(( ANYONE in the guild can come in and see Raven. Well wisher are most welcome. ))
The woman at the hospital counter turns the full page of the guest list and smiles to you as you walk up.
"Just sign your name here, date and time, this is the recovery ward. No loud noises, if you please! Thank you." It seemed mechanic but nevertheless kindly. "Names are on a little plaque near the door so you should be able to find who you are looking for, and when you're leaving please write down your end time."
Peering down the long hall lined with rooms its overtly sterile whiteness, it would almost seem impossible to find Raven's room. Luckily everything is alphabetized...
~................~
Raven's room itself is nicely spacious, and luckily she doesn't have a partner to share the room. She has a nice view of the garden where butterflies play above the constructed waterfall and its pond filled with fish, lined with exotic and common flowers. A hawk sits on the spacious windowsill sleeping.
The room is still stark white and the sheets the same stiffness. Two people have been sitting across the bed, against the wall. They look... oddly similar especially in their facial features however the man is long and the woman short. Some might recognize her as Tekilite Penwright. Both of them look like they need some sleep.

Raven stirred in the bed and Tekilite wearily rose from the warm chair. Sparkling eyes fluttered and a small wiggle insured since, like all hospital beds... it is naturally uncomfortable to lie in one.
"Mommy?" Raven's voice called out uncertainly. Tekilite paused for a moment before speaking slowly as she shuffled towards her.
"I'm sorry Raven, but your Mum isn't here yet..." she stressed the word yet as she came into Raven's view. Tekilite put a cool professional hand to her forehead.
"When is she comming? Where...?" Raven was getting excited, she wasn't in Eden anymore! And a dam broke, her mouth barely keeping up with all the questions she was asking.
"Woah there my little dicky bird," Bryan laughed, "You need to slow down. One: Durem Hospital, Recovery Ward. Two: I found you on the street. -" Tekilite cut his chit-chat short.
"'Dicky Bird' is not an ok phrase to use you know." she stated irritatedly, "Who is Rumkai?"
Was the butterfly not with her? And then the strange echoing came back to her. It was warning... and...? Tears welled up.
"How long...?" she began as she moved her arm stiffly, "My leg and arm...? Will I be able to walk again!!?"
Bryan laughed an easy laugh, "Be right as rain, ducky." Tekilite rolled her eyes.
"I'm a Blue Jay..." she muttered. Tekilite dropped the subject since Raven ignnored her question it seemed.
"You'll be here for a day or so ok Raven? I'm sure your Mummy will come here soon."
Loki opened one of his eyes to make an assessment of the racket, staring almost balefully towards the figure in bed. He made a mental shrug and went back to sleep.

Pash walked through the garden in Durem's hospital and strode purposefully towards the recovery ward. Inside said ward he'd find His friend Tek who'd asked him to come and see the injured girl she'd brought there. Unwilling to deny his friends request he'd hurried across town to meet her.
Now as his face was misted with spray from a man made waterfall he wondered what lay before him. How badly injured the girl was and how bad a condition Tek herself was in. Stress wasn't good for humans and the stress of being strong for an injured child was likely straining the poor woman to the end of her teathers . Pash would do everything in his power to support the both of them even if it meant simply sitting there and adding to what was likely awkward silence and bored stares.
Passing the waterfall he paused and looked back for a moment, sunlight glinted of the surface of the pond the waterfall pooled into. Beneath the surface he could roughly make out the figures of what he assumed to be gold fish and koi, the typical bright cheery pond fish one foudn in places such as this. It was odd to see such colours splashed about when all around the garden while white and grey.
Taking in the various perfumes the flowers growing here gave off Pash hoped their scents would linger in his nose and keep out the chemisal stench that all hospitals seemed to come with. Taking in another deep breathe he steeled himself for whatever lay and ahead and marched towards the doors leading to the ward.
Once at the reception desk he signed his name and headed down the dreary looking hall looking at the name plates trying to find the one he needed. It took less and the minute to spot it and walked inside his seagreen eyes took in the rooms scene and he felt pity for all involved. Whatever was going on here would likely trouble those involved for a while.
"Hello Tekilite. " he said nodding to her. He'd wait for an introduction for speaking to the others.

