Just found out we were pregnant 2 weeks ago! I go for my first ultrasound on Tuesday! xd We're so stinkin excited! I'm due sometime around May 12th (the ultrasound is to find out the exact due date since my cycles are longer than average) so I'll be at 7 weeks this Saturday! whee I've been really tired and irritable, but no real morning sickness yet. I've been doing a good job of eating every couple of hours to keep it from happening. I don't really have a preference for a boy or a girl, but I think Jason wants a boy cause he doesn't like the girl middle name that I have picked out. (I want our first child to have my dad's middle name cause I am the oldest and my mom gave me her dad's middle name as a way of honoring them) So if its a boy, it'll be Edward, and if its a girl, it'll be Edana or Edina. He thinks those two are too weird so I told him he just better hope we have a boy then xp

thanks! I'm so excited! I've already been working on my registries and such (with some help from some other mommy friends to tell me what are some "must have" items!) I'm a little anxious about the finances, but not as much as my hubby is... I'm sure God will provide for us and the blessing he's sending our way though! xd

heart Congratulations, sweetie! heart

And don't worry about the finances, throughout history people have always had babies while they were young and just scraping by. That's when the babies come out the healthiest. And the good news is that babies aren't actually too expensive at first - the expenses grow with them! mrgreen Well, assuming family and friends really chip in to get you the necessities, anyway. Crib, car seat, and high chair are the biggies - most other stuff you can improvise. And people *love* buying baby clothes for new moms, so you'll be set for at least the first three months on that front.

My mom always likes to tell me the story of how she cried because they could only afford to get my oldest sister one Christmas present for her first Christmas - and they made it through and had three more kids in fairly rapid succession, and I never remember a lousy Christmas, and maybe we all passed down our clothes, but we never went naked or had to shiver through a winter without a coat.

well, i've made it through the 1st trimester and really only threw up twice, so i guess i should count my blessings! i'm planning on starting back to the gym next week now that the risk of misscarriage is down considerably... and i'm starting to get some energy back. I've been mostly just tired this whole trimester! Always wanting to sleep! But the hardest challenge is in front of me now... not OVERgaining during the holidays! So tempting! mrgreen

I'm jealous you only threw up twice! 3nodding
Just make sure you check with your OB on what exercises are and are not okay while you're pregnant. Oh, yes, the holidays are fun when you're pregnat. *giggles*

Ye god, I always had that horrible weepy stretch too...It was especially bad during the Olympics, when they play for tears anyway. I remember sitting on the couch, sobbing, and begging someone to shoot me for being such a sap. whee Congrats on not throwing up much, that's awesome!

Well, we went to the Dr. last week and heard the heartbeat again, and so now I can rest easier knowing i made it safely into the second trimester! I'm starting to journal my food and drink intake again because i think i may not be eating enough... i think it might be the cause of the many many headaches i've been getting. So hopefully I'll get the right amount of calories and h2o in me now that I can phsyically see how little i've had in a day. My hubby was worried about me, so that's mainly why i'm doing it. The Dr. said I had lost 3 lbs. since my last visit (even though I WAS really really bloated the time before... so yeah I know I lost a bunch of bloated water weight) anyway... babbling. see you guys later! heart
