Since the birth of her cubs, Mtima'safi had acquired more worries than she'd ever expected to come of motherhood. Some of it came from naivety on her part, the rest came from what she knew but did not expect- there are bad souls, not all creatures are good in nature. Her daughter had a bad soul, no matter how she tried to ignore it, and it seemed no nuture could ease the cub. The goddess had decided to take some time for herself, the cubs were outgoing enough now that she did not need to loom over them the whole day.

Her wings were hidden, cloaked in an illusion- something that had become more important, she felt, since having cubs. Without knowing the Pride's stand on gods, she wasn't even prepared to let her children know- for children tend to have a harder time than some keeping secrets. But she found this was getting tiring too, she wanted to make an attempt to just relax and be worry-free.

Mtima picked the shade of tree to relax in, dropping the illusion over her wings and just settling into the long grass. Her feet folded neatly beneath her, her wings folded neatly on her back, and she dozed off peacefully.

Zuri had been playing in the hot sun most of the day away from her brother and father looking for something to do and now was headed towards one of the watering holes. As she was walking past one tree behinf a lionness she stopped blinking, well it wasn't odd to pass lions or lionesses under trees but this one...

Zuri backed up and looked at lady again her eyes wide before sneaking over to her looking at the wings in awe. "Are those real?" She asked tilting her head as she stood only feet from the goddess her golden pelt with a "blad" head marking cooling in what shade she stood in. He golden eyes full of questions.

Mtima's dozing prevented taking any early notice of the young lioness when she walked by, even when she stopped to stare. What brought her from her daydreams was the curious voice. Her eyes snapped open, and she turned her head to look at the questioner.

"What?" she asked first, before really understanding what the juvenile had asked and noticing the glance at her wings. One look at the young lioness was enough to tell she was a good soul, and most likely a Pridelander based upon pelt color, "My wings? They're real." Mtima's wings unfolded and stretched out, just brushing at Zuri's nose as they straightened full span.

Watching the wings as they brushed past her nose she sneezed softly, "Ohh they're pretty! So loins really can fly then?" she said in a simi-questioning tone as she watched them.

Pausing for a moment she reliezed she'd been rather rude. "Oh I'm Aurizuri but friends call me Zuri." She said with a grin. Watching the goddess, "You're pretty."

Mtima folded her wings on her back once again, turning herself a bit so she could comfortably look at the curious little lioness.

"Thank you," she said gratefully, "Some lions can fly, the gods." Mtima's explanation was very simple, as if Zuri would understand the concept with no explanation. It was as simple as gods being flying lions, if no further enquiries were made.

"My name is Mtima'safi, it's truly a pleasure to meet you, Zuri," she introduced herself politely, smiling. It was the most cheerful she'd been in a little while, in fact- she was quite enjoying it, especially when Zuri complimented her.

"Thank you," Mtima smiled, "You are lovely yourself." Her gaze was specifically on the young lioness' golden eyes.

Zuri sat down nodding looking at the lionness, "So your speical!" She said with a grin and a nod. "I've never met a god before." Her tail flickered.

"You're wlecome and thank you!" She said with a grin. "Do you know any other lions in the pride?" She asked her head tilted as she looked around to see if any others were around that might look kin to her.

"Everyone has something that makes them special," Mtima replied, wrinkling her nose in a smile at Zuri, "You're a good little lioness, and I think that is something special." It was certainly something one appreciated after extended contact with one who was not particularly good.

"I know a couple lions in this pride," she replied, "I'm a member of the Pride, but no one knows I'm a goddes. Can you keep my secret?"

She nodded listening to the goddess, "I suppose me not knowing my mother also makes me speical." She shuffled her feet softly as she looked up towards the skys light witha sigh before looking back at the goddess.

"Oh? Well i'm glad we're members of the same pride." She grinned before nodding softly, "I will for you." She grinned, being able to keep a secret such as this one made her feel important, she grinned as her tail flickered. "What do you do for fun?" She asked after a few moments of being quiet.

