Me and my girlfriend are getting married in december. Is it wrong for us to have sex? We had sex before we got saved. Now that we are, I'm not sure if its wrong. I mean we are engaged. We have been together for years. Help.

I think if you have sex before you get married but you dont know God then it is all right but if you have sex before you get married and you are saved then you should of know not to do it because the bible tells us not to but if you get married then have sex then that is the best wayt o go.

I don't think it's right, even if you don't know God. Jesus intended on us to wait for marraige, and even if you don't believe in God, you can still have your own morals and have the satisfaction of knowing that you waited for your perfect someone. So even though you're getting married soon...I'd wait until AFTER you got married.

digital dino Any sex outside of marriage is a no-go. Yes, despite the fact that you have already had sex, and are getting married. I know it seems hard, but abstance (sp?) is good. You as a couple will have to get together and discuss it, and hopefully if you decide the right thing you'll decide to not have sex again untill your married, but you as a couple will have to decide that and work together to stay pure from now on.Ill keep you in my prayers.

It's wrong that you did it before you got engaged. Saved or not, you just don't have sex before you're married.
I know a saved girl who had sex with a (saved) guy, he left her when he found out she was pregnant. It could go the same way with the guy, the woman can leave you if she found out you had STDs.
I don't care if you're getting engaged or not, you want to be safe. In the Bible it says it is wrong to sleep with someone before you get married. But another thing is, I'm not the one who's going to be judging everyone and asking why they did what they did like God.

Well, if you intend to be married soon, then I think you can wait. I think that unless you want kids, then you can have sex, but if you do it before the bond is sealed, then you really should wait. Why is sex so great anyways?

If you've had sex, you're married already. Marriage is between two people who decide to stay faithful to each other for life.
Or is there a passage in the bible accurately describing the ceremony of marriage?

Regardless, as other have said it is wrong to have sex outside of marriage. And if you can't wait then I suggest that we pray for anyone that feels that way. Like it says in the bible, If we serve God He will provide for us. If we follow His will and plan for our lives, he will supply any need we have. Read the lyics for Average Girl by Barlowgirl, it has really changed my view.

Back when the marriage laws where written marriage was a very different process.... any way if u want more info on this pm me... any way part of that was in divorce being a very uncommon thing.... this is why sex was for marriage..... it was a permanent thing.... but even though marriage is different now sex outside of marriage is still wrong

I, personally, think it is fine. If you both love each other and are completely dedicated to each other and remain faithful before and after you get married I don't think that there is any problem. But that's just my opinion and I'm sure I'm going to get flamed to the max for that. lol.

well, heres honestly what i know, and what is in the bible...
1. How do you think Adam and Eve got married? when you have sex, that is you getting married in Gods eyes. a piece of paper is in our modern society what matters. But God says in Ephesians and MArk & MAtthew, that you should not have sex before you are married.
2. All sin is equal. There is no huge sin or small sin. So you killing someone, or having sex is just as bad as a little white lie in Gods eyes. No, it wasnot rite for yall to have sex, but when you got saved, those sins were forgiven and washed away. before i was saved, i smoked cigerettes, when i got saved, i knew it was wrong and i stopped. Tell me the difference in Gods eyes?
---The point is, yes, its wrong, abd your past can be forgiven. But God does say its wrong. So if yall are engaged, then honestly, please wait. God wants us to be pure. Talk to your girlfriend, and trust me, wait. its okay after your married. But see, when you had sex the first time, and you got saved, God forgave yall. if you know something is wrong, or you have this feeling inside that says, 'maybe i should not do this' thats God saying NO.
