also proving very entertaining...

Zira prowled out of the grasses so she stood before Aruna. Zira's eyes glowed as she stared at Aruna her body moving more like a cat ready to pounce then that of a mare.
"Who said it wasnt. This is my home and you are not welcome here."
Zira knew nothing of this mare and did not like the look she was being given. Zira bared her teeth they were abit sharper then most soquilli teeth but not like that of a kalona.
"So leave before I make you."

"It's a wonder he has feelings for you," Aruna said wryly, looking Zira up and down with hardly a show of fear. "Your home? Heh, whatever. A mare's free to wander as she pleases in Epona's world. You must be Zira," she sneered, smirking. "If you don't mind, I have a bit of business with your so-called "boyfriend", who should be in the area around here, unless he hasn't come by yet..." She wrinkled her nose. "You stink of his scent, anyway." She wasn't about to introduce herself--not yet. She wanted to see if Zira would figure out that she was the mare Rahu had known and loved before, and then she would give her name. Otherwise, she wouldn't say so much as a hint besides what she already said.

Zira twisted her ears in a weird manner and raised a brow at Aruna's words. She came out of her agressive pose and eyed the strange mare.
Normaly she would have replied with a fight, but seeing as this mare knew her name she was now interested. Now it wasnt that Zira was stupid but she was new to love and its slang. She had never heard the term boy-friend so she was thrown off by this.
"Boy-friend?..." Zira took this to mean friend's that are boys and she had lots of thoses it wasnt till the mare talking about a scent did she releaze whom the mare was talking about. She thought about the first sentence the mare said again who ever this was he didnt mind talking to her.
Starting to realize what was going on she gave Aruna a puzzled and yet grummpy look.
"It seems you know my name. Which means your close to Rahu.So whom might you be?"

Aruna was a mare who loved the bickerings of a verbal fight, but she treaded lightly with Zira. She doubted this mare took anything that was not serious, and observed the other mare carefully. "Seems I've caught you off guard. Careful there--if you're still new, I hope you're moving slowly," she said, half sarcastic and half sympathetic. "Yes, I'm a close friend of Rahu's--I'm called Aruna." So Zira was still new to the term "love" and all its meanings, including the slang. Interesting. But at least the mare had yet to attack, but she was careful to keep her guard up. "No, not boy friend as in friends that are boys, boyfriend meaning a male that's intimate with you." Speaking bluntly, she pawed the ground with her hoof. "Of course, don't tell Rahu I told you that, he'd kill me," she half-joked. She wondered just how far she could take Zira in the ways of a conversation before the mare understood her hidden meanings. Zira was by no means an idiotic mare, no; but she figured with the way she spoke it could be a little confusing, at any rate.

"I do beleave regaurdless of whom you are, you need to get your muzzle out of my affairs. Rather its moving slow or fast is none of your matter." Zira growled slightly not like this mare's way of going about things.
Who would have such a gaul to speak that way to her after only first meeting her. Then it clicked this must be the mare that Rahu once loved and yet she knew of Zira? That means Rahu was still spending time with her, but why? Zira's worries only seemed confirmed in her mind, the reason Rahu was having problems getting close to Zira was because he still loved this Aruna. Zira felt abit depressed now thinking she should have know better. What stallion would want to be with her she was an ugly mare that should just be alone.
"Your her aren't you? The one he doesnt want to talk about?" Zira stared into Aruna's eyes trying to read her, but ut seemed abit hard at the moment.

Impassiveness was her specialty, but judging from Zira's actions, the mare really did love Rahu. Aruna wasn't quite sure she approved of a territorial like mare for him, and as far as she was concerned, Zira probably also thought that looks had to do with it as well. She snorted suddenly, looking angry. "I'll keep my muzzle out of your affairs as I see fit. From what I see, I need to stick it in to your affairs... but first, I need a promise from you." She smiled slightly when Zira ask her the last few questions. "Yes, I am. We hardly talk about each other, since we were deeply in love... but I won't say anything else. It's his affair whether he feels to tell you about his past or not. He's known you longer, anyway." Golden irises watched the sharp, cat-like orbs of the mare in front of her, and she grimaced. "How much do you love him, exactly?" She decided she'd help. She couldn't help that Zira had fallen in love with Rahu, and she could see why (no duh).

