most popular surnames are Kim, Park and Lee. I know that for a fact.
With given names... Hmm, there's a lot of combinations you can make. I think some of the most common syllables are Eun, Hye, Hyun, Ji, Jin, Jung, Mun, Shin, Seung, Su, Sun, Won, Wu, and Yong. is also very common, I think. xd I'm just getting this from memory of all the names I've heard so far!
Two of my personal favourite names is Eun Shin and An Sun. I also like the name Hye Sung. ^_^
Ji Won is apparently common, for both girls and boys. eg Eun Ji Won (Singer), and Ha Ji Won (Actress)

most korean names are made by grandparents but the older parents have a pretty good knowledge of chinese characters. Each chinese character/korean syllable has a meaning to it.
Kim=Gold Lee/Yi= Plum Tree Park=Forgot xP
Ha=this can mean summer Te(Pronounced Teh)=Big Hwa=Fire Wul=Moon and so on but some names are actually what the name states
IE: Eun Shil=Silver String Eun Byul=Silver star
Some are like this
Te Hyun= Big Kindness, Te=Big, and Hyun=Kindness
~*~*~*~*~
In Suk Young Shik Min joo
