There was a very interesting article in the newpaper. It even made the front page! "Hybrids Dead, Mystery Sniper?" Huh.. What could that mean? Well, according to the article, there has been a sniper that has been randomly picking off hybrids! Oh dear.. This wasn't good at all... Especially for the Hybrids that occupied the Sanctuary! O.O!

The Hybrids at the Sanctuary have decided: We need to find this Sniper and put an end to him NOW! But... Wait... Who is it? They would find out... They decided to vote on others to send to the Dungeon, where a certain incubbus named Talon would keep an eye on them. If one of them was the Sniper, HE would find out...

But they needed undercover people... An undercover spy that could give them information.. And Protectors, who could keep everyone else safe.

Index:
1. Intro Story
2. How It Works
3. Hybrid List
4. Recent Updates
5. Prizes

Also.. Please note this game is JUST FOR FUN.. It has nothing to do with the actual BMR storyline. It's just a role-playing game event!

How It Works...

First, we get all the hybrids who will be participating in the GAME in a numbered list. The Sniper, Spy, and Protectors will be chosen at random. I will tell those who have been chosen of their roles...

The game ends when either the Sniper is caught, or all the hybrids are "dead".

PLAYERS

Sniper
The Sniper will PM the Male!Nykol account at the beginning of each round with the hybrid NUMBER that they are killing. Your goal is to keep out of the Dungeon, and keep yourself from being discovered as the Sniper! (Who knows what that scary incubbus will do to you? gonk )

Spy
The Spy will PM the Male!Nykol account at the beginning of each round, asking for a clue about either the Sniper OR the Protectors. (You can't ask me WHO they are. =p They have to be questions that lead to clues!) That clue will be posted with the next update. You can ALSO ask questions about the other hybrids. (Not if they are the sniper or protectors, but other questions. Be creative!)

Protectors
The Protectors will PM the Male!Nykol account at the beginning of each round with the NUMBER of the hybrid they want to protect for the next round. BE CAREFUL THOUGH! If the hybrid you are protecting happens to be targetted by the Sniper, YOU will be killed in their place! *gasp*

All Hybrids
It's your job to figure out who the Sniper is! Trick each other, gang up on just one, come up with some tactic to figure out who the Sniper is and send him to the Dungeon! Participating hybrid OWNERS (to keep it so everyone gets one vote) will post in Male!Nykol's Journal with the NUMBER of the hybrid they will be voting off. The hybrid with the most votes goes to the DUNGEON.

ALSO NOTE:

This is actually a roleplaying event, in a way. Your hybrids must interact roleplaying style.

AND... Say you have more than one hybrid in it, and one of them is one of the 'unknown' roles (sniper, protector, spy)... Your other hybrids DO NOT KNOW. Only the hybrids that have those roles know!

User ImageBlack Jack milled about anxiously, pacing back and forth in the middle of the park, hands clasped behind his back, and eyes drawn towards the sky. A brisk, bright morning, and one in which someone would not expect to fear for their lives. However, if that same someone read the paper this morning, then that would be exactly what they were doing. Just like 'Jack. The raccoon-hybrid was pacing, back and forth, and worrying. He knew Talon didn't want to be bothered, so he was going to bother him. Pinoko was back at the house, sleeping, and he wanted to make sure the boy stayed that way. So he wouldn't go back THERE either.

+ = + = +

User ImageKire waited patiently for his twin to show up, his arms curled about his shoulders. He was frightened, and only Leve could really chase away the dreams and nightmares, or the cold shivers down his spine. But his twin hadn't shown up yet. Despite this being a warm cafe - the air was made colder with the worry the bat-hybrid felt for his beloved. Especially with the news going on around this whole sniper business. Death... He was familiar with it, yes - but... It still scared him.

+ = + = +

User ImageLohm was buried headfirst into the sand, more of the stuff being scooped behind him as he dug deeper into the soft groundcover, trying to find something he had lost around here somewhere. It was his prized medallion, and he wasn't going to be satisfied if he didn't find it. Dig, dig, dig. If there was one thing the meerkat-hybrid was good at doing, it was digging. So dig he did. And very quickly, he unearthed the medallion, and held it up to the light. That went into his pocket. And back to digging he went, bound and determined to find something else shiny for his labors.

