i've been feeling a sort of emptiness lately...loneliness, even. being with people helps, but it doesn't completely fill the gap. have i drifted too far from God? i feel as if i have. i write this with tears in my eyes, please help me! i feel scared knowing i could die any moment, and without God in my life...

i even feel lonely sometimes, but what i do is i just start talking to God... a lot of you might think I'm crazy, but i actually get into a long conversation with God... but don't forget about God... He's a great buddy, if you ever need anything, just ask Him, and your not crazy if you actually get into a long conversation, the way i think of it, He's always happy to hear you talk with Him... mrgreen

In order to be close to God you need to have a relationship with Him. You need to pray as often as you think about it, and make time to do so at least once each day. Remember that prayer is more than just giving thanks or asking for help. When you pray, you open up to God and be honest with Him and yourself. It is the perfect time to reflect on things and think about how you can change to please God and better enjoy His company. Make sure you spend time with christian fellowship at least one time a week, or more if possible. I have found bible studies have always helped me because I learn more about God and I get christian fellowship at the same time. Hang in there you'll make it, I'll be praying for you.

The moment you give up, is the moment you start to lose. it's not like i'm new to Christianity, unless 13 years is considered new. i just seem to drift. like i might feel great one minute; you know, the "i'm gonna go and live my life without sin from now on" mood, but then in five minutes i'll be like, "life sucks." sad

I feel lonely often, usually due to my precarious situation with my friends. But it always helps to know God is always there to talk. But I'm not just saying a formal prayer, for it is so much more! How do you talk to your friends? Thats how I talk to God. It is so much more personal and he always understands. What I do is say, "Hey, God, I am really hurting. Come and help me please. You see, what happened was..." And you know. just talk your heart out. It helps so much! biggrin

Demonic? See, I believe that misinterpreted prayer is a big problem nowadays. I have that problem with my friends. THey all think that prayer is just thanking GOd for the day and asking him for a couple of things, and saying thanks again and then closing. Its so ritualistic it just becomes a boring habit day after day. But prayer is so much more! It is a personal talk with God, a Christian's best friend. YOu just have to be open to his voice. I mean, he doesn't necessary talk like you do to your friends. SOmetimes he wil answer with just a feeling in your spirit or through something or someone. IF you teach yourself to be open to any opportunity that he might speak to you, you will know when he answers you. It is so wonderful to feel great peace when you make everything right with him and know that He is with you.
