The mists of the lands filtered across his paws, causing his path to become disorted and merely unknown. He was wondering, a trait he oftin followed as he journyed between training and teachings with his mother. The thought made him laugh, just the knowlage that through all of his angers, somehow Nuri always got him to continue his tedious mental studies. She insisted of course, for he knew if he stopped, he would grow slow and lax, losing the invincibility he held. That much was proven in the last months alone.

He stilled a moment later, just looking out with weary eyes and wondering what parts of the graveyard he came along. The cliffs stretched high, his form in the middle of one that was a good thirty feet from a downset. It almost seemed as if he were in a whole new land, the smell of lions gone and only death crossing his senses.

"It is peaceful...almost..." His murmer echoed, a dull breeze across the mist.

It was a nice, high view from here, and he liked feeling high. something that might look like a moving rock was making its way close to the edge of the cliffs, waching the lands below with eyes that seemed to have captivated a flaming sunset in them. A tail twiched idly behind the shape, urling and uncurling in half interest, and boredom.

This lion seemed to have not much of a sense of danger, the mist could just so trick him to walk right over the edge, yet he didn't seem to gie much thought into walking so close to the cliffside. The only thing that might keep him aware, is that he could be knocked over, even if that, in itself, might be hard.

Ears twiched slightly in reaction to sound, seeming louder in the quiet. now a bit of caution got showed towards the cliff, and Ahali'Bagawa moved away from the edge, not quite fancy towards being thrown off by it. He growled quietly, partially as a warning, and partially to himself, annoyed by always seeming to find company when he didn't want it.

The mist drowned his sight lightly, but he could make out the dark shape of a young lion. He snortedand raised his head, ears foreward and waiting for any reaction. He didn't know this one, or he didn't remember it.

Turning his head sharply at the snort, Naraka blinked a moment in to the dusty fog, before a large form appeared to his vison. With a soft gape, he just starred with his rustic red eyes before his shoulders set and he let a low growl.

"Who are you and what are you doing in these lands stranger?" He asked darkly, though had no idea why he was standing up to them. Maybe it was his insanity, the sudden change in his demenor causing a bit too much bravery to sink through. Maybe he wanted to prove himself once and for all, and this lion was the main target next to the gods. Or maybe, maybe he was just an idiot, his brains gone with his control, everything having slipped away.

As the stranger spoke, the male rolled his eyes. Some little thing trying to seem brave, how wonderful.

"I've no need or desire to give you my name, so don't waste your time trying. " He growled, tail swishing. Seeing through the fog wasn't as easy, he could tell this one was probably of a dark pelt, maybe black and red, seemed to be like that.

He didn't lower himself, though, like any normal feline when in a perhaps threatening situation. He just stood there, confident on his own power. "And even if I gave my name, how would you know I'm not lying? "

A slow smirk crossed Naraka's maw at the question, his darker emotions slipping through the crumbling mask. His eyes glowed with a demented flare, the red depths burning through the mist though his form still was shrowded in the cloudy veil.

"It would not matter, because it would show you are below me, needing to lie to feel as if you have the upper hand..." with that icy statement in the air, his paws moved on their own as a speed pumped through his veins.

"Creatures don't wander through these lands unless they have a purpose..." Letting his voice die down once more, he waited to see if the other would tell such purpose.

A striped tail tuft swished with amusement. This was actually pretty funny, he was trying to look mysterious or something, wasn't he? Maybe the adolescent was going for 'big and bad', too.

"Well put, but not true. " He said with amusement, dark-red ears relaxed, neither foreward or backward. "There are advantages when no one knows who you are. " He'd never really had to lie about his name, namely, though, he hadn't ever stopped by anyone with introductions. But he knew there were advantages.

"If you want a purpouse, there is none. Quit searching for what doesn't exist, its a waste of time. " All of this was probably his way of saying 'get out of my face before I pummel you'. Then again, he could stretch his legs.

A snarl growing within the back of his throat, Naraka once more was pushed from the lack of control he now held. Claws extending and digging into the dark sands, his eyes narrowed sharply as his tail lashed behind him in swift cuts.

"Who the hell do you think you are, such a rogue has no right speaking such mockeries in a land that is not his own. You leave me no choice. Leave now or face the conciquences, for while I am away from the sands, I still hold the strengths of my pride, and you shall do well to mind your tongue less you wish for me to use my strength and tear it out."

So much for control, Naraka was offically over the edge, everything was gone over his shoulder as nothing would be left as long as he still stood.

Oh, look, kitty lost his temper. White this adolescent llooked annoyed, Ahaliwas entirely relaxed, he didn't even partially fear the younger lion(Not that Ahali is old, pretty young too). His tail swished calmly, ears perking foreward in amusement.