+ = + = +

User ImagePeter bent beside the lost, hurt, and dirty little bag of meows, and scooped it up. The poor kitten had hurt its leg, and was now limping around. Peter wasn't a vet, but he WAS a doctor, and he had some idea of what to do. He sat there, and held the kitten in his lap, wondering where Jin was. Hoping to the gods, and all that was good, that his boyfriend hadn't been caught by that sniper the papers were on about. The wolf-hybrid shook himself instinctively to dispel that rather morbid mental image, and focused back on the task at hand. The kitten. After making sure it was alright in other ways, he started to wrap the paw with some fresh gauze. He'd figure out what to DO with the beast once he had it warm and treated.

+ = + = +

User ImageSol was near panic. He couldn't find his beloved Hawke anywhere. Nowhere at all! None of his usual haunts, he wasn't in bed, he wasn't in the park, and he was almost sure he wasn't in that cafe across the street. He passed by Black Jack, and inquired as to Hawke's whereabouts - but got a negative reply. 'Jack hadn't seen him. The dragon-hybrid's heart began to race, and he began to wonder just what had become of his mate. If he didn't find him soon, he was going to have to resort to calling the authorities. Something he SINCERELY didn't want to do. For... various reasons.

The Dungeon of the Sanctuary wasn't a place that Hybrids willingly went. Not only that, but it was forbidden for them to go in. It was strictly a place where they didn't go... But ever since this sniper had been picking off Hybrids, anyone that showed the slightest bit of suspicion was personally brought there by one incubbus named Talon Bane. While there weren't any hybrids in the Dungeon at that moment, there were... remains... Amongst the various cells, cages, and torture devices. And any hybrid that went in there would surely be overwhelmed by the amount of Silver that was in it. There was enough to make even the strongest hybrid run away in a panic.

And that's where the incubbus was. Reading one of those cheap romance novels that's sold in pharmacies.

***

"Sol!" Hawke called, hurrying over to his mate, the fastest that the pregnant Draconic-Kitty could hurry.. which wasn't very much. He was out of breathe about halfway to Sol and slumped against a tree, panting. Oh geez... No more running for Hawke...

***

Severus was inside the Sanctuary, curled up in his typical bowl-chair, wrapped in a thick green and black blanket and reading one of his potions books. He hadn't seen his mate Nefer in awhile.. And all these hybrids dropping dead from the crazy sniper... No.. Don't think that.. Nefer is fine... He's just.. working...

He hoped.

***

Mingan wasn't in that good of a mood. He and Jervain had had another fight, which he lost horrible. His neck was still sore from being pinned to the wall... Needless to say, while he did remain at his Master's side, he wasn't happy about it. And he let the demonic wolf know it by his sarcastic remarks and low growls.

***

Bill was worried. Very worried. He knew Regulus was at his brother's place, but still.. One couldn't help but worry about one's mate, especially when they were 1. pregnant, and 2. there was a sniper guy running around. "Please be safe..." he muttered to himself, leaning back against the bar at the Sanctuary.

Kourtney was beside the red haired wolf, lightly picking at the strings on the harp between his knees. He'd heard what had been happening... But he wasn't so sure he believed it.

***

Tia Dalma was searching..or more like raiding..the kitchen in the Sanctuary, gathering ingredients for a Voodoo spell. He muttered under his breath, stretching to try and reach the item he needed...

As a Captain, it was Jack Sparrow's prerogative to act in such a way as to set an example for the rest of the hybrid community. Therefore, in everyone's best interest, he hid. And where better to seek sanctuary than the so aptly named Sanctuary? Specifically in the kitchen, where one might hole up for quite some time without ever needing concern oneself with edibles.

It wouldn't last. He knew that, somewhere in his bones. He'd have to leave eventually, brave what dangers there were to face in the world - safety was far too confining. Then again -

The Captain balked at the entrance to the kitchen, peering with comical suspicion at the turned back of a particular witch. He could afford to be suspicious, but only so long as Tia wasn't actually looking at him... Soon as they were face to face it'd have to be all cautious, toothy grins and such like. But until then... Just something about the way Tia was that made one all extra cautious.

~*~

There just didn't seem to be anything halfway effective to do about this... this death. And it made Hermione more than a little twitchy - and he'd had plenty of other things, things that would make anyone lose their nerve thrown at him recently, thank you very much! But he'd get past that, get past finally dragging out of Jan the truth about magic, past that thoroughly aggravating brat Draco Malfoy - all of those paltry annoyances in order to find the sniper.

