Here's the thread to discuss AC/DC's geordie singer.

Brian is underrated in my opinion.Though I'm a much bigger Bon fan,Brian kept the band going through good and bad times. They've had their classics with him,and the spirit of Bon can still be heard in a few of the newer tracks.

Brian Johnson is the single reason why AC/DC is still going good. I have the new Back In Black album and I read the little booklet and the guy who wrote the article wrote that when Bon died the band was dead and they were so sad that Bon was gone. Then a few days after that Malcom was like, I'm ******** tired of this. Let's move on! And when they were looking for another singer they were like, Who's that guy that Bon loved? And if Bon loved a guy, he had to be good because Bon didn't like everyone naturally. He had to be good. So they checked him up and thas how there's AC/DC today. ;]

That sounds about right. On the discography section of Live in Donington, Malcolm says pretty much exactly what you said above.

You couldn't really understand him. But, he sounded awsome. I could understand him.

And apparantly, at auditions for the new lead singer, Brian was one of very FEW who didn't sing 'Smoke on the Water'.

I have mad love for Brian because no other new lead singer in the history of rock could keep a band going like he has. Bon's death could have been the death of AC/DC, but somehow they managed to find the perfect guy, and they're still the rockinest thing ever. Hurray.

Also, there's a commercial on Magic105.1 right now with Brian talking about the Harley days of May. And I sqeal every time I hear it.

If you enjoyed that, you should watch their performance of 'Boogieman' on the 'No Bull' DVD.

But he says normal stuff during the Stiff Upper Lip live DVD.
