Okay...
So.
I've really been wanting to get this question out here for a while. I know that tons of people just go fanwankity all over the two Black Knights... but I want to know why. I mean, seriously? I don't get it. All I can say when someone says "OMG Yuber so kewl!" is: "Tch. Ya'll are so HYPE!"
So answer my question... and tell me honestly as to why you love them so much.
Also...
I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUR REASONS. IF YOU THINK PESMERGA IS AWESOME BECAUSE HE REMINDS YOU OF YOUR PET CAT FLUFFY, I DON'T CARE. BUT PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, BECAUSE BLACK ARMOR = COOL IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE ANSWER. SERIOUSLY. SOMEONE'S GET-UP IS NOT A GOOD REASON AT ALL TO LIKE SOMEONE. THANK YOU.

Mysterious characters are always appealing. And these two provide it in droves.
Plus they have black armor. That has to count for something. Woah damn! Did I actually say that?

As Funeral Wind said, people like mysterious characters. We know nothing about Yuber and Pesmerga, people become obsessed with information about them, then over time they become obsessed themselves. People love antiheroes and vigilantes, and Pes is certainly a vigilante, what with his incessant Yuber hunt. We know slightly more about Yuber, but that adds to the mystery: He hates True Runes, but he was one. What's up with that? Can he really braid his hair? where the hell is Pes if yuber has such a big role? WHY IS HE SO PRETTY?!
My personal reasons for liking Pesmerga are this: Had I not recruited Georg, the man (?) would have definatly been in my party. Strong leik WOAH.

 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLETC. Anyway, fail to see the appeal of Pesmerga. Apparently Lucia was meant to be recruitable in II initially, but time pressed on and "STICK GIT-FACE IN! D<" Yuber's likeable because he actually does something storyline wise in the first three games. And is a manic git about it. And has a mysterious aura.

Well, Yuber is one of those characters that doesn't go all emotional on you. He also can surpass death which is flippin sweet. He is an absolutly sexy beast and has great fashion taste. His badass attitude also attracts me and the fact that he doesn't look terrible when a battle of his comes to a draw.

I think their appeal comes from their mysterious background and purpose. Plus two of them together, the Dynamic relationship of Love and Hate!!
I bet they'll either kill each other in the field, or in the bedroom. Either way- WIN!!

I actually had no interest in yuber until suikoden 3... that gave me a lot of information and just made me love his character. I love how he runs away from near death. It just makes me happy lol
