Gaurdian 1 Welcome to life in space
Over View and a bit of human history
Gaurdian 1 is the centerpoint of the Great Alliance. Thousands of races have delegations and residents upon Gaurdian one making it the most unique and culturally diverse place in the known galaxy. Everyone has their roll in the Great Alliance, even humans. Among with several other popular races, humans have become reputed at their abilities to keep things running. They are often awarded contracts and hired for colonization jobs. It is humans that keep the Space Station Gaurdian 1 running.
Over 400 years ago, when man first started serious space exploration, they also discovered Space Madness...the hard way. An entire section of the Space Exploration Company (which no longer exists) that was in deep space for far too long went mad. Those who were not gone mad, or could not be brainwashed by those who did, were used for genetic experiments. The theory was to make the perfect warriors. The only problem was the test subjects were still of a free mind, once so many were about they began a rebellion. As the war grew both interests of the rest of the human race and another nearby race was drawn. When the human race joined the Alliance, these geneticly created peoples were recognized as a subspecies and have thier own contract with the Alliance.
Seventy five years ago there was a great explosion. No one knows what it was or how it happened, but the centerpoint of the catastraphy was Earth. All but three human colonized planets were destroyed. The energy wave that was released caused all engines and generators made in the fashion that humans knew to seize up and freeze. The space station only survived because of two individuals. One was a strange woman who appeared in the main engine core. She hovered there until the generators began to work again. No one knows how she did it, but it whatever she did worked. The generators need amazingly less mantience now as well. AS she did this, the man, once thought her human counterpart, turned into a massive creature that could only be called dragon from ancient legends. He hovered in the central greens that surround the main generators and created air until the generators could work again. And as they started back up he settled down in the middle of the greens, surrounded by trees and slept. The woman joined him, curling up into his side and shared his deep slumber. Around them a shrine has been erected to celebrate the wonderful creature that hid as human. Because of their reputation and faithful work with the Alliance, the human race as a whole changed status in the Alliance from Member to Protectorate. Less than six billion humans remained as a whole, that included everyone on the three planets and those who reside on the spacestation. Yet life continues. In the time since, using Gaurdian 1 as a centerpoint, the human race, lead by diplomats, have begun to colonize again. They must co-exist with other races for that type of planet is always in demand.
In the last seventy five years things ahve been changing. Magic has been appearing. Not that it did not exist, just in hiding. Magical or mythical creatures that once were fairy tales are appearing as well as this odd force. Even some humans in secret are learning magic. It brings both an interesting and dnagerous level to the world.
Discription and Layout
The space station is built like a star, and is nearly the size of a small planet. Infact in the very center is the main generators, which also serves as a small sun for agerculter and hydroponics. It is surrounded by a massive green area that is both for food and relaxtion. There is even a small lake with it. Surrounding this central core is 100 stories of balcony/verenda areas that over look it. Lots of space for that important sun exposure. These areas are mainly comerical; restaurants, shops, and hotels. The lower and closer to the greens the more fancy and expensive it gets. Most of this is human run and occupied. They are one of the very few races that need sunlight to survive.
Moving south and north the businesses turn into residencial areas. East and west lead into the docks. Above and below these areas are non-human areas. Both lighting and air are different for different races, thus it becomes impossible for humans to travel in these areas. The docks bring in thousands of ships a day, loading unloading as well as passenger services. The central control for the docks is rated among the top of its kind. Few if any accidents have been reported in fifteen years. The dock workers and pilots have their own sort of residence on the outskirts of the docks. between them and the rest of the residencys are a row of small comerce and bars. This is the lowest end of life on Gaurdian 1. And had there nto been an accidental fire when Gaurdian 1 was in its infancy, that killed almost everyone on the docks, there wouldn't even be a commerce area now.
Looking from the outside it is hard to tell which parts are human occupied. The star shaped station is in constant rotation. Only the knowing know to look for the docks and think a straight line around from there. All the peaks that point out are residencys or commercial areas. (industrial areas do not exist on the space station)
Traveling
Traveling within the space station is easy, but time consuming. For point areas there are elevator like shuttles. And in the greens there are hovercraft like vechiles that men run which are just known as cabs. Outside the station there are regular shuttles to the nearest human planet Bestiv 4. Otherwise it is also time consuming to travel, and travel agents work long hours to make connections. Most shuttles also provide sleeping areas for those who get space sick.

