I came up with a great theme party. Sadly I never got to have it. crying

I called it my alice in wonderland unbirthday party. I was going to do it a few days after I turned 18 so it would be on my un-birthday. I had everything planned:

First of all the invitation: For the date I would have to include, the time, day, month, year, century...ect and other useless info like that.

Then the party itself: It would be a mad-hatter style tea party. I would be dressed as alice. I actually have a loli-style dress that would be perfect. All the food served would have some relevence to the book. The first course would be tea of course, with raspberry tarts, and other tea snacks. The main course would be mock turttle soup(I have the recipie). Then the dessert would be plum pudding. All the table decorations would be card themed and the centerpiece would be a white rose tree half painted red. The party would also have to be outside on a nice day.

Party games: Croquet of course. I could even paint the balls to look like hedgehogs, and paint the mallets to look like flamingos.

So yeah. I never actually got to have this party. But its an un-birthday party right? So I can have it whenever. Sadly its now too cold.
crying But I definaitly plan on having it next spring once the weather gets nice.

So if you peoples want to use my idea you can. Or if you have any other lolita theme parties planned you can talk about them here.K.

My nee-chan wanted to do something like that...We might just have to borrow some of those things. biggrin (We were gonna dance around in a holding-hands-circle and sing the song, and then have someone like...slide down a rope really slowly singing the mouse's part. xDDD)
Sadly we never got it planned out beyond that. confused I feel your pain, my dear. ;-; *pats head*

Im hoping it turns out alright. Im having trouble deciding how many different teas to use though, could anyone help me out?

XD

Me and my friend are currently planning one -- just a plain old Un-Birthday party, though. No Unbirthday Birthday.

XDDD So far, I'm gonna be the Queen of Hearts and she'll be the Cheshire Cat. We're filling in roles right now..

You'll need a lot of opium, though - it's just not Alice In Wonderland if you're not tripping...

But anyways, what other foods would be served? Perhaps Victorian food? I remember reading the American Girl Samantha book and her tea birthday party. She wanted finger sandwiches and homemade ice cream and a few other cute foods.

They could wear Alice-themed outfits (ex. an Alice Bow and that Wonderland skirt from ITS)

My friend had a birthday party just like that! And we all even dressed up as characters she assighned us! That is except for me....she made me the mock turtle.. That isnt cute at all, why would i dress up as a dirty muddy turtle? I was so jealous of my best friend who got the part of the Qeeun's rabbit, he looked so cute and pink!
