With his back to the sun, the large adolescence had no intentions of being anywhere near his mother at the moment. He was still dishearten about a previous event and thus, would be the reason why Ravi is out here, all lone and by himself. It had never occurred to him actually how far he was from where his mother was, but now, looking at his surroundings, an overwhelming feeling was washing over him. The young half-ling was indeed, lost.

Golden eyes scanned the area for any kind of markings, anything distinct that would tell him where he was but his search appeared fruitless. Ears drooped slightly as he didn't really know what to do but wander around aimless, missing the comfort of friends long since gone.

Ger yawned and stretched on his patch of grass. This was his usual spot where he slept. Now a days, he has been growing a little distant from his family and his home. He just wanted to be alone to think of what to do now. To stay here with Kujack and help Aysha when her cubs arrive or to return home to the Pride Lands where he was born. But Kujack was such a big part of his life and his family and friends were back at home. To leave or to stay. He just didn't know what to do. The juvenile got to his feet and sighed, he needed to take a walk and think about stuff.

His paws carried him along the dirt path to the Pride Lands, at least he can see his home. He secretly travelled to and from the Pride Lands a lot but could not bare to stay long. Somethin attracted him back to his foster family.

"Kujack....Trina...." names slipped his maw as his teal eyes stared down at his paws. "Ez...."

Curious, a strange but faint scent caught Ravi's attention immediately. All his senses were alert and hoping that Kol wasn't searching for him, or worse, his mother. They were probably wondering where he had run off to, but his hurt was too much to bare. Stalking silently through the flat lands, it wasn't long before he spotted the small figure of an juvenile some distance away. Relief washed over him as it wasn't his mother searching for him, though he was kind of sadden by the idea that he wasn't being missed at the moment.

Not having much experience with strangers, the young half-ling didn't know how to interact that well with others and what he should really do. Should he call out and greet the other, or should he turn and head back in a different direction? Or worse, was he invading some pride lands unknowingly that would cause him to suffer dire consequences...all these and many more thoughts ran through his mind as his golden eyes followed the small, golden body not too far ahead of him.

Golden ears swiveled and flicked when he heard another's footsteps aside his own. His small nose flared when a scent wafted to him. The lion brought his teal eyes up to meat what looked like to be a lion of the adolescent stage of his life. Strong, solid teal markings distracted his attention from the rest of his body. What was something like him doing out in a place like this, at this time of night? Then again, one could ask himself the same thing.

Ger hesitantly took a few steps before the other lion and sat himself down.

Manners, Ger, manners.

Ger thought to himself, bowing his head a little, teal eyes staring at his stranger.

"Hello."

As the juvenile noticed him, Ravi froze in place. Golden eyes watched the juvenile come over to him and sit down close to where he was. Curious by the other's behavior before he blinked. Did the other just bow to him? This was all too weird for the half-ling, he's never had someone lower their head to him, it was usually him performing that action. Though, he couldn't ignore the other's greetings and provided his own, "Hello." Ears flicked slightly as his gaze looked around them, "Can you tell me where I am?" His head turned slightly as his gaze was downward in slight embarassment, "I..I am a little lost."

Where he was? Lost? For a lion he wasn't very good at the 'trade'. Ger smiled sweetly and nodded. Taking a glance around, down the path and up it. Luckily, no one was around and that would mean that he was safe if some nocturnal preditor decided to attack them when they were talking.

"We are just a little was from the Pride Lands, this territory isn't claimed by any of the nearby prides so we are safe. Then again, there are the hunters." he said. He once encountered a rogue lioness that almost attacked him until she was "lost in his eyes", she was a wierd one, she was even flirting with him? Odd.

"My name is Ger. What is yours?"

A little ways from a pride's land, this made Ravi feel slightly uneasy. He knew nothing about this Pride Lands, that Ger spoke of. And from past experience, he tried to stay away from any prides for they could be like the Firekin and make him a slave. Though, he was curious as to why Ger was wandering out alone. Doesn't he have a mom and dad to be with? Or siblings, perhaps?

Though, his golden eyes flashed at Ger as he spoke of hunters. This wasn't good...this wasn't good at all. His mother and himself might get caught again! Not letting his panic show, he gave Ger a small smile. "I am Ravi." He introduced himself before asking, "Are you alone and not with any family out here?"

Ger flinched, he dislikes the subject of family. His life had been knotted in twists and turns. Be he had to talk about it or he would be thinking about it for a long while, haunted by it.