"A rogue's land is every land. " He said calmly, smirking. He frowned though. Yes, this one was a motoujami lion, he talked about sand and strength, wich seemed to be enough for a motoujami.

"If you speak of the motoujami, " He growled, for the first time seeming slightly annoyed. He hated his former pride, though he best thank it for his size and strength. "Then your pride was mine as well. " He snorted, lowering his head. "Consiquences are easy to overcome, and if you insist that you can tear my tongue out, I dare you to try, and face conciquenses yourself. "

He paced to the side almost instinctively, as if to block out an exit. So this 'little guy' wanted to fight.

Eyes widening just a split second at the revelation of a firekin before him, Naraka than found more flames of hatred fuel his anger. So this lion was a Finar-si follower, for only his family seemed to think ill of the goddess. A roar spurring from his being instead of the insinuations, it was possible that he could have saved himself, had he just spoken instead of struck.

And so, in one quick agile movement, his legs sprung back before pushing off as he ran towards the elder. His vision was read, just a bloody as his eyes, and all he could do was feel the need for blood, for redemption to prove just how strong he was at last. With that last drive, he pushed off and snarled in his pounce, aiming to bring down anything from the quite large lion. Though Naraka was not small, he knew his disadvantages, though threw them away with the last step he took.

The lion grinned. How neat, he'd stretch his legs after all. Instead of making any move to attempt and dodge the pounce from the younger lion, he merely bunched up his hind paws. This was a good strike opportunity, he'd learned.

When Naraka was in the air, he lunged, large front paws extended, and they colided. With a grin, he had sucesfully pinned the young lion down. "You're as dumb as you look, you keep giving me opportunities. " He sid cooly. But he felt a sting on his right shoulder, and without needing to look he knew Naraka had at least gotten one strike.

He let his claws slide out from his pads, flexing them against the lions shoulder. Unfortunately, though, having someone under you pretty much gave them a clear shot at your belly.

As soon as he saw the other move, Naraka realized his mistake and once more cursed how much he relied on his brother. While he had his wits, he had little physical strength beside the average firekin advantage, whereas most were much stronger. Little good it would do against a full-grown Firekin adult.

Slammed to the ground with a force of about three adults, Naraka let out a sharp whoosh of air, his eyes blinking in a daze before snapping to attention as pain pushed down on his shoulders. He failed to hear what the other said, but instead grew frantic as the situation turned for the worst. And so he begun to flail with his hind legs, trying his hardest to throw the other off so they would be even again, or as even as he could make it.

What a encouraging reaction. The lion smirked, but his ears folded back again as he felt claws score at his hind legs and underbelly. He growled, gripping any skin he could in his paws as if he wanted to squeeze the young lion with his claws, ducking and launching off as to not receive free scores, though trying to make sure that the loss of a good position didn't go with a few mere scrapes on the shoulder.

Hre landed on the ground, only slightly crouched, head low. He would wait for Naraka to get up. Besides, fights weren't very fun if you just swiped while the opponent was on his back. That did remind him of Uzulu, though. elping and pawing and flailing, it hadn't been so bad; but he hadn't been doing it so much for fun that time.

Upon feeling the other move off of him, Naraka was suddenly able to breath again, and with that he rolled over to his belly. His right shoulder screamed with pain, the feeling causing his mind to reel as he stole a quick glance. Already, blood oozed up his dark pelt, a painful reminder that this was not some sort of game, this was a war. Pushing the pain behind him for now, he tried not to think of the life-long injury that could result.

And so he pushed shakily to a stand, glaring back the adult with a flash of ivory fangs. As long as he could get something in, Naraka wouldn't mind a loss of his life, he would at least end this honorfully, even if the start was one of ignorance.

"What, that all you've got? A few bats of the paws?"
PostPosted: Thu Nov 16, 2006 3:53 pm

"A 'few bats of paws' were enough to get you on the ground and bleeding, " He said with amusement. "If you say they're just that, than you're weaker than I thought. "

The launched himself foreward with a roar, giving barely any pause between his talking and his attacking; if anyone would try and listen, that would get they're guard down. He swiped a paw at the side of the adolescents face, his back paws supporting him while he lifted off his front side, jaws parted revealing his teeth.

His eyes setting into a deep glare, he lowered his head a bit at the words, though was smart enough this time to heed them and ready for the strike. Thankfully he saw it coming, and thus prevented a much more serious injury from occuring.

With a quick duck, all that was hit was his face, and the force was acompanied by his roll over to the right side. Ignoring the pain in his right eye, for it was only skin wounds and thankfully not blinding yet, he just moved to attempt to sink his teeth in the thick hindleg of Ahali.

While the battle was very much over, he still fought until the end, getting any hit he could to prove his worth.
