According to the definitions I was given, shounen-ai is just softer, whereas yaoi is a little more explicit; times may have changed and those definitions may be out of use, but, hey.
For the record, I usually just read shounen-ai unless I'm in the mood for yaoi. I like cute, sweet, soft stories. heart

I like both, but it depends on my mood whether I'll watch/read yaoi or shounen-ai. Most of the time I prefer watching/reading shounen-ai, but I read/watch yaoi often too.

Both are too awesome to compare to each other. But if I could only read one, I'd prolly pick shonen-ai. I like some storyline with mah smex, you know? xd