Zira snapped her jaw abit at the first thing Aruna said. She wanted to chase Aruna off but something wasnt letting her.
"What makes you think you have the to say anything like that. You dont have any right to my affairs. I dont care who you are to Rahu, I dont know you so back off." Zira growled she was like Rahu abit. While she was easier to talk then he was she was, she didnt like having to talk about personal things with this mare.
"A promise of what? I owe nor promise you Ill do anything for you."
She snorted abit as Aruna admited that she was Rahu's past love.
Zira growled abit and stomps her back hoof.
"Yet again what is it to you? Rather I just fancy him or have promised to stay by his side forever or as long as he wants me there, it is nothing for you to know. So get your muzzle out of this before I take it out for you."

Her narrowed eyes made her golden orbs shine uncharacteristically sharp. "So, that's how it is? I definitely disapprove of this." Although Aruna never usually stuck her nose into others' affairs (actually, she preferred to stay out of them as much as possible), this mare... this Zira... was beginning to grate her nerves. "You can't run me off, you rat. Nothing you say, nothing you do, can scare me. I hardly care about your personal affairs, it's my friend Rahu I care about. You can flirt with him all you want, maybe even make that so-called promise of yours to stay by his side at all times, but if you think you're going to tell me what to do, you're telling the wrong mare."
She tossed her mane, stomping a hoof into the ground and pawing at it. "I'm sure you can scare off any others on "your" territory, but do you seriously think I'll run off because you think you're intimidating? Excuse me, but I've met far more frightening Soquilis." She was wrong, then. Zira really didn't love Rahu--not if she acted this rude. Perhaps she was insecure--what kind of an excuse was that, though? She herself knew many who were insecure, but if they were this violent, she'd have clearly remembered. She didn't like this situation one bit--but she was going to fight if she had to. She produced a soft snarl of warning. No one crossed her path without a fight, verbal or physical, and she was going to make sure Zira knew.

"Rat??!!!Rat!! Listen to me you hag What happens between Rahu and I is our matter. If he chooses to talk to you about it he bloodly well can, but I dont have to tell a pice of crap like you anything. You will leave my home if I have to drag you out of it, Ive gotten far stronger than you to leave.
You pampered lush land crap of a mare. Never trust your eyes you foolish idiotic mare!!!" She wasnt really thinking at this point her mind clouded by anger. Zira snorted and bared her teeth before quickly vanishing into the grasses around them. Not making a sound with her more lion like ways she quickly snuck around behind Aruna and started to pounce an attack from behind.

Rahu gave a toss of his head as he came to Zira's terriorty knowign she would be around. snorting he found it odd he not only found Zira's scent of Aruna's also. taking off at a run it wasn't long til he came to where he saw Zira disapear into the grass and Aruna standing there. " just great." he growled out to himself as he saw Zira just then pounce at her from behind. bolting inbetween them and himself geting pounce on, so he fell over onto the ground. " what the hell is going on here and both of you better explain yourselfs." growling a bit at both, he had not expected this to happen.

Aruna narrowed eyes were mere slits now as she watched the lion-like mare vanish into the grass. She snorted, not moving. She hardly cared if she got hurt, but she was quite fed up with this brute of a creature. "Vanish as you wish, you coward! Real mares don't hide in the grass!" Just as suddenly, she heard the sound of hooves, followed by the waft of Rahu's scent, and finally, the sound of colliding bodies. She whirled around, and nearly gaped at the sight before. Rahu lay upon the ground with Zira, both looking slightly addled, but she was more stunned to suddenly see Rahu appear out of nowhere.
"Rahu...!" she said breathily. She hadn't expected to meet him like this, much less when she was in a verbal and physical fight at that, with Zira. "I came here to tell you some news because I wouldn't have found you otherwise," she said just as easily, calm as ever. "But this mare--Zira (she sneered nastily at the grounded mare)--appeared, and I assume she's a bit more of a brutish rat than anything else." Now, Aruna was ever hardly this cruel and nasty with her words--rather, she usually found intelligeble ways to counterattack and confuse her opponents, but she had been riled up so much she was ready to snap at anything--but mainly, the pale tan mare in front of her. She bared her own teeth as Zira did, and produced a soft growl.