There were clues, you see. That there was someone sniping hybrids instead of simply leading a public revolt against them suggested that the sniper either wished for their motives to remain a secret or... well, that was the most of it. But it was significant. Someone had reason to hide, more reason than for simply being a random psychopath. And Hermione was going to find out the what and why.

To that effort he found himself in the library of the Sanctuary, hounded as ever by Valery and Benny, the former for no reason Hermione'd ever been able to discern and the latter due to that... since getting a little older, Benny had become more of the looked after than the caretaker, and the cat just felt guilty about chasing the often vexing green fox away...

Benny had never been able to figure out what it was people liked so much about books when you could get so much more from just talking to someone and having them look at you when they were talking because it wasn't just words people used to talk it was the way they made their faces all scrunchy when they were upset or stuff like that.

Scrunchy faces were everywhere at the moment, and he could really understand that and it made him really jittery - even more so than usual - because it was scary when even, you know, Valery and Moloch got all twitchy because they were all dead and stuff. It made Benny feel safer to tag along with Hermione, though, because 'mione liked books and always seemed to know more about what was going on because he'd been reading books or something like that - or maybe it was something to do with the newspaper, Benny really wasn't too sure. In any case, being with someone who could defend him (even if only by talking) was nicer than wandering around on his own with someone scary with a gun or something wandering about, so he'd just stay with 'mione - even if Valery gave him the creeps sometimes.

For his part, the ghostly gentleman known as Valery Rousseau had retreated into a significant silence, trailing the young Granger without even an attempt at explanation. A sniper... was troublesome. Irritating, really. Because not all had the will to remain post mortem, and damned if Valery was going to let certain someones fly to death beyond his reach...

Manifesting himself to proper solidification in appearance at the very least, Valery browsed the library with a grand show of distraction, allowing Granger and his tag-a-long to go about whatever business the cat had in mind. He'd keep an eye on them - well, one of them.

~*~

"No," the coyote protested, waving his hands dismissively at his companion as they wandered - or walked with certain motivation - down the street past the park, "It's no better going in pairs! You can't have safety in numbers with this kinda situation!"

"Ah~" Meridian countered with a half twirl and tip of ring-pierced cap as he grinned prettily at Maverick, "I beg to differ~ You're a much more inviting target, there's much to be gained from bringing you along~"

~*~

Miroslav could care less what happened to the others, they weren't really his... type. Or so it'd come to pass so far. No one worth his attention had cropped up so far, and the odds were anyone worth that attention wouldn't be shot down. Fate wouldn't do that to him. It liked Miroslav, because he took care of it. Therefore this business with fear, hiding, anxiety - it baffled him on some part but sickened him for all others. Most of the hybrids wouldn't even notice the change from life to death - they'd never really been alive.

Moloch knew that, which was why he now bothered to listen to the dead bunny's ravings. They made an excessively strange pair, neither bothering to hide their true selves, Miroslav in his glimmering glory and Moloch in rotting terror, seated together at an outdoor table of a cafe, an inviting target. Free of fear on either part, however, it mattered little to the two.

Then again, Moloch wasn't really sitting in his rant. "There's no rhyme or reason!" the zombie growled finally, slamming his hands down on the table, "If you're going to take drastic measures they had better be planned out - revolution's only idiocy if you're rebelling without a cause!"

"Mmm," Miroslav agreed apathetically, arms crossed over the table, not even bothering to shrug.

But it wasn't response Moloch was looking for so much as an audience, "I'm going to find that b*****d and I am going to lecture his little a** off," the zombie growled further, finally flopping into his seat, "And then I am going to ******** kill him. This is the last time someone gives the revolution a bad name, I swear..."

Tia froze the instant he sensed the presence behind him. His dark eyes narrowed slightly, annoyed that he'd been interrupted in his herb-search. Spinning around to face whom ever it was, he prepared to completely humiliate and tear-down the b*****d. He stopped, mouth open, and stared at who it was...

A mere second later, he'd regained his composure and stood up straight, brushing his dreadlocked hair from his face and smirking at the other hybrid.

"Jack.."

Rhodri leaned on a wall outside of the Sanctuary, oblivious to all but what lie in his hands; A newspaper and a magnifying glass. He held the glass against the paper and read the article slowly. "Hnph. Beautiful how no one knows who the sniper is." he growled to himself, flicking his large ears back and stretching his wings tenderly. "Not even any clues." he grumbled, sliding the magnifying glass into his pocket and folding the newspaper. He crossed his arms and squinted, scanning about the area. He was feeling quite bitter about the whole thing, partially because of the time of day, but mostly from hidden fear and paranoia.

