The sky was dark and littered with stars like the bottom of a river bed scattered with stones. The moon was gone tonight, clouded by its phases, leaving only the stars in the distance to shine down and make the sea of grass a dark green and blue. And yet someone was still moving around at this time at night. In fact, she seemed rather content to be up and about under the glittering sky.
Bathsheba was a vision of silver and lavender as she loped smoothly through the grass. Though she had wings and wore them openly she chose not to fly tonight. It seemed more enjoyable to walk in the cool air of the evening. It was relaxing...and that definately wasn't something she got to do often. She smiled slightly, letting her bright lavender eyes slide ot the sky above.

Stars. They were everywhere. K'Anatak had heard stories, that some great kings of the past rested upon the night sky as the glittering stars everyone saw. That great lions and gods were among them, he wondered if any were that of his father. The white god had never known his father, he was still searching for a sign of him while staying out of the way fo his brother.
The night was tearing on, minutes seeming like hours, but K'Anatak liked it. It gave him a chance to reflect upon himself, perhaps try to manipulate his aura into swirls; he was trying to get better at it, yet he had not the patience. It seems like he ws still searching for answers which he could not find. He wondered if any answers would come tonight.
He felt a presense, but could not see where, they were close, and alone. Black eyes tried to seek them out in the night, but failed miserably.

The night air blew in her face, brushing back her white hair like a chime in the wind. It's cool nature countered that of the warm night and it soothed her stiff nerves. It's aid did not end there, however. It brought a sent to her, one that was unfamiliar. But there wasa taint to it she recognized. Only a diety could smell like that.
She paused, feeling the tension of control slip into her muscles. The smile on her maw smoothed to a delicate, neutral line. Her eyes harded slightly, for in all honesty she wasn't sure what to think of the idea of meeting another God or Goddess. In her vague memories of childhood she remembered meeting a few, bu ever since then she had never had such an encounter. She was unsure how to behave....or how they would act in return. So she remained where she was, still, silent and watching like a piece of ivory.

K'Anatak turned his gaze to that of behind him, his black seemingly lifeless eyes falling upon an ivory and silver figure under the night sky. His aura swelling within him, a slight hint of tension, other thoughts of those around...reflection. It was all there. Another goddess? How was he finding these to encounter with? It seemed when he thought he was going one step further, he was taking one step back to meet another....it gave him a sense of relief from what he was to be searching for.
Turning his body and just watching her for a moment, he had to get the courage to go up to her, give her a smile. Yes, perhaps that would be nice, if she was that type of goddess. Some didn't like that too much, he had seen such thigns in the past. Padding towards her slowly his wings on his forearms brushed against some of the taller plumes of grass ridden in the area.
Her form was breath taking.
"Hello miss," he said, speaking softly as if he spoke too loud it would wake another soul, "Nice night to be on a stroll yes? The stars, they are so bright tonight..." he gave her a bow, it was a trait of himself, "I'm K'Anatak, may I ask for your name?"

Bathsheba felt her muscles sooth as if cool water had been washed upon them. Here was something she understood, that she could reaction to-manners and edicutte. All were a part of what she had forced herself to learn, forced herself to become. So she relaxed ever so slightly, just enough not to be stiff. For doing so was just as bad as being openly casual. She dipped her head in a more lady-like return bow, her violet eyes meeting his steadily. "Yes, the perfect night for such. I am called Bathsheba." Since he gave no title she returned the gesture. She would not overstep the polite bounderies of a meeting.

K'Anatak watched Bathsheba for a moment, taking in the delight of how ehr name sounded, how she spoke it off her own tongue. Her name was strange, familiar, everything was familiar in the white gods mind. He had heard so many stories over the years, he wouldn't be surprised if he would eventually meet everyone in each of the stories that he had heard and he himself had told.
"The stars seem brighter tonight, are you traveling Bathsheba? I do not think our paths have crossed before this," he was curious, perhaps she was looking for someone to? Maybe, or she was looking for something else in entirety.

Sheba remained standing, her motions rather still, but in a more controled fashion. She nodded her head curtly, "No...I do not believe we have encountered one another before. And yes...I am simply making my rounds." She never stayed in one place for long unless a specific issue required her attention. She assumed it was the same with most dieties, but she supposed they could all have their own agendas. With a minute tilt of her head she questioned simply in return, "And what business brings you out here, K'Anatak?" Her voice was silky like quick silver, the proper words coming easily to her for the most part. After trying so hard to reform herself she had to say she had done fairly well.