Organizations and Ruling Parties
Alliance The alliance is the biggest employer for the human race. They hire for four different groups. the first is operation and mantience of the space station. Second is for exploration and research away from the station. third is research. and last is intelligence. the alliance has an amazingly well run operation that always seems to know what is going on. ninety percent of the time they are there and out before anyone knows they've drawn alliance attentions. the two names that draw attention to this group is Sicari and Forrester. They are families of top agents that recruit within themselves, as well as seem to be rivals.
Telecenter The telepaths of several races have pooled together to agree upon conduct, careers, and directions they want people of this tallent to go. The offer training, jobs, and full support for anyone of the skill. They are known as councillers and diplomats. No one really fears them, because going against their code will involk horrible punishments. (not this is only telepaths with a couple of empaths. telekentics hide their tallents)
Underworld There is a strong underworld operating out of the dock area. the controling factors here are general grouped into mafia like families. aliens are not part of this world, and are not trusted. mercenaries and other unlawful professionals are either part of a family or freelance. Freelancers are generally out for making names for themselves instead of taking advantage of eachother and the black market.
Gaurdians This is a small group santioned by the Alliance, and to a point is an alliance organization. They recruit people with special gifts and powers. Their goal is to find other people with gifts and powers and make sure those people are not a threat. They are a non agency. Few ever hear of them, and if do are in rumors and urban myths. (think men in black)
Notable Persons (NPCs)
Devil Forrester Feared head of the Forrester family. He was born to a woman deformed and through an experimental accident ended up melded with an alien's body. Acastians (insectoid) to be exact. He looks normal unless you look at his eyes. under his coat he hides an extra set of arms, they are small and meant for grappling. otherwise he appears normal. He is not a bad guy, more determined to care for his family and the alliance.
Chantel Sicari Potential more feared than Devil Forrester, she is know as the disposal unit. Highly intelligent and able to don any disguise with expertiese she can come and go anywheres. She appears in serious situations that seem to have no solutions. She creates solutions, and rarely the ones hoped for. It is rumored that she has no human superior, and answers only to the Astwacats, the military gaurdians and creators of the Alliance. If she shows up, the situation is too serious to be left alone.
Julia Forrester Married to Devil she is reputed to be the most powerful telepath known. No one seems to know what she cannot do. She helped create Telecenter, and is the head director. She is reputed to know everything, but says little to nothing.
Sara Collins She is the reason Telekentics do not come forward. As a child there was a shuttle accident. Everyone but herself was killed, she only survived because of her kenetic gift. Growing up she went from foster home to foster home, and practically lived in the research labs. Poked and proded most of ehr life. She does not need to walk, she could float if she chose. Her powers have been proven when during an exercise a military ship accidentally fired on a shuttle. She not only froze every ship in the area, as well as the missiles, but she moved them around appropriately. Often wearing sunglasses, her eyes are blood red, ther eare no pupils to them. She is basically nearly blind, and uses ehr kenitic abilities to move about. Her purpose on the station is mainly research and schooling.
Lacy, aka the Operator If you know the secret code, which can be dialed anywhere in any known world, you will ring the operator. This friendly voice who answers to the name Lacy is the best contact for the black market. People often go through the operator to buy and sell anything. She knows where and when jobs are going on, as well as stock market information on all known planets. If the Operator doesn't know, it most likely is not to be known anywheres. No one has ever been able to track down where Lacy is. Rumors are that she is based either on Gaurdian 1 or Bestiv 4. Not even techincal genuses ahve been able to find her.
Theif A chameleon among disguisers. This young woman, who is owned by the Sydicant (sp?) family, is the leading theif known. She is always up for hire if you can find her master. Yes, she is a slave. The chameleon can get into anywheres and retreive anything. No one but her master know where she is. Outside of the family she has been industrious, making contacts and friends. Rumor is that she will one day turn on her masters.
The Shadow Theif's main rival. These two make up 48% of the current high level thefts. The main difference is that the shadow screens jobs. The shadow will not take any job that is related to war or could lead to genocide. Which is not an unknown concept in the underworld. The shadow is reputed to be someone who does this for fun, not for money.
Kalli She is an upstanding business woman. She is the one who created a chain of shops called the Healing Pot. Run by donations and private sponsors, it offers free services to the population. Mainly dealing with healing and potions. They will refer serious cases to doctors, but remain a safe and free alternative to pharmacies. She owns and operates it from an office in the commerce area. for those very few who know, she is a unicorn. further she is the fabled black unicorn. her green eyes are slightly crest with red. Should they ever become totally red, she would turn evil and become a distructive creature that evend ragons fear.
Races
There are only two races that actually interact among humans. Astwacats and Wilchians. Astwacats look like large wild cats from earth, hense their names. their language is a mixture of clicking and growling that cannot be understood. They carry translators that are hidden under the thick fur. It is clear they prefer cold weather and must often rest when in room tempertures. It is rare to see them, and those that do either don't survive or refuse to talk about it. The other race is Wilchians. These misformed and underweight humanoids are complete telepaths and telekenetics. Whatever their reasons, no one argues. They are even more rare to see than Astwacats. Needless to say, a human could go their entire lives even on Gaurdian 1 without seeing an alien.
Genetic subspeices Helios, large men and women with heavy metal wings. They are the military, police and armed forces. Anglos, smaller than their cousins, their wings are white and feathered. They are diplomats and musicians. Only a few exist after the Great Explosion. their homeworld had been destroyed, so they often are found with Helios. Theriods, men and woman who have animal characteristics. they are almost everywhere, and are an accepted part of life.
Werecreatures. Recently they presented themselves to the Alliance with a bid to have a seperate contract from the human race. This was in responce to the Government of Bestiv 4 and thier activities. Having discovered a way to identify werecreatures from others, they began an exercise in genocide. Most all known Werecreatures where wiped out before the bid. Those that do survive are far and few between. They are now known as an offical subspeicies.
Dragons and Unicorns. Both hide among the human race, and as of yet have not said anything to anyone. Rumors of dragons existing have been runing around for 75 years, ever since the great rust dragon appeared to save the lives of those on Gaurdian 1. No other dragon has ever come forward. They do exist, masking themselves as humans. They hold various territories. On gaurdian 1, Masta, the great sleeping rust dragon holds all of the station but the docks. The docks belong to Saris who is currently on Bestiv 4. He left after surviving the dock disaster. Unicorns also exist but are extremely rare. for eveyr billion people there are two. a herd of seven exist in secret ont he station. Six white and one black.