"Oh Pash, my dear!" she exclaimed, albeit a little tiredly, "Its so good of you to come. I'm glad you got my letter from Loki, and that is him in fact there there on the window's edge," She said pointing, she then indicated that this almost mirror of a man beside her was her twin, Bryan, who actually was the one that found Raven. She was the blue-haired child in bed.
Raven looked over this Pash that had come inside. He certainly wasn't a friend of hers. But he seemed quite pleasent in the dispite. She liked his eyes, they were pretty. You don't see sea-green eyes all the time, don't you?
"Hello,' she greeted, as she fluffed up to a half sitting position, it was time to at least be nice. She wondered if Rumkai was outside, she saw few butterflies, their whispering voices bearly heard though the glass. It was a pitty that only she could hear them, she thought idly as she sat and listened to the grown-ups chatter away.
Tekilite sat down and Bryan leaned against the wall with one eye on Raven and the other to the conversation.
"So," Tekilite finally got to say, "So, I'm glad to find you in such condition. I'm sorry to say that this has been a wreck, not only that, I can't bring any cookies into the ward for Raven either. Everything is healed with a good meal I say."
"That is why you are the complete apple of my eye, darling," Bryan drawled jokingly. Tekilite smiled blandly as he continued in a more serious affirmational tone however, "In fact, you know, you should cut back on those remidial snacks of yours. That, I am serious about."
"I can do without the jokes, hun. It's been a long night. I starve for less snippit conversations," she stated, "Which, Pash, is why you're here, if you don't mind," Tekilite added in an undertone while leaning forward a little. Thusly she opened the floor for any conversation.

Pash nodded and smiled at Loki, Bryan and Raven respectively. Nervously fingering the end of an olive coloured peice of hair he tried to think of what to say. How to be neutal and yet still engaging. Small talk didn't come easy for him but it was his current purpose and all he could do.
"Good meals help but so does relaxation and feeling content." He let his gaze settle on Raven for a moment " And you my injured fledgling , if you had to have one treat brought here that the staff wouldn't likely allow what would it be? " Even if said thing couldn't be snuck in at least he could hopefuly shift Raven's mindset to something happier. When he outside of you in dmanged the focusing inward on your own wants and needs helped ( at least in his own case) to distract him from the pain he should feel.
While he waited for an awnser he winked at Tek "Mhm well if we run out of conversation topics the fountain in the garden looks big enough to wade in if the fish don't mind visitors." He said as he laughed softly" But before it comes to that let's start with the basics. What are your current future plans"

Raven looked over to Pash, not sure what to say. She had every intention of just sitting and waiting for Bird, however, that was just not happening.
"Uhm," she started, shifting her arm again,"Ice Cream. I don't think they'd bring that." Tekilite nodded.
"They only have jello it seems," she sated with a small smile before turning back to Pash.
"It seems as though, the Penwright family has to recoup the money," She stated wryly, "But it was no chore to get it for Raven's surgery. It was wonderful that we could have done something so nice."
"I think..." Byan pipped up, "That... Raven can stay with us until she fully recovers at my home in Gaia, its just outside of Durem, by the 'Great Wall' that well... was destroyed fairly reiciently. I got a bill about it, and was not happy. But it needed a remodling anyhow," Bryan ended in a laugh.
"That is, if she wants to and Bird lets us, of course." Tekilite ended with a smile.

" Well Jello isn't so bad as long as it has wipped cream and you can eat it through a straw." Pash said grinning. He remembered being introduced to such a concept not so long ago by a friend.
He listened to Brian and Tek talk while he thought, Bird must be this child's parent and yet she wasn't here? There was likely a reason though and it was just as well, Tek could do with a child in her life even for a little while.
Pash let his gaze slide over to Raven again " I'm sure you'll enjoy your time with my friends they are rather nice and even took pity on me when I was new here and utterly lost." Pash was still utterly lost sometimes but he was managing.

(( just so you know that Bryan and Tekilite are talking to you together. x3 its the trouble with having an NPC with us. I'm going to quickly usher him out though, so it's easier. ))
Raven smiled. Well, things could be better but for the moment it was ok. She liked Tekilite's purple hair, despite a diferent color poking out from the roots.
"Uh, Tekilite, I wouldn't mind. At least for a visit anyhow," Raven trailed off a little before picking up again, "Oh and that straw thing sounds great! Can I get Grape Jello?"
Bryan turned to the girl in the bed and winked, then he bent low with a flourished bow, "I shall hunt down the largest cup for you!" Raven giggled at his departure.
"Thank you, uhm, Mister Pash," Raven nodded, "It seems that they really are nice." She opened her mouth as she thought of something but thought better of it. She would reserve her thoughts for later on him. There was something that struck her about Pash and Tekilite for that matter. Not that it mattered anyhow. She wasn't sure what exactly those thoughts where, they were mearly feelings.

Pash grinned " I pity the poor nurses who will have to deal with him" he eyed Tek " I don't know how you deal with him." He teased.
Looking at Raven he laughed" Just Pash is fine my little fledgling." No title he though not anymore he was just a guide now and any title he gained even in simple mistake from a child pained him. He lifted his head for a moment and stared at the sky longing for his wings and his life back, to return to the normalacy he had known before the accident.
Shaking his head he gave a soft sigh, now was not the time to be thinking such things. He was here to help keep this child and Tek happy." Okay while we wait for the jello why don't you tell me a bit more about yourself Raven."

