I have no idea about a FFVII remake, but I would love to get my hands on it. From what I've heard, the graphics on the original FFVII kinda sucked, so it would be great if they got the graphics similar to Kingdom Hearts II...or even better--Advent Children! That would be soooo sweet!

They are NOT remaking it. It was a tech demo for the PS3 in order to draw attention to itself and the system itself. The fact that people are still talking about it means that the advertisement scheme worked beautifully.
There is NO official remake in the works as of now, nor will there be as long as the game is readily accessible to so many people.

I wouldn't mind playing the remake if they make one. I figure I've already bought into nearly every other FFVII spinoff they've done already, why not seal the deal with a FFVII remake. Even though it seems strange to me that they would go through all the to show the power of the PS3 and leave the Final Fantasy fans hanging on a classic. Either way, we'll just have to wait (impatiently for some) and see...

I'll look to see if I can find a source for that and post here.

No, they will not (unfortuantley) be making a remake of FF7. Sqenix has no intention of it. BUt then again, why'd they show FF7. I think they knew they would get some (if not piles upon piles) fan mail asking when is the remake coming out. Why they did that I won't know, but the tech demo does look pretty. It makes Arieth look hotter

I forgot to add, you can import your PSX games to the PSP thogh later on in 2007, so you can dust off FF7 and play it on the road

Yes Soadshuyin is right, the FFVII remake was made only as a tech demo to demostrate the power of the PS3, and although it was an idea, it was scrapped and was replaced with FFXIII Vs. (Yes there is going to be 2 versions of ff13)
