Kielvos, he gave a groan. It was a bird... and here he had for a while gotten out of flying classes after the last one. Man was that a bit of a disaster, he'd hoped that it would be the only one but really it wasn't as if D-corp would stop producing children with wings just to accomedate a teacher that was worried over messing up another class. So he decided to spend a little longer on this class, a little longer on planning it.
And after a while of plotting it came to him, a note was sent to Kielvos and his parent saying that they would meet outside.
So waiting outside for the raven child to arrive was Orpheus, Ligeia, and Vorel who wasn't so much there to help with the class as he was following his partner. Ligeia had his hair braided back tightly and was dressed in a simple tank top and shorts, standing next to Orpheus who was giving him some instructions. He was going to be helping out today with the flying class as he was able to do the flying thing himself.

It wasn't very long before a very dark and sullen looking youth entered the area of the three. His clothes, which would have looked like something a good and proper little boy would have worn, were tattered and soiled. For now he kept his head down, bangs covering his face, while hair trailed down on either side of him, in two "pig tails", though one could hardly call the messy clumps that.
Mother was not in sight. He had promptly gotten rid of her at the door. Shoved her aside...he was upset at mother right now. Locking him in his room, calling him a bad boy, making him go to sleep...not that he had. The dark circles under his eyes enough proof of this.
Spotting the group a ways off, Keivlos squeezed at the hideous plush doll in his hands. A disgusting thing really, dark, smelling of mold, stitches all over his cloth exterior, and...was that blood on him? No matter, Keivlos had found him, and like everything Keivlos found and claimed, he had grown quite possessive and attached to it. This was his comfort toy.
Quietly he made his way over to the trio.

Vorel noticed the incoming raven first, the scent of his toy reaching the nostrils of the dragon and caused him to look his way, snorting. The sound drew the attention of the other two who finished up their talk then and turned to see the student that was on his way, Keilvos. Ligeia tilted his head to the side, taking him in. He then gave him a smile, "Hello there." He greeted the one that he was going to be helping with flight today.
Orpheus looked over his clip board, not that he had notes there he hadn't gone over a million times but to calm his nerves. This was the first flying class he'd done since the first one... come on Orpheus! You can do it! He cheered himself on mentally then gave his new a nod, "Good Morning Keilvos, I'm Orpheus and this is my son Ligeia. He's going to be aiding the class today since he had wings of his own. Better to learn flying from someone that knows how to do it rather then someone that can only read about it."

The little white haired boy stopped a few feet of the others. Ligeia's greeting and smile making him only want to further the distance between himself and the others. A few strands of the pale locks shifted allowing Keivlos to glare up at the cheerful creature before him. Creases in his forehead became biger as he gave a frown. Leigeia may have been the pretty white color that he so very much loved and was enamored with, but that seemed to escape his mind at the moment. All he could really think about was how angry he was getting because of the happy thing before him. Stupid...why was it smiling.
A few word from Orpheus' mouth and the man with colorful orange hair received the same un-welcome look. Back and forth the raven's dull grey and bright red eye flashed. Eventually he locked his gaze upon the older man. His voice was raspy and soft, as if he had used it all up. It was probably due to the screaming and kicking fit he and had given Madeline this morning.
"Keivie fly just fine." It was a perfectly true statement in his mind, just another factor adding to his irritation. Children, they think they know how to do everything. From an early age the raven had been driven to use those wings of his, causing his mother extra worry, as one day she had caught him trying to jump from their apartment window on the third floor. What he called flying was usually jumping from the highest point he could find and crash landing.

Ligeia tilted his head to the side as the smaller bird boy frowned at him, he blinked a couple of times before looking over at his father. Orpheus watched the raven, listened to his words before he nodded, "Alright, I will give you a chance to show me your flying skills." He told the smaller boy, "If you can do it as fine as you said then you will automatically pass the class. Sound fair?"
Orpheus looked over at Ligeia, "Up." He said, motioning.
The owl child nodded before opening up his wings and gave a flap taking to the air, moving up into the air above his father and the raven.
"Just fly up to Ligeia and your done with the class." Orpheus said, wondering if maybe the boy did already know how to fly. If so that would make the class a lot easier on everyone.

