Dan arrives in Boston to see his aunt, and cousins. He goes over to them and they head to his aunt's house. he didn't say anything from the time they left the airport heading back to his aunt's house.

a year has passed since Dan arrived in Boston and he liked being on the east coast. He is going to UMASS. He hasn't fought a demon in the year that he was there. He knew he had to go back to San Fran but he really didn't wanna go back.

Jen dialed Dan's cell phone number and waited for him to answer, hoping she didn't get the answering machine for him as well.

Dan's voicemail picked up since he was in class and his phone was in his room.

She sighed. "Hey Dan. It's Jen. I'm just calling to see what you've been up to. I know it's been a while, sorry I've been kind of busy with SATs and everything. Give me a call back when you get this. Ok. Bye." She said, hanging up afterward.

after his classes he went back to his room and seen a voicemail from jen. he decided to call her back.

"Hey Dan." She said, shortly. "Yea, I called to see how you've been. I know it's been a while since I talked to you, nearly a year. I wanted to know how you were and what you were up to." She said, awkwardly.

"Well i'm in college and i've been working in a print shop. if you are wondering I haven't come up against any demons since I haven't used magic for about 10 months now." he said sitting on his couch. "as for coming back to San Fran I don't know if I am."

"That's about the same senario, hey how did you know I was in San Francisco?" She asked, calmly. "And have you talked to Matt recently, I called but he wasn't around, and I'm getting the feeling that something is wrong." She said, shortly.

"i didn't. I knew you were gonna go back. No i didn't talk to Matt, i haven't talked to him since I left last year. Right now something can be wrong and it won't bother me, i've stayed away from magic for close to a year, I don't plan on getting back into it." he said propping his feet up on the coffee table.

"Good for you." She said with a small smile. "So, are you happy?" She asked, calmly. She wasn't necessarily happy for him, but she could at least be supportive, it wasn't like she hadn't had her fair share of dates, between the time she'd ended their relationship, but it was awkward.