As if inviting the other hybrid into his own house and home, Jack's arms spread wide and his head bowed slightly with that patent wide smile spread in wicked charm across his face, "Tia Dalma," he announced to the world at large in tones expansive and pleased.

And... he knew better than to ask. Because he probably didn't want to know. Either that or he wanted to know and Tia wouldn't tell him. But it was just the way things worked - "What are you up to in these dark halls, love?" he asked, sauntering forward to peer at whatever the witch had gathered.

There was an ill feeling in his stomach, well how couldn't there be one? These were dark times and it caused a heay amount of worry to rest upon him. The demon tapped his fingers across the kitchen counter, worry easily seen on his features. Where was Artemus? He hadn't heard from him and it made him uneasy. He knew his fuzzy eared love could take care of himself, but this was different. Desmond flicked his tail about nervously then leaned against the counter. Raking a hand through his hair, he also hoped that his step brothers were well also. Little Llyr was so naiive that he could barely take care of himself, but insisted that he wanted to go and do thing son his own. He'd feel responsible if anything happened to the little mouse.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Remi laid across one of the many couches in the Sanctuary, his golden hues closed as he tired to remain calm. This was bad, no word from Sandalon for a long time now and it made his imagenation run wild. There was a almost calm determination he felt, but he jsut couldn't place it. Maybe Sandalon would be of some help....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Llyr flicked his little green tail as he walked down the sidewalk, clutching his sythe in his tiny hands. Desmond had told him over and over again not to go out on his own, but staying in one place was boooring! His red hues did have a nerous quality in them, but he tried to make it seem there was nothing wrong.

Damien sighed, gently pushing his glasses up his nose where that had been previously but they seemed to slide down often, which of course, was annoying. The wolfs tail twitching, his autumn-shaded eyes glancing up everynow and then. Damien wasn't all to right with being in the Santuary with the rash event of hybrids being 'shot' off. He had been hoping that Scarlet was alright... Not really noticing that he was doodling said-thought about hybrid all over the page of his journal...

~*~

Khaldun gritted his teeth, the thought of someone killing off hybrids, espicially hybrids of HIS clan was outrageous! The lingering thought of one the hybrids having the audacity to commit a crime sent surges of anger and wrath through the alpha wolfs viens. Khal was pacing in the Sanctuary's main area, his eyes darting up every now and then, watching for anything sudden of suspicious.

~*~

A rather loud yawn escaped Kafele's mouth, his tail lazily swishing from side to side, his dark crimson eyes scanning the area in the Sanctuary for anything that would provoke his interest... But having failed for the most of his time on the couch.

~*~

Nefer's fingers figetted in his lap as his ears twitched, keeping a good radious on everything and anything around him, keeping an eye on Damien, Kafele, even Khaldun, making sure that he might let off something to the mass killings of the hybrids

Jazz poked his head out of the cafe silently. He looked to either side of him carefully, making sure there were no suspicious-looking characters around. At least, none that looked as if they were sniper-esque. Hmm.. None to the left, none to the right.. None to the left again.. With a slight nod of his head and twitch of his long, thin tail, he shuffled slowly out of the cafe. His tail curled around the handle of the door as he exitted, pulling it closed, then it flicked out in front of him and into his hands, where he played with it nervously. He looked about him again, just to make sure there wasn't anything threatening nearby. He'd read the paper that day, noting the presence of a sniper, and it just made him even more nervous and jumpy than he already was. He truly was a mouse in every aspect, although that wasn't a bad thing most of the time.

A quiet sigh escaped his lips as he started to walk slowly down the street and towards the park, a natural sway in his hips present as he did so. Every few minutes he'd look about him cautiously again, terribly nervous about the goings on. And with this, his first visit to the Sanctuary. He'd seen other hybrids around, and saw them as he walked along, but he hadn't formally met any yet. Truth be told, he was quite nervous about doing so, being the terribly self-concious little thing that he was. What if they didn't like him? What if they mocked him? He really wasn't sure whether he was ready for this or not. But, whether he liked it or not, he was soon to socialize with many other hybrids in the same position as himself; trying to find an unknown sniper with as little loss of life as soon as possible. Another small, nervous sigh escaped him as he dropped his tail, letting it hang behind him, and he began playing with his fingers instead. Oh, what was he to do?