What was this person bumbling about? What was it to "pass". The raven didn't like the look he was being given. It was all in his head though, truly Orpheus was being incredibly nice about the whole thing. Giving him an opportunity to pass if he could prove himself. It would save each party a lot of headaches.
The looks stopped though as Keivlos watched Ligeia soar up into the air. Eye's grew wide with amazement and said frown on face seemed to disappear all together. White thing was so high up! So high up! "Keivie come too! Keivie come too." The bird shouted not even registering Orpheus' wishes.
Placing his favored toy into his mouth Keivlos took off. Thunk, thunk, thunk. Little feet pounded upon the ground and when he soon felt that the wind was streaming against his cheek fast enough he began to pump his wings and did a flying leap up into the air. Up, up....down. The bird came to a flattened and screeching halt against the hard ground, skidding the last couple of feet on his face.
He remained still for a few minutes, the awkward and painful position his body formed in suggesting the possibility of death. But kids, you know how they are, little suckers just bounce right back. With in moments the boy was twitching and sitting up. Oh, nice one...a bloody nose!
Pulling the doll away from his mouth, Keivlos held the scruffy thing up with a beaming smile, "Look Dmitriy! Weeees dids it Dima we diiids it!" He cried, ignoring the red stream trickling down his face and onto his shirt. It was a classic kid moment, except had Keivlos been any other boy the moment would almost seem endearing, not twisted in some obscure way.

Orpheus for a moment thought that the boy was actually going to do it, he seemed pretty confident the way he took off running, getting a good start and leapt up. Then promptly crashed back down causing the teacher to wince before he hurried over to him, "Are you alright..." He halted mid sentence as the boy sat up and seemed to be fine aside from the bloody nose. Ouch.
Ligeia fluttered down, landing in front of Keivlos, "Are you alright?" He asked, "You took a pretty good spill there." He reached into his pocket to get out a hankercheif and held it out to the raven so that he could wip off the blood.
"Well that wasn't..." Orpheus chewed on his lips a moment, "Exactly right so I think that it would be best for you to stay in the class and get a little more learning."

The child was still hugging his toy as Orpheus came over, words awakening the raven from his moments of triumph. Tilting his head back Keivlos stared up at this funny guy. Back, back, back his eyes looked--thud, down he went, smacking his head on the ground. If either the bloody nose or the head smacking had hurt him though the boy didn't show it. There were no tears to be found, just a sly grin on his face.
Now as the snowy white thing approached, Keivlos sat up again. This time he brought his limbs in tight as he wrapped himself into a little ball. Hands hugged his knees, while toes dug into the cool earth, no shoes on today. Keivlos hated shoes. "Heee..." Keivlos grinned as he swatted the handkerchief back towards Ligeia. Silly thing. He didn't need that to clean himself off. Running the back of his hand over his face the raven half smeared half wiped of the crimson liquid. Blood was delicious after all...an if mother ever caught him tasting the precious red shiny she would have a fit. It was also a treat which was hard to come by. But he liked it so much, the scent, the flavor, it reminded him of dead...whatever that was.
Again Keivlos tilted his head back to look at Orpheus, he kept his balance though this time. With a little nod and cute smile Keivlos showed that he would be more cooperative this time. "Go higher?" He asked, attention now shifting back to the owl in front of him. "Snowy white thing take me higher!" Darting from the ground Keivlos wrapped himself around Ligeia's middle in a loose hanging hug. Awwh, how cute....he was snuggling something other than the hideous toy he had dropped onto the ground.

Ligeia was only a little thrown when the boy before him went from knocking his hankercheif away from him to clinging to him and hugging on him in the blink of an eye. What an odd little kid he thought to himself. He gave a little smile and looked over at his father for direction.
"That was what the plan was." Orpheus told the raven boy, "Alright, Ligeia take hold of Keivlos's hands." He instructed them.
Ligeia nodded and reached down to take Keilvos's hands in his and gave a flap of his wings, bringing the boy up into the air off the ground. He didn't lifting them high up to keep the raven at a safe distance from the ground and flapped lazily to keep them up.
"Try flapping your wings too." Ligeia said to the raven.