Tell everything about herself to this stranger?! Never! Well... otherwise she would be bored... Its not like Alex was here, or Rumkai. She missed them so.
"You'd be surprized, luckily that dashing bachelor is usually flopping around our estates, or travling the world." Tekilite muttered, giving an appraising look towards Pash. Then seeing Raven's lack of enthusiasm, she smiled and added, "We could all go around and say one thing about ourselves that we like... and then we could ask each other questions. How's that?"
Raven thought for a moment. Well that would be more fun than just explaining herself to this grown-up. Yeah... that was a good idea.
"Ok," Raven nodded from the bed, "Then... I like my eyes."
Tekilite smiled and took her turn, "Yeah they're pretty. I like... my feet! They're so small!" Raven and Tekilite giggled a little bit and subsided enough for Pash's idea about himself. Hopefully this really was a good idea.

Pash gave an inner laugh at Tek's way of getting everyone to participate in the talking. It was fair after all since trading information brought everyone a little closer togeather and made certian that no one felt pressured or under a spot light too long.
"Hmm well I like smile, everyone used to say I had my motheres smile." Pash had tried comparing their smiles before though he never could see a resemblance.
There Soemthing strange outside the building, an odd lifeforce. Pash narrowed his eyes then shook his head. Whatever it was didn't seem to agressive to it was best to ignore it for now.

Tekilite smiled.
"So, so next is something we hate? My arms. They're all feathered. It makes it really hard to grab things sometimes." Raven pulled out her arm that wasn't banaged, indeed her arm were fully feathered. Of course her feather's hadn't completely grown in yet anyhow. They were short still, not quite pefectly aero-dynamic for flight.
"Oh, but," Raven continued as she nearly mimicked Pash's strange fleeting look which drew her face to the window, "But I really should say... that I like being outside, too. Can we?"
Tekilite giggled, "Just one moment Raven. We'll need to get a nurse and a wheelchair for you."
At that moment, Bryan had come back with a large cup that was more like a bowl and a heaping of whipped cream from a can. It was the kind you have on sundaes, behind him was a nurse with a wheelchair! What irony.
"Hey! Sorry, I finally gotcha the biggest one! I told 'em you needed whipped cream too! Wouldn't ya also want to eat it outsite there?" He pointed to the side of the pond where there was enough area for Raven to be and everyone else could sit on the large bench. Everyone was all smiles.
"Want to come with Pash? It could be nice," Tekilite asked.

Pash laughed and nodded " Of course on the condition that no one attempts to feed the fish jello" he said eyeing Raven. Children sometimes got strange ideas about sharing and didn't always realise what was and wans't a healthy snack. As a child he has accidently harmed his fair share of creatures by tryignto share meals and snacks with them.
He stood against the wall and waited for the others to pass. As he did so he tried to ignorse the persistant sense of pulsing energy coming from outside. He didn't want to say anything about it and bother or worry the others for no reason. " Hey is Loki joining us outdoors or will he continue to nap." Though it wasn't much if the bird of prey chose to join them he'd be an extra set of eyes if anything odd happened.

"Well," Tekilite thought for a moment, only really wanting to let him sleep, "He is sleeping and no sense in waking him up."
But Loki was not asleep. He had tried to go back to sleep but the constant talking was making him irritatingly awake.
"I am not asleep." He intoned while his eyes were still shut, "And it, look-k-ks, like I won't be getting any either." He let out a sigh and flapped towards Tekilite's shoulder.
"Uuhmp! My Loki, you're getting heavy." Tekilite exclaimed. He gave her a disgruntled look, but said nothing.
"I guess we're all set then!" Tekilite was excited. So was Raven.
In a matter of minutes, she was robed, and in the wheelchair. Bryan was pushing it from behind. The troupe made it to the outside, crisp air yet still mostly green. Raven was happy.

Once outside Pash selected a sturdy looing tree to lean against ignoring the slight sting of the bark biting into his back. He watched the others and smiled softly it looked like going outside would probably benefit everyone.
" It's a good thing you didin't get hurt any later fledgling or we'd be standing outide in the now. Of course then we could. " He paused and looked at Tek." Make snowpeople correct ?" Pash wasn't quite versed on the habits of humans and had not been on Gaia long enough to have seen what winter time was like there so he was guessing based on what he'd read.
Flutter, flutter, twirl and glide then repeat. Above the group a rather richly coloured leaf danced on the wind getting slowly closer.