"My mother is in the Pride Lands, she just..disappeared one day. My father, well...I haven't met him, he left my mother before I was born. I am out here with Kujack and Aysha. They are sleeping so...yeah."

Ger looked down at his paws, actually he usually had a hard time sleeping. lately with his dreams, he just didn't want to, they would just bring up memories of his past and that conflicted with those of the present. Now, he just stays awake, hunt, run, and groom.

"It is nice to meet you, Ravi."

Taking in Ger's body language, family was a touchy subject with this one. Ravi flicked his tail as he sat down as well. As Ger spoke about his family, Ravi felt an ache in his heart, he misses his mother. It was childish, what he was doing, but he felt hurt by her. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he turned his attention back to Ger. With the mention of hunters, it made his blood run cold. "Hunters...stay away from the desert! It is a bad place that holds nothing but evil!"

As soon as those words came out, the young half-ling sighed, "Sorry...I shouldn't concern you with my problems, Ger. It's just..." He paused, "Thinks haven't been great, that's all."

The desert? Did he mean teh Firekin pride's territory? Odd, it was because of that place that he got into this mess. He was only a cub when he decided to journey to the Mistweaver Valley when he ran into Kujack, his Dad. Then he found out about Ger's trip to the Firekin desert. Heh, strange. Meeting his Dad, getting lost, and now with a family. Strange.

"Well, don't worry about me, Ravi. I promised my Dad I would not go there, you so mustn't worry about me either."

He said with a soft smile.

"Your problems? If you need help, I can try. Though, sometimes I need help as well. Scratch mine and I will scratch yours?"

He really needed someone else's opinion of his thoughts of what to do.

Feeling slight relief overcome him, Ravi gave the juvenile a small smile. That was reassuring at least. Problems, yes Ravi had plenty of problems, both physically and mentally. Golden eyes gazed at Ger, debating with himself if he should open up with this juvenile. It would be good to get another's view on the matter as his was slightly biased. "It would be better to explain things fully...you see..." He turned his gaze away, slightly ashamed with this next statement, "I am half Firekin."

Continuing his story, "Because living in the desert for almost all of my life, I fear strength and power and fighting because it never leads to anything good. And now, my mom and her friend want me to learn how to fight, which is something I don't want to do."

Ger smiled, "Learn how to fight? Would you not want to defend yourself if you were ever attacked? I learned to hunt when I was young and I hunt a lot. I don't fight either but if worse comes to worse, I will have to fight back, y'know? Don't see it as a bad thing, fighting is a way to keep yourself alive." he paused, "If I had to fight, I would fight to protect those that are close to me."

Ger sighed, "What should I do if I want to return home, but want to stay with my family? My friends and family is back in the Pride Lands, but Kujack is here. I want to go home, but I want to stay with Kujack....what should I do?"

Ears flicked as Ravi tilted his head to look at Ger. "I don't know...I just don't like the idea of hurting any, even in defense." He sighed softly, "One day, one day I'll learn." Golden eyes looked out in the distance with a slightly glazed look before shaking his head and returning his attention to Ger and his problem. Hm, that was a sticky situation. "Well, my obvious answer would be to go and be with your family. Who's more important to you? Say, if you return home to your family and friends back in the Pride Lands and you're not happy, would that be a good move then? My mom had to make that choice when leaving the pride. It was either stay with her family or find a better place to raise me. It's a tough decision, but as she tells me, do what is better for you of the two and what you really want."

"But what if I want both!? I want to go home, I want to be with my friends, I want to be with my family!" he shot back in desperation. "They are all I have, Ravi! All I have! I cannot just forget them, Kujack, Aysha, Ezeoha, and Trina, I want to be there for them, all of them!" he shouted, slight tears in his eyes. He had never spoken like this before, he never shouted like this. He usually never talked about his problems either, hinted, but never spoke of it.

This was Ger, the one hidden deep down inside, the cub that was lost behind when he left the Pride Lands.

Ears flatten slightly against his head as Ger shouted at Ravi. Golden eyes turned slightly as he sat down and curled his tail around himself. In a soft voice, "No one ever said life was easy and full of easy choices, Ger. We can't always have what we want all the time." And then, a realization came to him, he was being selfish about what he wanted and not what his mother wanted. Sighing softly, "I am being selfish for wanting to do what I want to do, and not thinking about my mother," He paused, "I can only give you advice, not tell you what to do Ger. Clearly, wanting both is tearing you apart and having to decide on what to do. You can't bring the two together and all live in the same area? That would be the simplest and clear-cut choice, but nothing's ever that easy..."