He believed that she must've felt funny around him, even though her movements were quite fluid, she did seem a bit stiff, perhaps she was hiding a personlity under all he saw? Perhaps he could...no. He was not to reflect upon others that did not wish it so, or unless it was a dire circumstance.
"Merely searching, I still can't find the one I seek..." he sat back on his haunches, close to Bathsheba, and peered up at the stars. "I do not know where he is, either of them actually, one I seek for, the other seeks me..." he turned his black gaze to her and smiled, "But everyone has their little problems hmm?" Trying to find the one he ahd never known and trying ot stay out of the path of his brother was hard for K'Anatak, he was torn between two beings.
"Do you trave on your own Bathsheba? If its alright to ask of course," K'Anatak was always worried of offending someone else because of his stupidity, so he was usual quite careful with his words, like now.

So, he was looking for someone, was he? She assumed he was looking for reasons relating to his domain. Personal reasons seemed hard to comprehend as a reason. At least...it was as such now. Perhaps in her youth it wouldn't have been so hard. She nodded her head, letting him speak as freely as he wished without stopping him. She had no reasonable comment to make on his first bit of information. So she stated simply, "I hope you find whom you seek." And since a question had been directed her way she responsed to that as well. She offered a small smile, but it was rather distant, "Yes, I do. I find having someone to travel with would be rather complicated. Mortals do not travel as we do and other dieties have their own responsibilities."

So she traveled alone as well. Perhaps some got along on their way better in solitude then in the company of another, whether they be mortal of of the godsent to walk upon the earth. He smiled at her when she said she hoped he found who he seeked, he hoped he would find him too; before his brother would would be even better.
The speak of responsibilities flood memories of how K'Anatak was first learning to control his powers, he was better now, always wanting to help others. Perhaps Bathsheba was the same?
"Are you heading anywhere? Specific I mean..." he asked softly, looking back up at the stars. Countless times he ahd tried speaking to them, in hopes they would guide him in teh right direction he was to go, but they were stars, they never answered his calls.

Bathsheba found his question repetitive and a clear sign he really hadn't fully understood some of her previous answers. Her composure and training easily allowed her to slide the matter aside in terms of better communication. Inside she felt a slight flicker of annoyance tha was quickly swallowed by the fire of control. "No, no where in particular. I am...patroling, esentually. Seeing if there are any areas of the land in need of my attention." She remained posed where she was, keeping her eyes upon him. She had almost completely lost her ability to have a casual conversation or do anything that would be considered as such. And that included looking away from someone she spoke to.

Patrolling? Interesting, Bathsheba seemed interesting to say the least. She waas wandering too, his mind was fleeting a bit, making him rethink over what he had said and asked previously, he didn't want to annoy her. He hated being annoying to others, jsut wanted to make friends is all, making friends was how K'Anatak stayed happy within.
Besides friends, K'Anatak was lonely wandering all the time by himself.
"Well I do hope your patrolling goes well then Bathsheba, if anything comes your way I'm sure you would be able to handle it and fix anything that needed your assistance," Bathsheba seemed strong, K'Anatak could be a big mass of fluff from time to time. But he was trying to get better with his actions, help more and more every chance he got.

Loneliness. It was funny, but while Sheba wouldn't awkknowledge it, it was a feeling that followed her along where ever she went. Perhaps it was because she was like a performer, constantliy on stage and always hiding behind the mask. She was constantly in the spotlight and needing to maintain the character set for her. Being herself...it was something she had learned long ago was impossible for what she was. So she took his words like lines someone else would give as they had to, for they held some truth. She would solve whatever problems arose because it was part of her role. That was all. But such things were not brought into words. Instead she nodded her head curtly, "Yes...thank you for confidence."

"Confidence? Think nothing of it Bathsheba, for it is the truth..." he smiled at her, tail flicking to the side. He wished to see what was within her, try and see if she yearned or longed for anything, perhaps something he himself could help with. "I try to help as much as I can as well, though it is harder for me to find those that wish for my assistance...
I am the god of reflection, I help others look upon themselves, try to fill in the gaps, reflect upon who they are, what they've done, what they strive to accomplish. Some though, are hesitent towards it, when all it is it a way to help guide them...silly isn't it? Sometimes I wish I was of another realm, alas though, so it goes this way..." he smiled at her. He wished to know if there was anything he could do for her, to make her laugh and smile, to giggle even. It would be nice. Bathsheba seemed to hide something under all the courage and strength, K'Anatak wished to know what it was.

Sheba was barely able to keep a bitter look from her face, but failed to mask the taint of it from her eyes. His words were simple enough, open ended to be taken in any context one wished to see them. But she felt as if they were nipping at her heels, a prod for her in the direction of spilling forth her being and baring her heart. The foolishness ground at her nerves and she disliked it imensely.
Fill in the gaps? Reflect upon oneself? It really was the last thing she needed. And though it was only suggested underhandedly, she didn't care for it. The stability she had now had been hard to gain. She didn't need it swept away by a nosey God, no offense to him. She knew he was doing his own duty and that she respected.
"Well, I do believe it is an individual's choice in such a matter, shame or no," she murmured carefully. "Some things are better left alone."