Multi colored eyes grew wide in sheer delight and surprise as with the owl’s help he was lifted off the ground and into the sky. It wasn't very high up, but to children everything is grander and larger than life. He was up high, so high, high, high "HIGH!" The boy wiggled and squirmed in the air, belly button dancing back and forth visibly as his pants slipped and shirt rode up.
Flap, flap, wings already fluttered behind him. Ligeia hadn't even had to ask him to do it. He was all in such a dither, thrashing about here an there. Hopefully his fit of glee wouldn't have thrown off the other boy too much.
Despite his size, Keivlos could be a powerhouse of trouble.

Ligeia hadn't ever carried one to anyone around before so this was a little different then normal, with him squirming it it made it a little harder to stay aloft. He had to open his wings wider and flap a little harder to keep them up even with Keivlos's help.
"Your doing pretty good so far." Orpheus said and reached up to push against Ligeia's feet to push them up higher. The owl pushed off his father's hand and flapped to bring them up more, "Try to match your wingbeats to those of Ligeia, Keivlos. That way you won't throw each other off balance and will be able to go higher."

Sweetly toothed grin looked down at the man with the bright hair. To be quite frank, he didn't understand what Orpheus was asking. Something to do with wings and a beat...to beat...didn't that mean to be physically brutal? Was this funny thing on the ground asking that he beat the pretty one above him? The one that was taking him so high?
Surely no. Then again, perhaps the thing on the ground shared in his love of the shiny red. Oh! How thrilled the raven was at the thought. For a breif instantce his wings and Ligiea’s moved together. Now higher they went, perhaps a good ten feet off the ground now. It wasn't a horrible distance, however, it could still be a dangerous fall.
Swat! Keivlos in his position tried to break away from Ligeia's grip. Sharp finger nails which hadn’t been cut for some time (oh believe me, Madeline had tried) grazed the back of the owls hand. The black bird was tired of the help, he was bored of going up high, high, high. After all the thing on the ground had said it wanted him to beat, no?
Who was he supposed to beat except the creature above him. Left hand wriggled free, and he swatted again, as wings kept moving.

Ligeia's eyes went huge, what in the world was the smaller bird doing? The thought came to mind as he started to fight against the hold of his hands even as they got up higher, "A-Ah! No, your going to fall!" He said, even as Keivlos jerked one hand away from him to swat at him. Holding the raven child by only one had with him struggling and flapping was really throwing him off, his wings were flapping rapidly to try to keep them up but he started to lose altitude, a good thing cause he doubted he could keep a hold on the boy much longer...
Orpheus looked up at the two boys, what was the raven doing? Did he decide that he was done with Ligeia's help? Orpheus moved, getting ready just in case someone needed caught.

If Keivlos’ should be panicked, he didn't show it in the least. There had been m any times before where he had fallen...never gotten hurt though. Always there had been some sort of saving grace. Would this be the time that he learned he could actually hurt himself?
With a twist of his head, the raven flung himself and his body back. Now, right wrist twisted away from Ligeia's hand. "Lets gooo!" Came a hiss. He had a job to finish, a job which required both hands. But what was this? He was...dropping now, dropping fast, dropping away from the owl, from the pretty white thing which he was supposed to beat.
His own little black wings, which had momentarily paused, now began to flutter vigorously. No! He wasn't going to let this birdie escape from him. He had too--Flap, flap, flap! Slowly but surely the raven gained speed and momentum. He was now only five or six feet from the ground, soon enough though he would be back to where Ligeia was.
Congratulations. With out knowing it, Keivlos’ had found the motivation to fly.

Ligeia gave a cry of surprise as he lost his hold of the boy, lifting his hands up to cover his eyes as he didn't want to see him hit the ground... when eh didn't hear anything though he peeked out from behind his hands and looked down. Wait... instead of falling the boy in fact seemed to be flying on his own? Ahhh... maybe he hadn't wanted help anymore he thought to himself. Then gave his hands a shake, looking down at them. There was only minimal damage from the struggling raven if nothing else. Maybe he shouldn't be so ready to offer help in his father's classes anymore he thought idly... having no idea what the raven thought that he was supposed to do, or that he should be watching out for the other bird child.
Orpheus gave a sigh of relief as it seemed Keivlos had figured out flying, good... maybe this meant that him doing flying classes was possible? He wasn't cursed?
"Alright! You seemed to have gotten the hang of it." Orpheus said, praising the raven. Flying without hurting himself, this class was going far better then the last flight one he'd had to do.