When Zuri commented on not knowing her mother, Mtima became quite still and took a moment to look at the little golden lioness. She was reminded of Kilango, not because they were alike, but because they were so different. Her own daughter was constantly implying she'd be better off without her family, without her mother, and being so bitter. Zuri, on the other hand, was a sweet little one who actually did not know her mother.

"You don't know your mother?" she asked, sounding as surprised as she felt. The goddess frowned, wondering what would bring about such a situation. Her mind wandered back when Zuri continued to question her.

"So am I," she agreed, "I've spent most of my time with my cubs lately, though I'm not much of a playmate for them, I try to have fun. I'm sure you have some better ideas of fun than I do, what do you do?"

Zuri's tail flickered, "My father said she has an important job and that she misses us but just can't keep us up and what she does too." Zuri shrugged softly her tail flickered, "I still have my brother and father though so I suppose It makes up for some of it."

She sighed softly moving over more beside the goddess laying down, "Oh you have cubs?" She grined forgetting about the emptyness she felt. "I'd love to meet them!" Her tail flickered in thought, "I like to watch the clouds and play tag... but normally that's no fun when you're playing alone." Her tail flickered, "I sometimes chase those colorful bugs with the big wings that float by from time to time."

"I'm sure the job would have to be incredibly important to have to give up your cubs," she said in an attempted comforting voice. Such an explanation was better than some others, at least the lioness was alive- importance of a job was subjective, but she believed Zuri's mother would have thought it over carefully. Mtima smiled at Zuri when she settled in by her.

"I do have cubs, I'm sure you'd fit in nicely with them," she grinned. At least, Zuri would get along nicely with Wahabu. Perhaps Kilango was friendlier to those outside the family. "Clouds, tag and butterflys?" the goddess repeated after her, "I'm sure those things are a lot of fun."

Zuri nodded softly looking around the pridelands. "Yeah.... Still can't help but wonder why..." She rolled her shoulders in a shurg. "No big deal though.... not like it matters much anyways."

She chuckled softly nodding, "I'd love to meet them one day, maybe soon? I tend to spend most of my days wondering about where i've not been forbidden to go anyways." Her tail flickered, "Ah yes they are, although I think hide and find is fun too, but there's never really been enough time to play that game..."

She looked at the goddess, "I've seen others play fihgt each other too.... I guess to work on hunting skills."

"It matters, Zuri," she frowned at the way the cub spoke, "Family does matter, immensely. I am a mother, it would not be a decision taken lightly.." Mtima trailed off, there was little that she could say that would be of great comfort to the lioness. Instead she would focus on the happier side of the conversation.

"I'll show you where our den is, if you like," she suggested brightly, "Then you can stop by and see us any time you like. You're always welcome to visit." The goddess nodded, and then listened to Zuri's explanation of some other games. To these she only gave another nod, Hide and Seek was time consuming and play fighting could be helpful or dangerous, in her opinion.

"I suppose." Her tail flickered, decideing not to press the matter farther than what it had been.

Upon the goddess offering to show her the den she pondered looking at her. "Of crouse. Depending on if it's near pride rock or not... dad doens't normally like us "going" that far." Her tail flickered as she looked around. "Although he might not mind if I'm with another lion larger than myself." She nodded looking at the goddess beside her if the den was around priderock it'd give her an excuse to play there and her father couldn't say no could he? She'd be around larger lions and a group so he couldn't worry about her getting hurt or taken away.

"Our den is closer to Priderock than we are now, but we're not too far into the lands right now," she replied, looking off into the distance, where she knew her den to be, "I don't think it should be too bad, you wouldn't be in any danger where we are." Mtima was assuming that Zuri was not allowed far away from Priderock, it was odd to think she would not be allowed near it. The closer you were to a group, the safer you were, right?