Name: Jessie O'Connell Race Human Age 21 Appearance: She is tall at 5;9', with long brown hair. She wears a regulation jumper that everyone else does. Proffession: Dock Controll Operator (that pretty voice you hear when trying to dock) History: her family comes from Alpha Centuri, which was destroyed when earth bought it. On a trip to migrate to the STation, her family was killed in a raid. She survived and went to university. Besides her love for music there is little remarkable about her. As most of her work deals with pilots and merchants, she spends her free time hanging out with them. Weapons/skills/abilities: As regular citizens are not suppose to, she does not carry a gun. Her remarkable tallent at organization has her one of the top officials in Dock Controlls, her job being to keep ships organized for docking proceedures. She is a very charming person and generally knows every romur going about. Purpose She is a listener. She hears most everything going on, and is trusted by most. Her only purpkose is to keep things organized, and contemplate quiting on her boss.

Green eyes in a small face with a small red jewel in the center of her forhead, she often wears a sweatband to hide it. History Once royalty on a destroyed world, seh joined the Alliance Pilot's Guild as a fighter pilot to fight the aliens that destroyed her world. With that fight over she is now based on the station as peacekeeping fighter ship (which she finds very ironic) Weapons/skills/abilities She is trained with most basic handguns, and is extremely skilled at dogfighting. To a small level she is able to harness fire magic, but not very well. Only when the Phenoix possesses her does that change. Purpose She is a fighter. She lives on the edge of life and death, legal and illegal. Using her ship she is able to keep track of blackmarket moves and is paid 'Insurance" to make sure they stay safe. No one really knows where she stands most of the time.

He ussually garbs himself in a stiff leather vest, and loose trousers tucked into shin-high combat boots. His clothing ussually sports vibrant colors, as if to make up for the lack in his fur.
History: Vaisk is well known as a hard worker, diligent in his duties and steadfast in his cause. But he is almost better known as a wicked practical joker. Almost anything that goes wrong is half-heartedly blamed on him. And he'll never differenciate to which mischiefs he actually comitted, and which he didn't...
Weapons/skills/abilities: Agile and nimble from his cat-ish heritage, Vaisk sports a set of glaives as his weapons of choice. More proficient with one than with two he carries around the double for both a spare and for intimidation. He is also decently accurate with a pistol.

Appearance: 6'7", 210 lbs., Short black hair. Large build. Wingspan 8 feet tip to tip extended. Usually wearing his police uniform.
Profession: A sergent in the Gaurdian 1's police force.
History: Hayat is nothing special. An average man who was raised to play his role as a police/military worker. He is strong indeed though, and is known to handle the tougher assignments for his superiors.
Weapons/skills/abilities: He carries and is an expert in all standard police weaponry. And he uses his metal wings as sheilds from most ballistic weapons. He is also a highly professional hand-to-hand combatant. But also excels as one of the top police pilots, though he tends not to fly to offen cause he prefers to use his strength for street work.
Purpose: He is an avid policeman. He carries his duties out to the end with high success. Though he also sticks to more honest principles that he has. He is a fighter, a protector.
Name :Ookaru
Race :Theriod
Age :19
Appearance :6'3,Long silver hair,silver wolf ears,and amber eyes
History :Ookaru,son of one of the strongest of theriods,was treated like a king but it seemed he didnt like the attention,so he stole the legendary sword,Sou'unga(so-oon-guh),and ran away from his kingdom
Weapons/skills/abilities :Sou'unga's "Gokryuuha" is a giant tornado of helletic energy,giving it a purplish color.A very destructive attack.
Purpose :His intentions are unclear as of yet

Vaisk wandered the room, looking for an open chair, It had been a bit of a long day, After a moment he spotted a seat near a young woman purposfully exuding the aura 'leave me alone'. And, unable to resist, Vaisk sat next to her, he ordered a drink to clear his parched throat and then turned to his new drinking partner with a brilliant grin. "How's life treatin' ya?"

Vaisk had to suppress a grin, new prey! he thought to himself as he eased himself away from the bar, dropping a few coins and lithely followed his newest victim, "Yeah this bar's a bit crowded," he muttered to the girl as he reached her side, "Would you care to go someplace else? I know a place down the way that has the best drinks you could ever wish for!" He smiled at her, showing just a little of his fangs, "My treat."

He purred, still smiling infuriatingly, "And you only think you want to be alone because you haven't experienced my company yet." He padded along next to her, easily matching her stride. The few people who glanced at the two of them gave her a pitying look when they realized who her companion was.
