New releases! New in theatres or recent DVD releases. What's aw(e)some... and what blows?

Here's my picks.

IMHO starwars ep III was NOT aw(e)some. They totally pussified Darth Vader, the dialog sucked, a lot of the special FX were poorly done... and the plot seemed rushed.

Hitchhiker's guide to the galexy WAS aw(e)some. It has the Kitty seal of approval, fo shizzal'.

as for recent DVDs... Team America... eh... not horrible... but not what I'd call aw(e)some either.

A series of unfortunate events was a total dissappointment as well.

Blade Trinity sucked...

Meet the fockers was funny... but not aw(e)some

Ocean's twelve... aw(e)some. I liked this movie a whole lot.

I really thought Star Wars III was awesome. They could of made the story fit in better with the originals though. They put 60% of the story of the first three into this last one. It's my favorite out of the three though.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was really awesome, but it wasn't as funny as I was expecting it to be.

Sin City was awesome. The movie stayed true to the graphic novel. The way it was filmed might not appeal to everyone though.

National Treasure was pretty good, but it's not going on my awesome list.

A Series of Unfortunate Events was a very disappointing movie for me.

Ah yes, I agree. Sin City was absolutely aw(e)some. I'm buying that DVD when it comes out, for sure.

Oh yeah, Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy was funny. xD I had never read the book before, or even heard of it before my friends showed me a clip of the dolphins singing. I was intrigued, and they dragged me to the theaters to watch it. I haven't regretted it.

There was Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights; I'm not sure how recent this movie came out, but I liked it a lot. The music was gorgeous, and so was the dancing. One of those movies that inspires you to go dance after you watch it.

Haven't seen Sin City or Star Wars III, but I suppose I'll have to do that in the summer; not enough money right now.

Ocean's Twelve was a smart, well-paced movie. I enjoyed it; the music was enjoyable too!

hmm lets zee...

i really enjoyed Hitchikers guide to the galaxy, thou, im reading the book, and in comparison, i really love the book. but the movie was still good.
awsome dolphing song~

Sin City was great, gotta love Frank Miller, prob one of the best movies of the year

Appleseed, really goes far and behyond on what CGI/Cell shaded animation can do. nice story too.

Star Wars ep3, compare to ep1-2, this was the best so far. thou, cheese dialog (wich reminds us is writen by G. Lucas) is still a decent movie, to bring the trilogy to an end. what anoyes me thou, is, why do they have far better technologi in the psat, rather than in the future (ep 4-6) razz

Napolion Dinamite: hated it, walked out of the movie 20 mins after it started

Hostage: nice movie, thou a bit too strong for some

Constantine: meeh, just another movie. wasnt that good

King Arthur: it was a good movie, loved the locations, something original and amusing to see, diferent from the rest

Troy: a bit too long time wise, but Great movie

Wanting to see:
Batman Begining
Fantastic 4
Kingdom of Heaven

You guys are naming a lot of old stuff. This is supposed to be a new releases type of thing sweatdrop Try to atleast cover stuff no older than 3 months (meaning released in the theatres 3 months ago OR released on DVD 3 months ago)

I actually have no clue when this one came out, because I had never heard of it till recently. I watched Wake Up Ron Burgandy which is a movie made up of cut scenes, extended and alternate scenes from Anchor man. I thought it was really funny but only worth watching if you've already seen Anchor man.

Oh! I watched White Noise the other day. I could of lived without watching it, but it was alright. I watched Batman Begins a couple nights ago. All I can say is it's about time they made a decent Batman movie. It was awesome. The last two were awful.

I watched hitch which recently came out on dvd... not aw(e)some IMO... It was ok though.

I usually watch a lot of new released dvds... but right now nothing is even appealing to me. Any recommendations for new video releases?

Oh yeah, I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was ok. Not great... but I guess it could of been worse. Depp was way too much MJ for me to handle. The sets were fantastic though. But overall, on an aw(e)some to not aw(e)some scale... this movie was not aw(e)some in my opinion.
